Avery Elle / Floating Lanterns

Hi crafty friends!

I have a technique I used on my card using Floating Lanterns.

Creating night skies for a variety of types of cards is so fun with just a few Distress Inks.  Here I've used Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot.  Each of these were ink blended from dark to light with Black Soot added at the very top.  This does not have to be perfect as then I added some water splatters and lots of white pigment ink droplets using a small paintbrush.

All of my images were Copic colored, die cut, and white pigment pen was added for shadows.  Once my background was dry, it was time to assemble my scene of these cute critters and lanterns (done in rainbow fashion of course!).  I added in some stamped black stars along with a white heat embossed sentiment.  The grass was die cut using the Slimline Borders Elle-ments and then ink blended with only the ink left from my "green" brush!

Papertrey Ink / The Great Cover Up

Roses2
Hi crafty friends!
Dana and I are co-hosting today's post over on the Papertrey Ink blog for the feature "The Great Cover Up".  We love our Cover Plates and Border Bling Dies so our challenge is to use them!  They make for beautiful background whether you inlay (like Dana did) or use them for a backdrop for some of Papertrey's gorgeous Into the Blooms Dies.

I used the Border Bling: Blooming Hearts Die done in all white.  It has such fun whimsical border cutouts!  For my focal point, I began die cutting the pieces to the Into the Blooms: Roses.  They were inked up with various shades of the new Distress Oxide color Saltwater Taffy and Distress Oxide color Peeled Paint.  Once colored, they were all spritzed with water and then white pigment ink.  These two techniques really soften the look of the blooms!  After arranging the roses, a sentiment strip that was white heat embossed, with Inside Greetings:  Happy Hello, was added with foam adhesive.  To finish, white pearls were the perfect touch!

**Fun note--This card was actually made back when the roses were released but I just wasn't happy with it!  I set it aside and moved on.  Here, I deconstructed it (ripped the rose and leaves off) and the remade roses for a much softer, feminine look.  I love my second version so much more!

Pinkfresh Studio / March 2022 Washi, Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Dahlia Hexagon2

Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio
March 2022 Washi, Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release!
So excited to share some of the new Washi products along with some fabulous Nested Hot Foil products!!

For all release information please start from the Pinkfresh Studio Blog.

My first card uses the Dahlia Washi Tape and coordinating die.  I've paired it with the NEW Nested Hexagon Hot Foil Dies.

The Hexagon and sentiment (from Brushed Sentiments) was hot foiled using Matte Gold Foil.  It has such a nice compliment to the gold foiling on the Washi tape!  The hexagon was adhered to a pink panel that was die cut using the Blanket Stitched Rectangles.  Several other Dahlias were added in behind the hexagon.  Some gold gems were added across the panel.

My second card uses the Fuschia Washi Tape and coordinating dies along with some previously released products.

Fuschia2

This is a mini slim card done using dies from Pinkfresh Studio.  The background was stenciled using Slimline Heart Builder Stencils along with Pinkfresh Studio Inks.  I couldn't resist adding one of these amazing foiled sentiments from Celebrating You and some gold pearls.

Avery Elle / Birthday Paw-ty

Hello!

I am here to celebrate with a Birthday PAW-TY!!!

***SHOP Avery Elle HERE***

There are some critters to help you celebrate!  The two full cat images were Copic colored and die cut as well as lots of confetti that match.  The images were all added to a background made by ink blending Mermaid Lagoon for the sky and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink for the die cut grass.  The entire scene was then die cut using the Wonky Stiches Die.  This is one of my older favorites!  The background elements were created using the Slimline Borders Elle-ments.  As final touches, a few black stars were stamped and a few white dots of pigment ink.
