Today was my son's first day of school. (3rd grade...really??) In keeping with the tradition I've started when I made them these mini mailboxes, I made a little 3 x 3 card to tuck in there with a little note. I added a few other things in there too! He was soo ready to go back to school but am I?? I think what else has been on my mind lately is that my daughter will be joining him at school next year for kindergarten! So, I have one year left with her before she goes out into the "world".

My little Mimi started *K* this year and boy...time does go by fast!!! My baby is growing up...sniff!!! On the other hand I'm thrilled to have plenty of *me* time again...LOL!!! Hugs ~S~

What a sweet thing to make a special card for your son's first day of school :) I don't know what 3rd grade is like in your school district, but it was both my son and daughters favorite year of grade school. Hope your son has a fabulous year too!
