If you want to shop, remember this link:  SugarPea Designs.

Today I am sharing a project using Beautiful Books and Open Book SugarCut.  This is a beautifully designed set with a book theme.

The background was stamped using four foliage images from Beautiful Books stamped in a coordinating ink to match the cardstock but a shade darker.  The panel was die cut using the Card Front Element Builder II.

Beautiful Books1

A variety of florals were die cut from Open Books SugarCut along with the "book" and its pages.  After assembling, the images were adhered with liquid glue as this makes it easier to arrange the florals.  A pair of glasses were stamped in dark gray ink and die cut.  As a finishing touch, a supporting sentiment (from Beautiful Books) was stamped onto the banner die from Card Front Element Builder II.

Erin Lee Creative / August Release / Blog Hop

Boho Rainbow2

Hello!
I am happy to be a part of the new release Blog Hop for Erin Lee Creative!  Erin has come up with a fabulous release......look at all the new products that have just been released!  Being from Kansas, some of these just call to me!

I had fun playing with the Boho Rainbow stamps in these fun colors!  Boho has become quite the trend in home decor.  My daughter has embraced it well!  ☺

I used a variety of companies inks for my color palette here......some Stampin' Up and Altenew.  The rainbows were stamped across a panel and then trimmed down.  For a bit of dimension, the sentiment was white heat embossed onto Navy cardstock and added with foam adhesive.  A few gold gems were added to continue the "boho" feel.

When I think of Kansas, I think of Sunflowers and Wheat.  The rolling wheat fields are truly beautiful.

No place

This amazing wheat border stamp is from No Place Like Home......fitting, right?  The wheat was stamped at the bottom of a Broken China ink blended panel that clouds were stenciled in using one of the stencils from the Somewhere Kit.  To keep this simple, a black sentiment strip with a white heat embossed sentiment was added to ground the wheat image.

Reverse Confetti / Hugs Enclosed

Hello!
I am here today with some HAPPY MAIL!
There's nothing better than a bright colorful card in the mailbox......am I right?  ☺

Colorful die cut circles in fun Reverse Confetti colors of cardstock (Salsa, Tangerine, Buttercup, Lime Green, Aqua, and Grape Soda) were stamped in black ink with the dotted stamp from Background Builder.  This is my favorite stamp in this set!  The circles were arranged vertically down a white note card with three black 1/4" strips of Midnight card stock running horizontal.  This allows for great sentiment stamping!

Six envelopes from Snail Mail were stamped and die cut.  Coordinating Copic markers were used to color the heart on each of the envelopes.  Each envelope was outlined with N0 Copic marker for depth.  Each one was added to the colorful circles with foam adhesive.

SugarPea Designs / Sending Smiles

Hi everyone!
Sometimes you just need to send a smile in the mail.......to cheer that friend up!
I wanted to share a rainbow card using the Concentric Circles Stencil.

***SHOP for all your SugarPea Designs HERE!***

The stencil was placed over a white panel securing with Post-It Tape.  There are 24 sections so I chose 12 different Distress Ink colors for my rainbow.  Using post it notes (they were the perfect length and size), each section was masked off and ink blended with various Distress Inks.  Each color was repeated twice to complete the circle.

Distress Ink Colors:
Spun Sugar
Worn Lipstick
Festive Berries
Dried Marigold
Spiced Marigold
Squeezed Lemonade
Mustard Seed
Shabby Shutters
Peeled Paint
Peacock Feathers
Mermaid Lagoon
Wilted Violet

This panel was trimmed down and added with foam adhesive to a Stone color cardstock.  To keep the focus on the rainbow circle, I added two black white heat embossed sentiments from Everyday Sentiments.  They were added with foam adhesive centered over the center circle.

Spellbinders / Sparkling Christmas Collection

NOEL Hello!
Have you seen the newest collection from Spellbinders?  It's called Sparkling Christmast Collection.
I have officially made my first holiday card of the season!  I have been sitting on these cards since I received the products back in June!

Spellbinders

I fell in love with the Festive Noel Etched Dies.
I began by layering strips of colored card stock in a non-traditional color scheme (I love doing this!).  From this panel, the NOEL was die cut and layered onto the white "backer" die.

NOEL2

The rest of the embellishing came next adding in all the little details with the additional dies included.  I love paper piecing so this was fun!  This whole focal point was added to a Stone card stock that was paper pierced at the top and bottom.  This color gives plenty of room to let the white focal point a way to shine!  I didn't mention but almost every layer of this design was done with multiple layers of card stock for dimension but still allowing it to be "flat" for mailing.

Layering dies have so much versatility.  The Kaleidoscope Plaid Etched Dies are no exception however they are smaller in size but have three layers!

Snowflake

For my card, I kept it simple by lightly ink blending Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink over a white note card.  After adhering together just two of the layers of the plaid (four times), the four panels were adhered to the ink blended background touching each other for a seamless look.  This panel was spritzed with Sheer Spray for a subtle but impactful glittery background.  To finish, I added a die cut square and adhered a (retired Spellbinders) snowflake die done in silver glitter cardstock.  No sentiment?  This will be perfect to send a wintery message to a friend!

Reverse Confetti / August Blog Hop

More love

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti August Blog Hop!

Make sure to check out the Reverse Confetti blog for all the details of this hop and for a full list of inspiration and information with this Mini Release!

I used the word LOVE stamp to stamp an entire panel of card stock in Reverse Confetti colors of ink:  Rose, Tangerine, Bumblebee, Grass, Lagoon, Grape Soda.  This was super easy and didn't take long at all.....just make sure you clean the stamp good in between colors!  The panel was trimmed down to fit behind one of the Stitched Squares Confetti Cuts done in Midnight card stock.

For the center of my focal point, one of the larger sentiments was stamped and die cut using a standard circle die.  Both the frame and the circle were added with foam adhesive over an impressed note card using the Oh My Heart Cover Panel Confetti Cuts.

Reverse Confetti / August Mini Release

LOVE3

Hello!
Reverse Confetti has a special mini release for you today featuring the You Matter stamp set and matching You Matter Confetti Cut.

I love a clean and simple card.
I used the LOVE word die from You Matter Confetti Cuts.  Strips were die cut out of white and then backed with colored card stock in Piggy Bank, Rose, Tangerine, Buttercup, and Iced Aqua.  These panels were trimmed and layered over a note card that was impressed with the Diagonal Stitches Cover Panel.

YOU matter to me.

I colored the various hands in Copic colors recommended by my friend Dana Joy.  She has a terrific photo HERE with skin tone colors already chosen!  The stitched circle was impressed into the card stock.  The circle of hands has a detailed center die cut along with the circle die!  The circle of hands was mounted with foam adhesive and 4 stacked hearts were added to the center.  A simple sentiment done in bold black ink was stamped below.
