I wanted to pop on here and fill you in on why I've been "gone" from my blog over the past week or so.
First, I work as a nurse and this past week I had a scary "threat" against me in particular. I can't
go into it anymore than that but it resulted in having security with me when I was at work.
I believe this "threat" period is over and can get back to my real life.
Second, I had a patient this past week get very ill and pass away.....he was MY age.
This kinda hit home for me and I didn't take it particularly well at all.
Third, I recently have been undergoing the testing for having LASIK done and
my procedure was yesterday and I can now see without glasses/contacts!
It's wonderful.....but I still have a ways to go as I have some existing chronic eye issues to
continue to work on. This will take some time and possibly will have to deal with
for the rest of my life. I hope that my life will be more normal this next week as
we all head into the holiday season.
Now, onto the reason for this non-card blog entry!
A fellow DT member, Jenny, from Wilson Designs is having one heck of a
You must go check it out and spread the word!

wow, you've really had a lot going on. glad your lasik was a success. i've worn glasses since first grade and have been considering this lately myself. i've been too much of a chicken...maybe one day:)
Yikes! You HAVE had a ton going on. I do hope everything is okay now. Congrats on the LASIK!
I have a few good friends who are nurses and can appreciate your issues with your patients...
Glad to hear the Lasik went well. that is something I have on my "wish list"! I'd love to wake up in the morning and be able to see clearly! Enjoy it for me :)
Here's hoping things are brighter (and clearer!) for you now. Hugs.
Sorry to hear you've had a lot of extra stress at work recently! I hope things will be back to normal soon.
Congrats on your LASIK surgery!
Oh Amy...I hope this coming week is much less eventful for you and that things can get back to normal. So glad the lasik surgery went well...I had it done a few years ago and love it! Thinking of you!
Amy, I am so sorry to hear about your threats - my mom and sisters are all nurses and I hear stories all the time about what can happen. It is so sad and shocking when someone our age passes away; there is no rhyme or reason for it. I hope this holiday brings you lots of peace and relaxation.
So glad things are going well! I miss ya! Seems like months since we have talked! Call me when you have time!
Wow Amy! Stay safe!! Enjoy your 'new' eyes! :0)!
Amy, I truly hope the threat against you is over and you are safe. Sorry to hear you've been going through some *yucky* stuff. Hope all is well and looking up now:)
Oh goodness Amy...I do hope you are safe now and that all is over and done with. My mom is a nurse and some of the stories she shares are just heartbreaking. Enjoy some R&R this weekend and spend some happy time getting inky!
