Amy, from The Stamp Market, has some AMAZING designs and seriously, her COLOR CRUSH line??  I *need* these colors in my stash!  

My background was stenciled with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink onto a blueberry cardstock using the Plaid Stencil.  I added a Botanical Beauty die cut in white and then overlayed just the outline over the top lifting the edges.  Once simple die cut "hi" (from Scallop Frame Die) from grey cardstock was adhered slightly overlapping the leaves.

Color Throwdown / The Stamp Market--Petal Patch

Hello!  

I am so honored to share a card as a Guest Designer for the Color Throwdown Challenge!  These colors are sure to get you inspired!

Again this week's colors are fall inspired and gave me a chance to use this beautiful layering stamp set from The Stamp Market called Petal Patch.

Actually, to create this card, all the supplies are from The Stamp Market!  I stamped a kraft panel using the Just Checking In stamp to create my own background paper.  I added a kraft die cut frame using Oh Happy Day Shaker Die.  I stamped and die cut my florals from Petal Patch and arranged them in the lower left corner.  My sentiment is 'thankful' from Lots of Leaves (yes, I used this last week too! It's that good!) and partial stamping from Friendly Bunch.

Color Throwdown / Lots of Leaves from The Stamp Market

 

Hello!  I am so honored to share a card as a Guest Designer for the Color Throwdown Challenge!  These colors are sure to get you inspired!

This week's colors are fall inspired and are what drew me to use this new stamp set from The Stamp Market called Lots of Leaves.

I stamped them in red and orange inks and added the patterns in black ink.  I layered them over a blended area of Broken China/Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  A stacked sentiment stamped in blue finishes out the colors for this challenge.  As an embellishment, I added a twine bow and some gold gems.

The Stamp Market / Tropical Blooms and Ice Cream for You

Hello!  I'm so honored to be up over on The Stamp Market blog today as a guest designer.  I adore The Stamp Market stamps and what's even better, I've had the opportunity to meet Amy in person!  I met up with her at the Heidi Swapp booth during Creativation in January!  

I had the pleasure of being a part of the Instahop over on Instagram last week.  If you missed it, you can check out the designers using the hashtag #thestampmarkethop.

 

Are you a fan of layering floral images?  Then you will love the Tropical Blooms set!  I created this bright tropical card using Altenew inks (which are perfect for layering stamps).  I've layered it over the Diamond Design Background in a light grey ink.

 

Next up, is this trio of cards using the Oh Happy Day Shaker die and the Ice Cream for You set (which is free with a $25 purchase!).  I layered my frame over the Painted Polka Dot Background in yummy colors of coral, blue, and green.  I added the sweet little popsicle in coordinating colors along with a stamped 'happy' sentiment from the Ornament Stamp Set.

These are going to be so much fun to send out as 'happy mail'!

The Stamp Market / Tiny Trees and Ornaments

Good morning!  It's good to be back crafting after a week off after the Kansas Stamping Away retreat I help co-host.  It's always an amazing weekend packed full of laughter and memories.  However, it leaves me needing a short vacation afterwards!  That being said, preparations for the spring retreat have already begun!!!

I have more inspiration featuring The Stamp Market stamps and dies from the holiday release.  I went with non-traditional colors for my 2 card projects today!

My base colors for the Tiny Trees are all Distress Oxide inks in Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Broken China, and Peeled Paint.  I stamped them in little lines and overstamped the trees randomly with other images from Tiny Trees in Onyx Black Versafine ink.  I didn't worry about stamping straight as I was going for the graphic look.  To finish, two simple sentiment strips were added with foam adhesive across the trees.

My second card also uses non-traditional colors with the addition of LOTS of gold embossing!  I've used the Ornament Stamp and dies to create 2 ornaments that were colored in by blending Distress Oxide inks.  My ornaments were embellished with black sentiments, gold heat embossed icons, and some mini gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  For this ombre stamped chevron background, I used the border stamp from the Ornament Stamp Set.  Using my Misti tool, I was able to just stamp and move upward each time by a bit to create this pattern.  I simply gold heat embossed this as well!

The Stamp Market / Holiday Cheer

 

Good morning!!  I am thrilled to be back as a guest for The Stamp Market.  I adore every single thing about this company!  I may have a *slight* problem.......I can't resist the releases!  It's so bad that I have turned on post notifications for The Stamp Market on Instagram so I don't miss a single post!

