Reverse Confetti / March Blog Hop

 Today's card uses the new paper pad called Fun Times.  I think it's my favorite so far with all the gorgeous patterns and colors!  I've also Copic colored the images from Honey Bear which is another new set from Dawn Machell.  I loved creating my little scene using the papers and this stamp set!

SugarPea Designs / Mix It Up Challenge #41

Mix it Up

Welcome!  I am here sharing a card using the March Mix it Up Challenge from SugarPea Designs over at the SugarPea Designs blog.  Make sure to check out the blog for all the details!


For this month's challenge, I used the inspiration side of the Mix It Up Challenge.  (see graphic below).

What caught my eye was the beautiful rays of light in shades of purple and turquoise/green.  I created a birthday card based off this using the streamer stamp from Bring on the Cake.  My package was stamped and die cut using the Birthday Journal Card SugarCut.  A small coordinating bow was added to the top of the gift as well as a few sparkling clear confetti.  To finish, I added a stacked 'celebrate' die cut in white cardstock.

Avery Elle / "Mermazing"

Welcome!  I'm here with a "Mermazing" card using the Mermaid stamps and the NEW liquid watercolors!

I started with Aquamarine, Mint to Be and Sapphire liquid watercolors and a piece of watercolor paper.  Using the watercolors, I loosely watercolored a background and added splatters of the same colors.

I stamped and die cut all my images and then using more of the watercolors, I colored all of my die cuts.  So all the elements of the images....hair, skin, seahorse, were all colored with mixed colors of the various Avery Elle liquid watercolors!  

The main die cuts were adhered with foam adhesive and some dew drops were added.  To finish, I stamped the sentiment in Mermaid Pigment Ink on a hand trimmed banner strip.

Reverse Confetti / Countdown to Confetti Day 3

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Reverse Confetti March Release!  Reverse Confetti is releasing ..... 4 new stamp sets and 6 Confetti Cuts this month as well as the Fun Times paper pad.  This month's release has so much CUTENESS!!

I am so excited to share today's card that was certainly a labour of love!  I knew the instant I got this stamp set and cover panel in the mail that I had to do this!  The new Stitched Rays Cover Panel is just AMAZING!!  Did I say amazing??  Yes!

I masked off and blended Distress Inks in rainbow order over the rays of this panel.  Yes, it took some time but so worth it!  I die cut and stamped the sentiment from My Sunshine stamps and coordinating My Sunshine Confetti Cuts.

Reverse Confetti / Countdown to Confetti Day 2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Reverse Confetti March Release!  Reverse Confetti is releasing ..... 4 new stamp sets and 6 Confetti Cuts this month as well as the Fun Times paper pad.  This month's release has so much CUTENESS!!

Tall Blooms is a great floral set that offers many blooms that can be stamped and arranged in so many ways!  I've Copic colored the blooms in hues of purple and layered this panel over a piece of paper from the new Fun Times 6x6 paper pad.  My sentiment was white heat embossed onto a strip of Midnight Cardstock.  As a final touch, I added stitching on my focal panel with the Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts.

Reverse Confetti / Countdown to Confetti Day 1

I am a HUGE fan of the sets designed by Dawn Machell.  Well, guess what?  They are now full sized sets!  

Sealiously is one of those sets.......just beyond words cute!  I started my base panel by blending Broken China Distress Ink over the Leaf Lattice Stencil.  I added stitching to the perimeter with the Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts.  My seal image was Copic colored and adhered to a Dashed Line Tag.  I tucked the sun from Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts behind a cloud from Sealiously.

Technique Tuesday / Release Day!

Cherry Blossoms 

Wahoo!  
It's release day at Technique Tuesday!  All the fun stamps and dies I've shared the past 2 days are available TODAY!

I saved the best for last!  The Cherry Blossoms stamp set is just gorgeous.  I kept this very CAS by white heat embossing the Cherry Blossom image and watercoloring very lightly with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I used the coordinating Cherry Blossoms Crafting Dies to die cut.  I stamped the small part of the sentiment on a small banner and fishtailed the end with my scissors.  The die cut "Beautiful" was done in black cardstock and everything was mounted to a panel of pink striped paper that was die cut using the Threaded Crafting Dies to the edge.
