Queen & Co. / Floral Embellishments

Hello!  If you didn't know, Queen & Co. just released lots of NEW embellishments!  Flowers, baubles, epoxy dots......the list goes on.  You are sure to find the right embellishment for your card or project over at the Queen & Co. store!

My first card uses the Tulle Blossoms paired with the new Halos.

Tulle

To start I die cut the Lines Die from the Designer Die Collection (this is used for their shaker cards) out of white cardstock and layered it over gray polka dot paper from Flirty Florals paper pad.  I stamped the 'Happy Birthday' (from the Birthday Bash stamp set) with black ink onto one of the stripes of the die.  I added the iridescent Halos to the centers of 3 Tulle Blossoms with a hot glue gun (yes, I said hot glue gun!) and then adhered them to my card.  To finish, I added some white Epoxy Dots and did a dusting of Shimmer Spritz over the whole card.

My second card uses flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet Pastels.

Thanks

To start, I added a decorative edge border panel over pink gingham paper from Flirty Florals.  I added an assortment of flowers in pink, white, and black/white gingham.  I paired this with a layered 'thanks' die cut sentiment.  I finished this with a dusting of Shimmer Spritz over the whole card.

Avery Elle / Hummingbird

Hummingbird

Hi everyone!
I'm here today sharing a card using the new beautiful Hummingbird stamp set from Avery Elle.

Avery Elle

I started by heat embossing my main elements using Avery Elle Gold Embossing Powder onto Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper.  Using the Avery Elle Liquid Watercolors, I watered them down and using a waterbrush, I watercolored the images using several layers in some areas.

Hummingbird2

I added my images to a panel of cardstock that was cut with the Hatch Mat Elle-ments.  This die leaves the perfect spaces to stamp your sentiment!  I love the angle look!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello Bluebird / More May Release!

Happy Monday!  I have a bit more inspiration from the new Hello Bluebird release as well as the card I shared last week.

Wildflower Bouquet

If you know me at all, then you know I love floral stamps!  Wildflower Bouquet is going to fast become a favorite once my dies arrive!  But in the meantime, I love to stamp my own background paper.  I stamped a panel using a few images from this set in a color palette of purple, yellow, and pink.  Add a decorate border to the bottom and adhere panel.  Sentiment is from Rainbow Script.

Technique Tuesday / My Sweet Petunia Blog Hop

Beautiful6

Welcome!  I am excited to participate in the collaboration blog hop between Technique Tuesday and My Sweet Petunia!  We are all sharing projects using these products.  Stay tuned as there are prizes up for grabs!

******Please excuse the wonky colors in my photo.  We are in the process of getting new flooring and my house is a MESS!  I've had to take photos in a different location for now BUT a new craft room comes SOON!!  Be sure to follow as I will be posting pictures of my before and after once it's all done!******

I used the Enjoy Flower Layered Stamp Set from Technique Tuesday because of it's layering possibilities.  The Misti Stamping Tool is perfect for a stamp set like this!  I have lots of photos to share so let's get started.

Beautiful1

I started off with a panel of cardstock and stamped the solid image in a bright yellow ink (all inks from Altenew unless specified).  Using my Misti, I added the shading layer with a darker color of the same shade of ink.  The Misti makes for perfect even stamping especially when you need to add more color as I did here with my shading layer.  One layer was too light so I was easily able to restamp to make darker using my Misti!

Beautiful2

Next, I've added the centers with brown ink and then black dots for the centers.  These flower just come alive with the layers!

Beautiful3

Now, this panel is really pretty the way it is but let's take it up another notch!  Using the OUTLINE stamp, stamp it using black ink (I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne) for a bold effect.  I show how here how the flowers each look before I filled in the rest of the panel.

Beautiful4

Once the panel was all stamped, the panel was trimmed down and added to the same yellow color cardstock (Sunshine from MFT) which was then added to a top folding white notecard.  To finish, the sentiment (from Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set) was stamped onto a white strip and the 'Beautiful' diecut was added below.  The sentiment strip was hand trimmed into a banner end and adhered with foam adhesive.  Here is the finished card!

I can't stop coloring these adorable images from Ooh La La from the latest release!  Here I've colored the mac 'n cheese image with Copics and die cut using the coordinating Ooh La La SugarCut.  I assembled my card using die cuts from the Postage Stamp SugarCut and the ParisScape SugarCut!  The beauty of these landscape dies is that you can trim them down to be used on a vertical card.  My panel was layered onto a orange striped panel from the Spots & Dots Brights paper pad.

SugarPea Designs / Unless You're Wine

Hello!  I'm here to share a fun card for an adult who loves wine (and to wish them a punny birthday)!  Ooh La La is such a fun set!

To create my card, I started with my background.  Using Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink, I applied the ink to my background via the smooshing technique and a few extra splatters.  Once dry, this panel was die cut using the SugarCut Postage Stamp along with the larger postage stamp die cut in white.

This smiling wine bottle image, from Ooh La La,  was colored with Copics and die cut using the coordinating Ooh La La SugarCut.  After diecutting the stitched heart from Postage Stamp SugarCut, a few stars from Chic Wishes was stamped using Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink.

To finish this, I white heat embossed a sentiment onto a black strip and added it behind my wine bottle image to ground it.

Hello Bluebird / May Preview Week

Just Sayin'3

Hello!  I'm so excited to announce that Hello Bluebird will have a new release of stamps and dies tomorrow May 17th!

I have a card to share using the new Just Sayin' stamp set.  I've paired this adorable sign holding piggy with some of the elements from a previously released set Springtime.  I Copic colored my piggy with R01, R20, R21 and the sign highlights with BG10.  I fussy cut my image and set aside.  Next, I went to work on building my scene.  Using the Country Gingham Background, I masked off the frame of a rectangle, stamped the gingham for my "sky", and removed the mask.  The sun, grass, and "cloud" are also from Springtime.  The cloud is actually a balloon that I snipped the string off of!  The images were adhered to create my scene.  To finish the card, I die cut the stitched frame from Gallery Frame Die #1 in a light blue cardstock and adhered it with foam adhesive.

Technique Tuesday / Hello Friend

Hello Friend2

Hello!  I have a quick card to share using some floral stamps from Technique Tuesday.

Using the Flowers for Her stamp set, I white heat embossed the blooms and leaves.  Using the emboss resist technique, I blended Distress Oxide inks over the tops of my images.  After hand trimming the images, I spritzed the images with water.  The blooms and leaves were allowed to dry and then adhered onto a panel of light yellow gingham pattern paper.  A simple 'hello friend' sentiment stamped in black ink and a few gems finish the card.
