Reverse Confetti / CAS(E) this Sketch!

Hello!  When I saw this new sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch today, I knew I had to play along.  I totally had another card using Reverse Confetti ready to go but I had to share this one instead!

I've used Flowers for Mom to create the blooms and leaves using Reverse Confetti cardstock in Piggy Bank, Buttercup, and Grape Soda.  I layered them over a die cut circle which was layered over a panel of pattern paper from Fun Times paper pad.  The sentiment was perfect and fit onto the banner from Flowers for Mom.

Hello Bluebird / Sunshine and Rainbows

Sunshine and Rainbows

Hello again!  Rainbows!  They are one of my favorite things.

The new Rainbow Sky Die and Grassy Knoll Die are just fabulous!  My background was done by watercoloring stripes using Distress Ink onto regular cardstock.  Nothing fancy!  Using the dies from these sets, I created the rest of my scene.  To add some sparkle, I added some coarse glitter across parts of the cloud edges.  That sentiment?  It's from the Rainbow Script stamp set......♥♥.

Technique Tuesday / Countdown to Release Day 2

Duck Swan Goose2

Hello and Welcome!
Today, we continue the countdown to the Technique Tuesday June release!
This release is perfect for SUMMERTIME!

Make sure to check out the Technique Tuesday blog for all the products featured today and full list of inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!  All products will be available (via their links) for purchase starting on June 1.

Who doesn't love a punny card?  Duck Swan Goose stamp set is one of those sets and is perfect for a masculine card especially with Father's Day coming up!

I created my scene by ink blending Distress Oxide Broken China over a cloud stencil and adding some die cut grass.  I colored my duck in with Copics and added it to my scene with foam adhesive.  The lower part of the grass was a perfect space to stamp the sentiment.

Technique Tuesday / Countdown to Release Day 1

Sweet Summertime2

Hello and Welcome!
Today starts the countdown to the Technique Tuesday June release!
There are such fun stamps and dies for SUMMERTIME which is officially here with all the hot temperatures we've been having!

Make sure to check out the Technique Tuesday blog for all the products featured today and full list of inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!  All products will be available for purchase starting on June 1.

Sweet Summertime epitomizes what is so yummy about summertime......ice cream, watermelon, strawberries, pineapples.  The sentiments in this set are so awesome and can be mixed and matched in so many different ways!

I stamped and Copic colored my "wheel" of watermelons.  I added the sentiment by white heat embossing onto black cardstock using "times with you" and adding in "are" from the "you are" stamp.  Customizing!  The new outline Sweet & Cool Dies are awesome!  The sentiment was die cut from black cardstock and the outline from white.  This panel was layered over green and berry colored cardstocks to the left side to keep with the watermelon theme!  A simple twine bow and some clear sparkling sequins finish this off!

I am happy to be a part of the May release and 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop for Studio Katia.  Join me and so many others for this celebration!

Mermaid2

These two mermaids were made for each other!  I've paired the darling mermaid image from Mermaid for each Other with the new Halftone Dots Cover.  The panel behind my Halftone Dots is a layer of alcohol ink background I created.  A few gems from Studio Katia to finish!

My second card celebrates a birthday!  I've Copic colored the Kobi Bearing Gifts and layered it onto a panel of impressed black cardstock using the Halftone Dots Cover.

Queen & Co. / Floral Embellishments

Hello!  If you didn't know, Queen & Co. just released lots of NEW embellishments!  Flowers, baubles, epoxy dots......the list goes on.  You are sure to find the right embellishment for your card or project over at the Queen & Co. store!

My first card uses the Tulle Blossoms paired with the new Halos.

Tulle

To start I die cut the Lines Die from the Designer Die Collection (this is used for their shaker cards) out of white cardstock and layered it over gray polka dot paper from Flirty Florals paper pad.  I stamped the 'Happy Birthday' (from the Birthday Bash stamp set) with black ink onto one of the stripes of the die.  I added the iridescent Halos to the centers of 3 Tulle Blossoms with a hot glue gun (yes, I said hot glue gun!) and then adhered them to my card.  To finish, I added some white Epoxy Dots and did a dusting of Shimmer Spritz over the whole card.

My second card uses flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet Pastels.

To start, I added a decorative edge border panel over pink gingham paper from Flirty Florals.  I added an assortment of flowers in pink, white, and black/white gingham.  I paired this with a layered 'thanks' die cut sentiment.  I finished this with a dusting of Shimmer Spritz over the whole card.

Avery Elle / Hummingbird

Hummingbird

Hi everyone!
I'm here today sharing a card using the new beautiful Hummingbird stamp set from Avery Elle.

Avery Elle

I started by heat embossing my main elements using Avery Elle Gold Embossing Powder onto Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper.  Using the Avery Elle Liquid Watercolors, I watered them down and using a waterbrush, I watercolored the images using several layers in some areas.

Hummingbird2

I added my images to a panel of cardstock that was cut with the Hatch Mat Elle-ments.  This die leaves the perfect spaces to stamp your sentiment!  I love the angle look!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello Bluebird / More May Release!

Happy Monday!  I have a bit more inspiration from the new Hello Bluebird release as well as the card I shared last week.

Wildflower Bouquet

If you know me at all, then you know I love floral stamps!  Wildflower Bouquet is going to fast become a favorite once my dies arrive!  But in the meantime, I love to stamp my own background paper.  I stamped a panel using a few images from this set in a color palette of purple, yellow, and pink.  Add a decorate border to the bottom and adhere panel.  Sentiment is from Rainbow Script.

Technique Tuesday / My Sweet Petunia Blog Hop

Beautiful6

Welcome!  I am excited to participate in the collaboration blog hop between Technique Tuesday and My Sweet Petunia!  We are all sharing projects using these products.  Stay tuned as there are prizes up for grabs!

******Please excuse the wonky colors in my photo.  We are in the process of getting new flooring and my house is a MESS!  I've had to take photos in a different location for now BUT a new craft room comes SOON!!  Be sure to follow as I will be posting pictures of my before and after once it's all done!******

I used the Enjoy Flower Layered Stamp Set from Technique Tuesday because of it's layering possibilities.  The Misti Stamping Tool is perfect for a stamp set like this!  I have lots of photos to share so let's get started.

Beautiful1

I started off with a panel of cardstock and stamped the solid image in a bright yellow ink (all inks from Altenew unless specified).  Using my Misti, I added the shading layer with a darker color of the same shade of ink.  The Misti makes for perfect even stamping especially when you need to add more color as I did here with my shading layer.  One layer was too light so I was easily able to restamp to make darker using my Misti!

Beautiful2

Next, I've added the centers with brown ink and then black dots for the centers.  These flower just come alive with the layers!

Beautiful3

Now, this panel is really pretty the way it is but let's take it up another notch!  Using the OUTLINE stamp, stamp it using black ink (I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne) for a bold effect.  I show how here how the flowers each look before I filled in the rest of the panel.

Beautiful4

Once the panel was all stamped, the panel was trimmed down and added to the same yellow color cardstock (Sunshine from MFT) which was then added to a top folding white notecard.  To finish, the sentiment (from Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set) was stamped onto a white strip and the 'Beautiful' diecut was added below.  The sentiment strip was hand trimmed into a banner end and adhered with foam adhesive.  Here is the finished card!
