Celebrate!

Flowers 2 #2

Hello!  I'm sharing the last of my Paper Smooches projects as the July Guest Designer.  I want to thank Kim from Paper Smooches for having me this month! xoxo

Paper Smooches

This first card some watercolor for the background.  I was a bit scared at first using purple but I really liked how it came out.  I've used the Flowers 2 Dies and a sentiment from Best Buds.  This just uses simple diecutting and layering.  A tiny bow from Bows Dies was added to complement the flower centers.

My next card uses the new Flatware 2 Dies and a sentiment from Shindig Two.  My background was stamped in grey ink using the heart cluster from Shindig Two.  I stamped my sentiment in Staz-On onto vellum and hand cut into a banner.

All Star

Hello!  Last weekend finished our son's regular season of baseball.  He ended the year playing in the Mo-Kan All-State Games.  It was a FABULOUS end to his season.  Loved watching him play the game that HE loves.

So here's a card for him.........using some Reverse Confetti stamps and Confetti Cuts.  I've used the set called Winning.  This is such a great set for ANY sport.  I used the (now expired) sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!  It was perfect for what I wanted to do!

Watercolor Inlay

Hi everyone!  I have a Taylored Expressions card to share today that you may have seen over on the Taylored Expressions blog last week HERE.  I encourage you to check that post out as all the details on how I created this card are there.

I love this technique called Watercolor Inlay.  Basically, I watercolored 2 pieces and then inlaid the pieces back into the base like a puzzle!  Super fun and easy!  Makes for less bulk for mailing unless you add a raised "frame" like I did!  LOL

Thanks1

Congratulations

Paisley2

Hello!  I have another Paper Smooches card to share as Guest Designer this month.

Paper Smooches

I have always loved Paisleys.........enter the Paisley Dies from Paper Smooches.  I've used them here for a wedding card!  I diecut the Paisleys out of white cardstock and adhered them to a light grey cardstock panel.  To soften this look, I machine stitched a piece of vellum with zig zag stitches that had been stamped with "Congratulations" from the Sentiment Sampler set.  Lastly, I added a few silver glittered enamel dots.

Lil' Inker Designs July Release: Day 2

Amy Pineapple2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs July Release!  This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps that are sure to "jump" into your cart!.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from my friend  Chrissy Larson's blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

Want to know a secret about me?  I hate pineapples.....to eat.  YUCK!  I've never liked them and still don't!  BUT I love this stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs called Pineapple Panache.  This is how I can enjoy pineapples!  haha!

I started by diecutting the Cover Up Die: Dotted Scallops with VELLUM and stitched it to a piece of white cardstock.  This panel was added to a piece of Dip Dyed Ombre paper from Lil' Inker Designs (currently out of stock).  I added my stamped and diecut pineapple with foam adhesive over a strip of light grey cardstock that was stamped with the "Welcome" sentiment from the Pineapple Panache stamp set!  A few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added as embellishments.

Lil' Inker Designs July Release: Day 1

Amy Flowers2

Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs July Release!  This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps that are sure to "jump" into your cart!.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from my friend  Jen Carter's blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

I wanted to share my favorite thing from July's release with you first......this amazing flower die called Quilted Flower Die Set.  There are so many ways to use this stand alone die set!  For my card, I've used all 3 dies to layer my flower.  I started with die cutting 1 solid base flower in colored cardstock, 1 solid base flower in vellum, and 1 cut out flower in colored cardstock (which was then ran through with the "quilted" die from the set!!!  Too COOL!)  Layer all these together for the blooms on my card.  The sentiment is from a new sentiment set called Greetings and Salutations Stamps.  I added a few coordinating sequins from Pretty Pink Posh too!  My grey panel was done using the Stitched Mats: Rectangles for the added stitched border.

My next card uses the new Snailed It stamps and coordinating dies.  OMG......so so cute!!  I created a little scene here starting with a Distress Ink blended background.  I began diecutting my background clouds (using Cloud Sky Die and Rainbows and Clouds Die Set), Sun, and frame "border" (using Stitched Mats: Rectangles).

Next, I stamped and diecut my cute snail!  I handcut an extra "shell" and used foam tape for dimension.  I used my Mistii to stamp the sentiment from the Snailed It stamp set.
