Reverse Confetti / Stock Your Stash (Thank You)

 

Hello!  I am sharing a card for the Reverse Confetti.......Stock Your Stash Challenge!

With the holidays upon us, I knew I would need some thank you's.  Yes I know, this is full spring and color.  Go figure.  My favorite times of the year have COLOR!

I started with a panel cut with the Small Diamond Tiles Cover Panel out of white cardstock and adhered it to a white notecard.  Using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, the ink was blended using the brushes I mentioned on IG and my blog the other day.  (See my post from Dec. 8)  They blend color AMAZING!  My florals are from the Banner in Bloom set and were colored with Copics.  I added my bloom with foam adhesive and some white gems.

Reverse Confetti / December Blog Hop

I recently went to Vintage Market Days and saw LOTS of fun displays of bottle brush trees.  Gave me lots of ideas for those trees I've been "collecting"!  I wanted to recreate some of those pink ombre trees I saw!

I began by ink blending with THESE BRUSHES.  They are the BOMB!  Click on the picture to shop!

Using these brushes, I ink blended Worn Lipstick Distress Ink onto a white panel of cardstock in ombre fashion and blended the same ink onto a white notecard.  From the ink blended panel, four Triangle Trees were die cut in opposite directions.  To each tree, I overstamped them with the stripes from Triangle Trees stamps and colored each line with a glitter gel pen. 

The trees were layered over a Vertical Stripes Cover Panel onto the white ink blended notecard.  A simple sentiment strip was added with foam adhesive along with some silver gems.

Technique Tuesday / Beau and Beatrice Beaver

Hello!  

I am back with another card using a set from the new release from Technique Tuesday.  Beau and Beatrice Beaver is adorable and full of punny sentiments.  

Here, I Copic colored my images and die cut.  I ink blended a Tumbled Glass Distress Ink sky and then masked off the sky and added Peeled Paint Distress Ink for the grass.  This is perfect for those pesky masculine cards as long as they aren't offended by the sentiment!  LOL

SugarPea Designs / Mix It Up Challenge #50

 

Hello!  I am here sharing a card using the December Mix it Up Challenge from SugarPea Designs over at the SugarPea Designs blog.

For this month's challenge, I used the 'anything goes' portion of the Mix It Up Challenge.  (see graphic below).

With an 'anything goes' challenge, creating a CAS card is at the top of my list.  I Copic colored one of the penguins from Eskimo Kisses and die cut.  My images were added to a panel that was embossed with these dots and a wreath opening in the center which is a perfect place for my image to land.  A simple sentiment strip grounds my image below.

Avery Elle / Peacock

I'm here sharing a cute little number for the next holiday.....Valentine's Day!  With this being one of my favorite holidays to craft for, this mini stamp set that is SO easy to color will be a quick go-to set this season.

To create my background, I used the Three Hearts Elle-ments to cut out lots of hearts.  Using these hearts, I created a faux embossed panel using die cuts!  I kept adding hearts until my card front was filled and then just trimmed off all the excess with my scissors.

To keep this clean and simple, I Copic colored my Peacock in rainbow colors (why not, right?) and die cut using the Peacock Elle-ments.  A simple white heat embossed 'Happy Valentine's Day' was done on a black cardstock strip.  A few red gems were added as a final touch!

Hello Bluebird / Frosty Flakes

Hello!  

I'm  here with a little piece of winter that arrived here in Kansas last weekend!  We literally had 60 degree weather on Saturday and then a BLIZZARD on Sunday.  It was crazy!

Any way, I thought it would translate well into this card using the newest stand alone dies......Frosty Flakes from Hello Bluebird.  To create my background, I started with a light blue cardstock panel.  To this panel, I ink blended Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Inks.  Over the top of this panel, I spritzed generously Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray: Sparkle from Imagine Crafts.  If only I could capture all the sheer glitter on this panel in my photo!  Trust me, you NEED this stuff!  :)

To capture the essence of winter, I die cut lots of Frosty Flakes from white cardstock since my background was already full of shimmer.  I arranged and adhered my flakes to the upper left side.  For a sentiment, I wanted to add a few from Skating Together and Quiet Christmas.  I arranged them with foam adhesive and added lots of sparkling clear sequins.

Technique Tuesday / New Release Reveal Day

Joyful Juniper is the newest stamp set in the Greenhouse Society collection.  I stamped a tone on tone image using a shade darker ink than the cardstock.  To add some detail to the berries, I used a few Copic markers to give look of shadows.  A simple black sentiment and some Midnight Black gems finish the panel which was layered with black cardstock for just a small black border.
