Technique Tuesday / Fun News

Hello! I'm so excited to share that I have joined up with the wonderful DT over at Technique Tuesday! We will get things started with the new release next week!

I had to make a project to share today using the Enjoy Layered Flower and coordinating dies. I stamped and die cut the flower and leaves (I used Altenew ink) and layered them on a piece of light green gingham paper that I used the Threaded Crafting Dies on the edges for the zig zag look!

Winnie & Walter / 4th Birthday Bash Blog Hop Celebrating Love and Friendship

I had fun mixing and matching some stamps and dies from Winnie & Walter.

I started with a panel of Bristol Smooth Watercolor paper to which I white heat embossed the outline hearts from From the Bottom of My Heart. Using some watercolor, I loosely watercolored over the hearts for an emboss resist look to create my background and added some splatters. Using a another piece of watercolor paper, I die cut the In a Word: Hugs Cutaway several times to create my chipboard element. Sending You, from Sentimental: Love, was white heat embossed on a thin strip of black cardstock.

My sentiments were adhered over a die cut heart from the From the Bottom of My Heart Cutaways. This panel was adhered over a strip of black/white striped paper on the left. A few die cut hearts from watercolor paper and clear sequins were added as embellishments.

SugarPea Designs / Release Day!

Hello!

I am excited to share the last of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs! We have shared inspiration using the new release all week long. With several new stamp sets and matching dies.......there's something you are sure to love!

The NEW products will be available for purchase starting this Friday (today!), February 16th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

Let's talk about this fantabulous new coverplate called Diagonal Striped CoverPlate. You can do endless things with a background like this. I chose to die cut in white and layer over a polka dot panel from Spots & Stripes Pastels.

The cute milk and heart shaped cookie were Copic colored and layered with foam adhesive over a Zig Zag Stitched Circle. For my sentiment, I simply used one of the strips left over from diecutting the Diagonal Striped CoverPlate to stamp a partial sentiment.

SugarPea Designs / Sweet Peek Day 4

Hello!

I am excited to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs! Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release. With several new stamp sets and matching dies.......there's something you are sure to love!

I love the look of topiaries but I wanted to use this stamp set in a different way. I stamped the heart topiary from Garden Topiary onto the scallop stitched panel from the new Card Front Element Builder SugarCut using 4 different shades of pink ink. To all the lightest stamped heart, I over stamped the sentiment in black ink. I love by stamping this panel, it reminds me of a postage stamp!

HERO ARTS 2018 CATALOG

One of the new sets that I just had to have is this adorable Mouse Tea Party. I used the emboss resist technique to stamp a strip of background to "ground" my images.

I started by masking off a strip of white cardstock with painters tape, white heat embossing the small images (butterflies, flowers, greenery) in this set, and blending Broken China Distress Oxide Ink over the images. After Copic coloring my mice, I used the Mouse Tea Party Frame Cuts to cut out my images. I added them to my emboss resist strip with foam adhesive and stamped my sentiment.

My next card uses the NEW Deep Ocean Liquid Watercolor. Using a piece of Bristol Smooth watercolor paper, I did a wash of clean water and then dropped color in and let the water do it's thing. Before it was completely dry, I laid a paper towel over the panel and lifted some of the color. The result was perfect!

For the focal point, I used the Color Layering Butterflies Bundle (includes stamps, dies, ink). I used the green inks in this bundle for the larger butterfly and the inks from Kelly's Flowers and Jayne's Blush. I stamped all of them using my mini Misti. To finish, I used the Hello Stamp & Cut set for my sentiment.

Now for those NEW liquid watercolors.......you need them. Here they are all together.......gorgeous!