I created a card and small wrapped gift using the new Holiday Cheer stamp set.  First, I must say that I was going in a totally different direction with my card when I began stamping the snowflakes.  Before I knew it, I had stamped a larger snowflake out of the smaller one, so I went with it!  

 

I white heat embossed the snowflakes and over stamped with Versamark but off setting it some.  To this, I heat embossed again but using Silver Pearl Embossing Powder.  This gives such a nice shimmer to the images.  For my sentiment, I used 2 sentiments from the set and white heat embossed onto separate black strips which were then added with foam adhesive.  To finish, I added a few flicks of Heidi Swapp White Color Shine, some clear confetti from Pretty Pink Posh, and a few drops of White Nuvo Crystal Drops to the snowflake centers!

 

For my coordinating wrapped box, I used the same Silver Pearl Embossing Powder and heat embossed the snowflakes onto kraft gift wrap.  To finish, I hand cut 3 tags and to the black tag I white heat embossed the sentiment and snowflake.  Everything was tied off with burlap twine!

The Stamp Market / Florals Galore

Hello! I am back for my second guest post for The Stamp Market.  I am just smitten for all the florals in May's release.  They are just beautiful and totally my style!  I had so much fun adding color to these florals for the two cards I have to share today!

This first card may just be my favorite floral card I've ever created!  I chose colors that exude happiness and spring.  I stamped all my flowers from Fun Florals in an array of dye inks from Altenew using my Misti for quick and easy stamping.  Once I had the layers all lined up, all I had to do was rotate my cardstock and could stamp the next color on each flower.  The leaves were stamped with Altenew green inks for layering.  

All my images were hand trimmed out and arranged onto a white top folding notecard.  Once I had them arranged where I wanted them, I used Press 'n Seal to keep them in place (to remove them) so I could stamp my sentiment.  I just love the font of the "friend" stamp (from Best Ever Greetings) and when done in bold black?  Bam.  It's just amazing.  For a little depth, I added a stamped "you're the bestest!" (which I love to say) on a tiny strip of white cardstock and added it with foam adhesive.  Next, I added liquid glue to the backs of my flowers and added them back to my layout.  By using the Press 'n Seal, you can see exactly where you want them placed.  Clear sparkling sequins were added to embellish.

My next card, I had fun using watercoloring with Distress Inks and the Pretty Peony stamps.  I started by creating a watercolor background using Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Picked Raspberry.  I used the smooshing technique and dried my watercolor paper between colors and layers.  I love how it turned out.  That being said, it was a bit bright so for my final layout, I did layer trimmed vellum behind my peonies.

I stamped my peonies in Versafine Onyx Black (it's good for watercoloring) and then used the same Distress Inks for watercoloring my flowers as I used for the background.  I did a loose watercolor not really paying attention to the lines much as I was going to trim these out anyway.  I did the same technique for the leaves but using Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.  

The images were hand trimmed out and arranged onto my vellum/watercolor panel again using Press 'n Seal so I could position my sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment (from Best Ever Greetings) with black StazOn ink onto my vellum panel.  For dimension, my panel and florals were adhered using foam adhesive.  I couldn't let it go without adding some clear sparkling confetti sequins.

The Stamp Market / Ombre Butterflies

Hello!  I am so excited to share some cards using the new May release from The Stamp Market.  If you haven't taken a look at their stamps, you are missing out!  They are fresh, trendy, and totally my style!  I am honored to be a May guest sharing my first post this week!

I literally squealed when I opened my package last week.  These new sets are drool worthy in my opinion!  I knew the minute I opened my package that I wanted to ink up the Papillon Patterns set that coordinated with Papillon.  

I stamped my backgrounds using the dotted background from Perfect Pieces Background in ombre colors of pigment inks. My butterflies were stamped in the lightest shade of ink and then the striped pattern was stamped over the top with a darker shade. While the stamp was still there (using my Misti), I stamped again but just the bottom of the striped pattern in a darker shade. I love the ombre look! 

The pink butterfly I added one more layer, from Papillion, to the center. The best part, there are even more details you can add to the butterflies! I kept them clean and simple.
