Right at Home April Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Right at Home April Release Blog Hop!!  We are excited to share some inspiration using this month's new stamp sets!  This release consists of 4 new stamp sets that are perfect for any time of the year.

I have 2 very different cards to share today!  First, is my favorite because it involves rainbow, watercolor, and heat embossing with emboss resist.  I started with embossing the large open sentiment "awesome", from Color in Sentiments, onto the smooth side of a piece of trimmed Tim Holtz watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and Clear embossing powder.  (this is the only way I black heat emboss).  Next, I used Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, and Wilted Violet Distress Inks and painted stripes across my black embossing.  The panel was adhered to a top folding notecard using foam adhesive.  A tiny white heat embossed banner was added to finish my sentiment!

Now, I did want to show off the Handmade by Me stamps by embellishing my envie on the front and the back as well as the back of my card.  I love these little finishing touches to my project!

My second card was made using the Right at Home Back to School Die Set (previously released).  I created the black board using the dies from the set and white heat embossing the sentiment, 'Thank You' from Tiny Sentiments.

SugarPea Designs--April Sweet Peek Day 2

 

Hello!  Welcome to Day 2 of the brand new release for SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets, matching dies, and even some new products.......there's something you are sure to love!  The entire April Product Release will be available starting Friday, April 15th at 6pm EST in the SPD Store.

Today we are sharing inspiration using the new Funky Wreath - Spring Addition.  It's a perfect addition to the Funky Wreath - All Seasons.  I started by cutting a kraft "frame" using the 2 largest Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles.  You can do this in one run through of your die cut machine!  My wreath was stamped in brown pigment ink in the center of my notecard.  I embellished it with twigs and berry stamps from this set.  I stamped, die cut, and assembled the flowers from the new Funky Wreath - Spring Addition layering them over my wreath with foam adhesive.

SugarPea Designs--April Sweet Peek Day 1

Hello!  I am thrilled to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release for SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets, matching dies, and even some new products.......there's something you are sure to love!  The entire April Product Release will be available starting Friday, April 15th at 6pm EST in the SPD Store.

Today, we're sharing 3 new products that are part of our Sweet Chic Collection that is illustrated by Simonne Clay.  I was so excited when I joined SPD that I would once again be working with Simonne's designs......she's a great friend, a fabulous designer, and I love her style!

I've used the new Whatever the Weather stamp set and Whatever the Weather SugarCuts.  I love everything about this set.  I've created a Distress Ink (Salty Ocean) washed background onto watercolor paper.  I stamped my sentiment using my Mini Misti.  After die cutting the images, I laid out my pieces and adhered.  This whole panel was added using some of the new SugarPuff foam for dimension.

Sugar Pea and Thanks friend.......

Hello!  I am so thrilled to share that I am joining the Sugar Pea Designs design team!  Next week starts the new April release and let's just say it is ADORABLE!  

I have a card to share for my first Sugar Pea post........it uses Bee My Honey.  Adorable images to create a little scene!  All images were Copic colored and one tiny cloud was fussy cut and added with foam adhesive for dimension.

Reverse Confetti April Blog Hop!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog and I am the next stop! It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!  The new release is AVAILABLE now!

I love creating a card with lots of white space with pops of color.  Here I've used Garden Bunch and coordinating Garden Bunch Confetti Cuts.  The blooms were layered over a die cut black Double Circle Panel with Leafy Confetti Cuts.  My sentiment from Bitty Banners was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed with clear embossing powder for a bold shiny look.

My second project is something a little different.  I've made a locker magnet using the new Insta-Frame Confetti Cuts.  I printed a photo of my kiddos from our recent vacation, trimmed it down, and added it to the frame.  Since I'm a nurse, we have an area with lockers for our personal things and I can't wait to add this to it!

Countdown to Confetti: Day 3

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti April Release!  We are celebrating with .....4 new stamp sets, 8 Confetti Cuts, and new Quick Card Panels this month!  Wahoo!  Make sure to check out the Reverse Confetti blog for a list full of inspiration and more projects! 

Today we get to share the CUTEST new set from Dawn Machell called Bear Hugs with coordinating Bear Hugs Confetti Cuts.  Koalas!!!  

I just had to use the momma and baby koala for a baby card.  I created my focal point by diecutting a circle from both my pattern paper and my white cardstock.  I sponged some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink where my circle would be on the side of my panel.  Using the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts, I created my frame for my focal point and adhered with foam adhesive.  My koalas were colored with Copics and diecut.  My sentiments from Bear Hugs were white heat embossed onto grey cardstock, trimmed out, and adhered with foam adhesive.  A few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added.
