Happy New Year! My first official post of 2017!!!
I have emerged from the holidays and ready to get back to my craft room. I had to take some time off for ME.......2 whole weeks. It was much needed. The holidays (for several reasons) always leave me in a funk. These 2 weeks, I have focused on family and time with them. It's been wonderful!
I have a CAS card using the Rocky Shores Elle-ments which are perfect for wintery cards when used as an icy shore! I paired them up for a quick scene building card with the adorable penguin from Polar Pals. Yes.....I said penguin. Singular. I used the "mirror stamping" technique to have another penguin so that it can look at the other one!
Technique--Mirror Stamping
Stamp your image onto a solid stamp but be careful not to stamp too hard that you distort your image. This transfers the original image "backwards". Now stamp as usual. The new stamped image will not be as dark as an original but don't worry, you can fix this! I Copic colored my image and then used a Pigma Micron 03 to trace the black outline of the stamp. I don't have pictures or a fancy video.......just google and you will find many videos on this fun technique!!
Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!

Thanks for the instructions for mirror stamping, Amy. It never occurred to me to use it side to side. I've only seen it done for water reflections. I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't post videos.
