Welcome friends!
What an honor to be amongst the many, many talented friends in this blog hop today to say "Thank You" to Paper Crafts Magazine. You should have arrived here from my fellow Gallery Idol friend, Dana Warren.
My memories are somewhat newer than some in this hop but I can't help but share the photo that made my papercrafting year........Paper Crafts Gallery Idol 2012. Forever changed my world! That contest challenged me in so many ways and my closest friends will know this but creating under pressure is what fuels me!
This past January I was able to attend my first CHA......and I got to meet Susan Opel and the gals of Paper Crafts! It was so fun to finally meet the ladies I've emailed and messaged over the years! Exactly as sweet in person as in the messages. :)
One last memory.......my WCMD 2013 card that made the COVER of the March 2014 issue! I will never forget that email from Susan!! I'm not the kind to get too sappy but I will miss Paper Crafts Magazine.......the actual publication in my hands. I used to love getting the copy in the mail and I would pour over the issue......the photos, the supply lists, the tutorials. Who else is with me on this one? {sniff sniff}
When I was rooting (literally) through my stamps to find the perfect sentiment, I came across the sentiment "Forever Grateful" from the Sketched Floral stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs. Lucky me, the fabulous floral outline stamps were in this set too. I decided to white heat emboss the florals and watercolor with Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean).
The tag is actually the Folding Tag Die-Original with the "flap" trimmed off. This is what I layered my florals, sentiment, and Sparkling Clear sequins (Pretty Pink Posh) onto. For that fabulous stitched background, I used the Quilted Stitched Pattern die.
Thank you SO much Paper Crafts for everything you've given me over the past few years!!!
You're next stop is a very sweet friend Wanda Guess.

Such a pretty card and a wonderful tribute! So glad for PC&s and all the friendships we've made :)
Really lovely tribute to PC&S, Amy. Your card is the perfect way to say "thanks" too. Still can't believe they'll be gone... It's been fun over the years to see all the creations, and glance down at the designers and think, "I 'know' her." What a great connector PC&S has been. Your card pays homage to that perfectly. Bev
