Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

That is all I can say right now....it is just ridiculously frigid outside!!  I was going to get my Christmas gifts/cards posted today but with this continued weather, I thought that I would post something cheery and warm instead!  So, my Christmas projects will have to wait!

This card is a favorite of mine!  Who doesn't love buttons??  Oh, and those colors?  We start off here by stamping the flower stems in Ripe Avacado ink and picking out buttons for the flowers.  Don't you love that continuous border around the main image?  That is just the coolest border/corner punch that I've used yet.  It actually looks like a mini Apron Lace....so can you guess what company made it?  FISKARS!  I went with some very good friends back in October to CKC in KC.  We had a blast and the one thing that I came away with was how to use these punches!  They had demonstrations on these punches.  So, when we weent to JoAnn's, I had to use my coupon to buy this one!!  Next, I layered my flower image on the bordered paper and sewed my buttons to both.  The background was made by layering several stamped strips of Polka Dot Basics II onto a panel of Lemon Tart Bitty Box paper.
Here is another closer look:

The main image is off the paper using a Pop dot. The sentiment is stamped just below the panel.
I did want to mention that I did use Tea Dye Duo to darken the edge of the white panel just a bit.
Don't you just love this?

{Button Flower card}  All supplies PTI unless stated.

Oh, that is pretty! :) Love your button bits card. And I like the punch you used. I've tried one of those around the card punches, but just can't get the hang of it yet, but it looks great on your layout.

So cute! It's frigid here too, so this was a nice bit of spring to see after the snow yesterday.

LOVE the punching. Someday, I'll figure that out, LOL~

I really LOVE this card! I think I have that border punch but I've only used it for borders, never for punching all the way around. How did you do that?!
