I had fun creating this card using new and old! I used the new Spooky Word Die Large and die cut 3 times out of black cardstock which were then layered together for some faux chipboard. I added 2 googly eyes to the word.....these fit perfectly! My Spooky word was layered over strips of colored cardstock in the colors of candy corn. I added a Spooky Tree Die along with some Stitched Ghosts that had eyes hand drawn onto them.

I used a previously stamped Cozy Plaid background that was done on an olive cardstock. To a standard circle, I darkened the edges with Fossilized Amber Distress Ink with my blending brush and added a stamped sentiment from Boo & Faces 2 Stamps. To add that sparkle, I die cut the new Spooky Script Word Die and the bat from Bats & Broomsticks Dies out of black fine glitter cardstock.

Lil' Inker Designs / Cover Up Die: Butterfly

A while back this amazing die from Lil' Inker Designs was released.

Cover Up Die: Butterfly.

I made a card with it and used the actual die cut leaving the negative for a later project. Well, this negative was saved using Press 'n Seal wrap so making this card was so easy!!

I did a watercolor wash of Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks onto Tim Holtz watercolor paper. I added dots of glue to the back of the negative butterfly die cut and adhered over the watercolor panel. The panel was trimmed down and a spritz of Shimmer Spray applied. This makes it absolutely gorgeous in real life but hard to capture in a photo. A simple strip with a fun sentiment was added with foam adhesive.

There is an adorable new set where you can build your own house called Build a Home. My images were Copic colored adding shading and white pigment pen accents to the images. My images were adhered to a white notecard that was ink blended with Salty Ocean Distress Ink. The 'home' sentiment was die cut and then stamped with a coordinating sentiment from House and Home.

For all you tea drinkers out there, Lil' Inker Designs has released a new set just for you! Time for Tea has a ton of design possibilities. I was inspired by some Corelle dishes that we used to use when I was a kid. (see photo below)

I designed my cup with the vine stamp in navy ink. I added some distress ink to the inside of the cup as well as the teabag label. Although hard to see, I also added some of the brown distressing behind the tea cup. I carried the vine design to the top and bottom of a white panel and layered it with matching navy cardstock.

I love using Cover Plates to add interest to an otherwise white background. Well, Lil' Inker Designs has a new one called Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones Die.

This card started out ENTIRELY different and I actually tore it all apart and created this one! I just couldn't leave it the way it was! I love this version 100 x better! This one uses simple side cut strips for the sentiments and the adorable Ele and Lion with some balloons (from Cake Party) all popped up with foam adhesive.

The look of hand drawn lettering is so trendy. Hand Drawn Thankfulness releasing tonight is amazing!

I stamped the sentiment on a Dual Stitched Rectangle in black ink and matted it with a black layer. I added some posies from Perky Posies XL Dies in pastel colors. This was all layered over a white on white panel that was die cut using the Cover Up Diagonal Plaid Die.

I have one last card to share using the Think Happy Thoughts Tropical.

I white heat embossed the solid leaf images randomly and then ink blended Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Inks over the top using the Emboss Resist technique. Once done, I wiped the panel with a dry paper towel to really make the images pop. A simple stamped sentiment in black on a strip of kraft cardstock was added across the card. To finish, I had to add a fun tropical drink in a coconut shell!!

Oh my, are today's cards juicy and fun! haha! The Pineapple Shaker Die Set is so much fun! I haven't even scratched the surface of ideas for this set!

Creating a clean and simple card is so easy with this set. For my first card, the pineapple was die cut from cardstock and pieced together. I love that the die set comes with the pineapple detail piece for the body. Makes it so realistic! I went a step further and added yellow gems to all the "holes" in the pineapple.

I adhered my pineapple to a note card that was die cut using the Quilted Stitched Pattern Die (my FAVORITE cover up die!!!). My sentiment is from the new Hawaiian Words Die Set. It was die cut out of black cardstock and the outline was die cut out of white cardstock. It was adhered to the center of my pineapple with a small bit of foam adhesive to the center so it would curve a bit downward.

For my second card, I went with a striped note card done with 1/4 inch strips of white and green cardstock. I added a vertical (which is a fun twist) sentiment (from a New sentiment set that coordinates is called Be Sweet Stamps) stamped onto a trimmed banner.

The pineapple itself was die cut and pieced together as in the first card. I added a twine bow and a few yellow gems for some shine!
