I'm so grateful for you.....

I visited my LSS the other day and found they had a small area of MFT products there.  I was super excited as I had been eyeing some more of their Die-namics and Pure Innocence stamps.
They even had the Sheltering Tree and Leaf Duo Die-namics....the one I was wanting!
Whahoo.....I didn't have to pay shipping and it was a tad cheaper than the MFT store!
So I went in search of a card to CASE and found this beautiful card
by Melody on her blog A Paper Melody.  I didn't change very much except for the pattern papers on here!

I made this card for a very good friend of mine, Laurie, who shopped for me at CHA during her vacation with her hubby.  I am so grateful that she proxy shopped for me!  Thank you Laurie!
Well, she mentioned that she went to the MFT booth just to get the Rolled Flower die and they
were sold out!  So when I saw that my LSS had them......I went and bought her one as a thank you!
She got this card in the mail yesterday so I am safe to post it now!  LOL

This last photo actually shows where I stamped some text from PTI onto the blue DP
in Vintage Cream.  Like I said, I CASE'd this a lot if you look at Melody's card.

Thanks for taking a peek today!

Tuesday Sketch Challenge #74 by Mercy

I thought this sketch challenge was a fun one so I thought I'd give it a try although I didn't follow it exactly!  Let me know what you think!!
I had this stamp set out making my son's teacher "end of year" gift and just had to ink it up again!
My friend, Jen Carter, and I recently were on the "hunt" for the CHA exclusive stamp set from last summer.  Well thanks to Jen, I am now the proud owner of this set.....Floral Fusion!!  I know this will be one of those sets that I go to again and again!!  Thanks Jen!

I am LOVING this color combination.......Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, Kraft, and Spring Moss!!!
I recently received my new scallop die from PTI (my first one was defective) and I find myself grabbing for it over and over!!

This card uses the "rock 'n roll" technique.....which for this flower image works great!
I with held adding any "bling" to the center of the flowers as I wanted the flower colors to shine!!
Can you tell that I over stamped Background Basics:  Text Style there in tea dye inks?
My tea dye duo is dying...literally!!!
I will have to place another in my cart the next time I order!!

Here is the sketch I based this card off of..........

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #2

So, here we have another great sketch for this week's Paper Doll Challenge!  This week it was hosted by Meg and you can find her sketch over at the Paper Doll blog.  Why don't you try out this weeks sketch and play along with us?  My card uses a lot of kraft cardstock and pink!!

Holy moly, did I use a lot of background stamps on this card?!!!  5 total background sets!!  It was fun inking them up to make the panels for this challenge!  I also dug out my neglected Cupcake Collection set.

Nothing too fancy about this card........just a lot of stamping!  Here is a close-up pic of the layers on that cupcake!!

Here is the sketch my card was based off of this week.  We welcome ANYONE to come play with our challenges....you just never know what it will be!!

Oh, the festivities over at PTI are just so much fun!!  Today Nichole Heady posted a new feature coming soon:  a weekly technique challenge!  So, we start off with an Emboss Resist technique!  It has been a long time since I've tried out this technique...but the results are stunning!  Here is my entry into this challenge!!
I used my one of my favorite sets:  Heart Prints for this challenge as well as a new MS border punch!
Don't you think that bow is just wonderful?  I am getting much better after watching Dawn's bow tying video! You've got to check it out if you are having trouble tying bows!!

The countdown is here.....

Yes, I'm talking PTI......Their release is tonight and I've had my eye on a couple of sets the last couple of days during the project release on the PTI teams blogs. So, to prepare for the release, I thought I would post a card I made with last month's release Vintage Picnic for my sister-in-law. I am very happy with how this turned out. I absolutely LOVE these stamps.....I know I've talked about my obsession to a few "stamping friends" but now I've come out of the closet!! Have you checked them out yet? You know where I'll be at 10pm tonight....checking out the sets in their entirety and then at 11pm ordering that is to say if I don't get called into work!
I hope to join a couple of friends on MSN/Yahoo (if msn doesn't work....wink Laurie) to visit about the release! Thanks again Laurie for helping me with MSN!! See you all tonight!!
