Countdown to Confetti: Dream in Color and Peacock Pretties

Welcome to Day 2 of sneak peeks for Reverse Confetti!  Today we are sharing 2 more sets releasing this month:  Dream in Color and Peacock Pretties.  Dream in Color will become a part of the Reverse Confetti:  Key Words Collection.  So stay tuned to later releases for more on this.  :)

I've combined both these new sets for my card today.  Using my favorite technique, emboss resist, I've made my own stamped colored panel using Distress Inks.

I went for a non-traditional color scheme but using trendy nautical stripes!  Do you see the light beams?  It's the fishy bubble stamp from this set!  Love to find other uses for stamps!

Timeless Twine May Challenge: Mother's Day

I hope you all are having a wonderful start to your weekend!  When this post goes live, I will be sitting through my 2nd baseball/softball game of the day!  Love this time of the year but I just wish that the weather would cooperate!  Ahhh......Kansas!

I have a card to share today for the May challenge over on Twineology!  I've used some fabulous Raspberry Pink Timeless Twine by Bella Creationz.  Our challenge theme is:  Mother's Day.  I paired my twine up with a sweet "mom" die from Lil' Inker Designs that was just released.

I die cut my "mom" die from chipboard and stamped it lightly with the Envelope Pattern stamp from Hero Arts for just a little added texture.  I saved the heart and used that to layer my twine on and then placed my die cut word over the top with foam adhesive!

Have you seen the new MME Kate & Co. papers yet??  The one I've used is called Cambridge Court .  I've used it for several cards already....it's just beautiful!!

This challenge does have a PRIZE up for grabs.......go check it out over on the Twineology blog and link up your twine project!
And if that isn't enough, Timeless Twine is having a SALE for Mother's Day.....May 1st-12th.  All spools are 30% off!!!  Check it out HERE.

I'm on the Confetti Crew!!!

I have been keeping a secret for a LONG time and I'm so excited to finally share!!  A couple of months ago, I received a Facebook message from my friend Jen del Muro inviting me, ME, to be on her DT for her new stamp company, Reverse Confetti.  I have long admired Jen for her style and have had the opportunity to be on several DT's with her.  So when she asked me about this, I knew it would be a "yes" and that her designs would be fabulous!

I can't wait to show you Jen's designs in action on my blog and this gets started SOON!  The first release is May 8th and it kicks off with sneak peeks on May 5th.  You can read more about Jen and the other Confetti Crew members HERE as we still have one day left of introductions!  Jen has lined up some *awesome* talent for her team!!  You can read about a little "interview" we all had with Jen on the blog too!

Check out the Reverse Confetti Facebook page.......HERE.
Thanks for letting me share my news today!!!!

Avery Elle May Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Avery Elle May Release Blog Hop!  I'm so excited to be joining this fabulous group of designers on the team for the month!  My card was chosen last month in their monthly card challenge to be the Guest Designer for May.  You can see my card HERE.  Thank you Jamie for letting me join in this month with your team!

I am sharing a card made using one of the newest sets to hit the Avery Elle store.....Cupcakes!  I used the images to do some simple paper piecing using some awesome new paper from MME:  Cambridge Court.  I am a pink girl at heart and this collection just speaks to me!  Love the muted pinks and aquas!

 Cupcake #1

TIP:  I wanted to share that I originally used a pink tipped Dritz stick pin but it just didn't look right.  So I cut off the tip and added my own tip using one of the enamel dots from the matching collection!  I think it gave my card a more finished look.

Now, are you ready to continue with the blog hop?  Here is the list:

To celebrate our May Release Blog Hop, Avery Elle is giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to one winner. You have until midnight Sunday, May 5th to enter. The winner will be announced on the Avery Elle Blog on Monday, May 6th . All products are now available for purchase in the Avery Elle store.

Happy Birthday!

I know I keep you informed with my weather updates here on the blog but come on SERIOUSLY......SNOW on May 2?  Yep!  That's the forecast.....it stinks and as some have lovingly tagged it.....Sprinter.  Well, I don't like it and it can go away!!!  :)

If you visited the Fresh Squeezed Stamps Blog yesterday, you would have seen this card but I just had to share it here too!  I've used the soda straw from the stamp set.....Soda-lighted. I've stamped it on the angle and then colored in just the tiny stripes with Copics: Y35, RV25, BG13. Next up, stamping my sentiment across the panel, trimming it down and adding in some enamel dots........all done!  I am LOVING these enamel dots lately.......anyone else?  :)

happy birthday

If you visit my blog, then you may know that in the past I don't do "tilted" but it's really growing on me now! I guess I just needed to get out of my comfort zone!!  You can check out my "tilted" PTI Blog Hop card HERE that was featured in the PTI newsletter yesterday! How fun!
