Hero Arts / Season of Wonder Release Blog Hop

Warm Winter Wishes

Welcome to the Hero Arts Season of Wonder Release Blog Hop!  I am so happy to be sharing alongside this amazing list of friends.  You should have arrived from Amy Tsuruta's blog but if not, I have the entire hop list at the bottom.

You can find all the new Hero Arts holiday products HERE. It's time to shop!

I have two very different cards to share for the Season of Wonder Hero Arts Winter Catalog hop.  The catalog is just amazing.  Hero Arts has created a beauty!

My first card uses the AMAZING Blue Glimmer Metallic Ink.  I watercolored my own striped background and set aside to dry.  For my focal point, I've used the snowman and trees from Holiday Cheer.  I love the graphic look to this set!  I created my snow "hill' out of a white die cut circle and tucked my trees and snowman in the scene with some of the elements with foam adhesive.

Poinsettia

My second card uses the Color Layering Poinsettia Bundle.  Hero Arts has done everything for you with this set......all the inks to help you do beautiful color layers for this poinsettia.

The poinsettias were added to a panel of red cardstock that has a layer of polka dot vellum.  I gold heat embossed the centers of the poinsettias and carried that through with my die cut sentiment, Wishes Stamp and Cut, and some gold gems.

SugarPea Designs / Sneak Peek Day 3

Darling Dragons2

Hello!!
Welcome back to more inspiration for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets and matching dies.......there's something you are sure to love!

I hope you'll join me here over the next 5 days as I share Sweet Peeks for the all the NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, August 24th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

I've used Darling Dragons along with the Hocus Pocus SugarCut to create my spooky scene. Darling Dragons has 5 different dragon images in the set.  I ink blended Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks over some Bristol Smooth Watercolor paper for easy blending and added some white pigment ink splatters.  I added my dragon image with foam adhesive atop my ink blended panel where the bubbles were die cut and purple glittery paper was layered behind.  I added a few stars and die cut moon to finish.

Avery Elle / Grateful

Hello!  I am sharing a fall inspired card even though I'm not ready for summer to be over!  I'm using the new Grateful stamps and Elle-ments from Avery Elle.

Grateful

I created a loosely colored fall wreath out of the Wonky Circles Frames Elle-ments.  I watercolored the "wreath" by mixing Cherry and Celery watercolors until they turned brown.  I I loosely colored the leaves from this set as well.  I did 2 layers of watercolor for some depth.  Cherry, Fizz, and Celery watercolors were all I used!

Grateful2

To create the background, I adhered 1/2 inch strips of white cardstock across my top folding notecard.  I added the wreath wtih liquid glue.  For the sentiment, I stamped and die cut (several times and stacked them) the thankful word along with a small sentiment strip.  To finish, I added some sparkling clear sequins.

Seeing Stars

Today we are sharing projects using Seeing Stars and the Stacked Stars SugarCut.  I went very CAS with this card.  What is awesome about this set is the the image is larger than the die so stamping these is a breeze!  I simply stacked up a row of rainbow polka dot stars and added score lines above and below with a simple birthday sentiment.

************************************

I am using the set To Inifinity and Beyond as well as the Star Dust SugarCut.

I did some Distress Ink blending for my background using Black Soot, Seedless Preserves, and Salty Ocean.  To make it appear like stars, I splattered water droplets and white pigment ink.  I Copic colored and die cut my images.  I added them with foam adhesive except to the rocket, I added it with an action wobbler!  It's so cool!!!  To finish, I added my sentiment with white heat embossing.

Hello Bluebird / Ghostly Greetings and Autumn Gatherings

Ghostly Greetings

Hello!  I am here to share some fun and adorable new stuff that is available now from Hello Bluebird.  Release day was yesterday but we are starting our showcase days to share even more inspiration from the new release!

My first card uses Ghostly Greetings and those adorable smiling candy corn images!  I created a watercolor wash for my background using Carved Pumpkin and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks allowing each layer to dry.  I splattered some of the ink over the background too.

The great thing about this set is that there isn't much coloring needed!  A quick color to my candy corn using Copics is all they needed.  I did outline my ghost and banner greeting with C1 Copic.  After my images were adhered to my panel, I stamped tiny star clusters in black ink and added some die cut stars.

My second card uses Autumn Gatherings and all it's itty bitty little images.  I created a mini card using the new Gallery Frame Die #3 and some die cut birch trees from the Birch Tree Dies.

Autumn Gatherings

I lightly ombre ink blended Dried Marigold Distress Ink over a panel of Bristol Smooth watercolor paper (because it blends SO well on this paper).  I added my frame, birch trees, and stamped my sentiment.  I added my Copic colored squirrel and its PSL in a to go cup!  What's so fun is that the dies for these animals cut out the hands so they can hold these cute little images!  To finish, I added some colored and die cut fall leaves.
