One-of-a-Kind

CAS(E) this Sketch!

Hello!  I am sharing a card inspired by the current challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch!  As soon as I saw it, I loved the simple layout!  This sketch could be used for so many images.

One of my fellow Reverse Confetti crew members (Leigh Penner), used stars for her layout so I went with butterflies from Butterfly Dreams and coordinating Butterfly Dreams Confetti Cuts.  I used Hero Arts Mint to Green Ombre ink for my focal point butterfly and also for all the scattered butterflies around it.  The ink dried so pretty!  I layered some silver thread behind my large focal butterfly and added in some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Avery Elle Summer Release Blog Hop!

Hot Chick

Hello!  Welcome to the Summer Release Blog Hop for Avery Elle!  Have you been following the Avery Elle blog this week?  There have been peeks of all the new sets that are available NOW!

There are several new mini sets releasing with the Summer Release.  Up first, I'm sharing a set that is just hilarious and cute called .......Hot Chick.   I've used each stamp included in the set.  The chick was Copic colored and die cut with the coordinating Hot Chick Elle-ments.  To frame my image, I used the Pierced Circles Elle-ments on the base of the notecard.  I love that these just "pierce".  I also diecut a standard circle and used the pierced circles to add interest to it.  My Chick was added to my die cut circle with foam adhesive.  I added a piece of yellow gingham paper, from The Everyday Collection, under my pierced circle.  To stamp my sentiments, I used the circle outline as a guide!  So easy to do with clear stamps!

My second card features another mini set called I'm Late.  I started with adding a piece of pattern paper from The Jewel Collection and stamping the large 'Celebrate' sentiment from Big Greetings onto the bottom of a top folding notecard.  I've Copic colored my snail image, die cut with the coordinating I'm Late Elle-ments, and was added with foam adhesive to the top of my sentiment.  As a final touch, I stamped the smaller stars from Big Greetings in rainbow colors around my snail.

Right at Home Stamped & Sealed Craft Box!

RAH Blog

Welcome!  Have you heard about the new Stamped & Sealed Craft Box from Right at Home Stamps?  It's a party in a box this month as the theme is:  Let's Party!
I wanted to create a shaker card with this kit's contents.........I went to work creating my shaker pocket using my FUSE tool because I wanted a relatively flat card that is mail-able.  I created a window using some standard circle dies with some of the pattern paper from Simple Stories "Let's Party".  I love the look of this paper with the confetti falling so what better to add than a shaker using some of the sequins from the Let's Party Craft Box!  My sentiment is from the new stamp set called Sweet Birthday.......I just love the scripty font!  I stamped and colored the birthday cake with Copic markers and trimmed out by hand.  Before adhering with foam adhesive, I coated the "cake" with glittery shimmer using the Wink of Stella Clear that is included in this kit!

Celebrate

Sentimental

Hello!  I am so longing for some warm(er) weather!  It's the middle of May in KANSAS and we are wearing sweatshirts and having to use our blankets to sleep!  Come on mother nature......just a little bit warmer and I'd be a happy camper!
Avery Elle

Anyway......I was channeling Spring/Summer with this card that's up on the Avery Elle Blog today.  Bright yellow gingham with a sweet sentiment diecut from the die set Sentimental with the tiny addition of "your day" from the Sentimental stamp set.  A Copic colored bird from Woodland Wonders was added with foam adhesive.  The sentiment and bird were layered over some Pierced Clouds Ellements.  Some Midnight Hemp Twine was tied to the top of the notecard.

Right at Home Stamped & Sealed Reveal!!

Stamped & Sealed

Hello!  Welcome to release day for Right at Home and this month is special because we reveal the very first Stamped & Sealed Craft Box!
I wanted to create a quick and easy card to share to show just how easy it is to create with the Stamped & Sealed Craft Box.  I started with a piece of pattern paper from Simple Stories "Let's Party" (I used the straight stitching die from Stitched Borders 2 from Pretty Pink Posh down the sides for interest)  and layered it onto a white, top-folding notecard.  I then used a bold and fabulous pattern and overlayed some vellum to "tone" down the pattern.  To this I attached some Copic colored balloons that are from the new exclusive set called Sweet Birthday.  After adding some white enamel dots to my card, I finished it by adding some Wink of Stella to the balloons!

SFYTT

Hello!  I am here sharing a card using the current SFYTT (Sketch For You to Try) over at the Reverse Confetti blog.  Check out the SFYTT post......HERE for all the details!

Reverse Confetti

I've used the adorable (and must have) Candles 'n Confetti stamps and coordinating Candles 'n Confetti dies.  I followed the sketch and also used the Topped Off Tag along with the new Top O' the Tag Confetti Cuts.  To give some color to my card, I used one of the new QCP: Party Time along with a scrap from a previous set.  My sentiment, from Celebrations, was white heat embossed onto a black strip of cardstock and cut into a flag.

Newspaper Spotlight and a SALE!

Spring Sale

Hello!  Just stopping in today to share an amazing SPRING SALE over at Lil' Inker Designs!  16% off to be exact!!  Please visit the Lil' Inker Designs blog for all the details of this sale!

I love the look of black and white cards lately so I thought I'd show a technique I'm calling "newpaper spotlight".  The idea is go black and white with a pop of color.  I started with a black panel that was die cut with the Stitched Mats: Rectangles on the perimeter.  With a trimmed white panel of cardstock, I stamped the peas and carrots image somewhat randomly with black ink.  The middle image was highlighted with a B00 Copic thick enough that when the die cut image is placed, you see a blue shadow.  I've colored my little peas and carrots couple from Perfect Pairs with Copic markers.  The best part????  This stamp set now has matching Perfect Paires DIES! Yippee!  My peas and carrots couple was adhered with foam adhesive so that the blue shadow is seen.  My sentiment was white heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock die cut using the Stitched Mats: Long and Skinny Rectangles and was adhered just below my couple to "ground" them.  As a last little detail, I added tiny white dots as accents with my Signo Uni-ball pigment pen.

Shaker Card + Blog Hop + Prizes

May Blog Hop

Hello!  Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh New Release Blog Hop!  There were some amazing new stitched dies that were released on May 1st......did you grab any of them?  Well......today we are sharing inspiration using the newest release!  You should have arrived from DT member (and amazing) Nichol Magourik's blog.

I chose to work with the Storybook 4 Die for a card to brighten someones day!  I die cut the Storybook 4 die out of white cardstock and trimmed the edges to make a frame.  I created a shaker using the new Wisteria Blossoms sequin mix.  To embellish the frame, I stamped some clouds and the umbrella from the Rainy Days stamp set and die cut with coordinating dies.  My cute dog image, from Holiday Pals, was Copic colored and die cut.  I added some "grass" using the Stitched Border 1 Dies.  My sentiment was stamped onto one of the clouds and onto a piece of vellum that was trimmed into a banner.
