Mini Halloween cards!

I have a quick post with my kids mini cards I made for their mailboxes for Halloween
this year.  They look forward to these mailboxes and the goodies I tuck in there.
I will set these out at the table where they eat breakfast in the morning before I go to work.

This year I knew exactly what I wanted to make for their mini cards.......using the Friendship Jar/Fillers
stamp sets.  I hadn't used them yet and Wow, I LOVE them!

Here is a picture of both together......aren't they just the cutest?  Both cards were made for
challenges that are listed below.

The spider card was made using the current challenge at Off the Wall Craftiness.  Did you see the news?
I am very happy to announce that I will be joining Kim's DT in November!

Are you ready for a fun blog hop?  I recently bought Flutterby Friend solely
because of this cardKeva's blog has rocked this set lately and this blog hop is for her!  hehe
She thinks this is just a hop showing off this stamp set in different ways but for me
it is dedicated to Keva for being such a great blog friend and creating inspiring
cards that MADE me buy this set!  LOL

Halloween Treat Decor and some cute pics!

Hello to you!  Today is my son's Halloween party at school and I whipped up these cute QUICK
"picks" for his brownies that he wanted me to bring!
Oh what Scor-Tape won't do!  I LOVE that stuff!  Seriously, I knocked these out in 20 minutes!

Now on to some fun pictures of what kept me busy this past week!  My dear daughter turned 5 and
we had a special guest at her party, a miniature horse!  She even asked, "Daddy can we keep him?"
It just melted our hearts!!  We had special cupcakes for the occasion too!
They were soo yummy!

Thanks so much for visiting and come back tomorrow for a special blog hop with some
friends using a favorite PTI stamp set!

Snowy Wishes and a challenge too!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  We are having our daughter's 5th Birthday party
at our house this afternoon and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no rain.
We are having a special guest, a miniature horse. It's been soo hard
keeping this a secret from her for the past few weeks.  She really loves horses (right now) so
when a friend said they would bring Shorty over for her party, we took her up on it!  Thanks Rusty!

For today's cards, I used my new stamp set, Snowy Wishes from Wilson Designs.
Let me tell you.....Kim's set stamps so beautifully!
My cards fit the challenge over at Wee Memories this week:  "Cute Holiday".

I did use some of that fun new paper from PTI, Distressed Dots, and paper pieced the
cute snowman's scarf!  Kim has included so many cute accessories for the snowman.  It's
hard to choose!  Don't you just love the snow?  I used some Sparkly Fluff.....it is so fun!

My second card is a mini 3x3 card using just the branch and birdie from this set.
Kim included several sizes of sentiment fonts and I thought this one was perfect for a 3x3 card!
If you look real close, I did stamp some snowflakes on the panel with my branch.  I didn't
realize that I grabbed my "old" version of Spring Rain ink.

This card was super quick and will be perfect to tuck in a holiday treat this season.

Gotta run for now......lots of party decorating to do!
Thanks so much for visiting!

This is a pretty clean and simple "man" card......no bling just 1 button!!
It's my husbands birthday today (Happy Birthday honey!)....so I broke out my
Seeing Stars dies from Papertrey.
He LOVES the Dallas Cowboys and thought why not make a card in those colors!

Good news..........

Did you see the post over at Practicing Creativity today?
Courtney announced that I won the challenge contest from last month.......a guest designer spot!
Thank you soo much Courtney!

Just for fun.

Hello all.......Busy busy here.  I have not had a chance to post in almost a week!
Yesterday was my daughter's 5th birthday.  It's hard to believe
that she turned 5.  Where does the time go?
I hope to get some crafty time in soon as I have received some new goodies in the mail
over the past week and I can't wait to use them!

This was one of the cards that I made while at
my Stamping Away weekend. It also uses some fun new goodies!
We went to a great little scrapbook store in Wichita, KS and I found these new stamps
by Kaiser Craft.  Love how they package their stamps!  My background doily stamp is one of them.
It is a border stamp that I just stamped to create my own DP.

Don't you just love that rose?  Rolled rose......isn't it just beautiful?
I paired it with hand cut felt leaves.

Have a wonderful day!  Stay tuned to tomorrow's post as I will be posting my
Limited Supply Challenge cards that we did at our Stamping Away weekend!

Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act{51}

When I saw this color combination over at the Curtain Call Color Challenge
this week, I just knew I wanted to play along.  Nothing like waiting until
the last minute....the challenge is due here soon!

I don't have these SU colors so I substituted PTI colors for this one.  They came out
pretty close I think!

I had fun with a new embossing folder I found called Oriental Weave.
It makes such a nice deep embossing.
I also did some sponging while my Nestie circle was in place......haven't done that
before but will certainly try it again!  What a nice effect!

I also used the 2S4Y sketch by Kazan again.....it's just so versatile!
I'm serious.....Love this sketch!

Have a wonderful weekend!

2s4y Sketch #63: Sketch by Kazan

So, I am finally back and unpacked from my Stamping Away weekend.  I had such great
company this past weekend.  Laurie and Jen are just the best stamping friends.......they
each gave me support in my cardmaking and made honest suggestions for changes.
We each did a Limited Supply Challenge card.
So be watching for the post next week showcasing these cards.....kinda a mini blog hop!

Ok, today's card uses the great sketch by Kazan at 2S4Y.  I decided to turn the sketch on its side and
use some pattern paper on the one side (to resemble the "lines" on the sketch).

I found this awesome Christmas paper line Tinsel and Twig by the girls' paperie at my LSS
yesterday.  I knew I had to cut into this and use it for this sketch!  No more hoarding paper!
My stamped image is from the PTI anniversary set, Round and Round.  I used my
Versamark marker to apply ink to just the berry and leaf image and stamped on my label.
Then I gently rubbed chalk over my image....voila!

I also changed the sketch up a bit by using my Nestabilities Labels 4 because Laurie and I
had placed an order with WMS for Very Vintage Labels No.4 frames and I wanted to use them here.
Let me tell you......These frames are INCREDIBLY easy to line up!!

Have a wonderful day....it's gorgeous weather here in Kansas!
