Taylored Expressions / Treat your Shelf Card Kit

Welcome to the first cardmaking kit of the year for Taylored Expressions!  

This kit is just fabulous with so many details in the dies.....so well thought out and fun!!  If you have a bookworm or reader in your life, then you need this kit!

I created a coordinating card and bookmark using the core products from the kit.....the stencils and dies.  Look at the cute little details on the book spines and the tiny heart detail on the lamp!  

Using Green Tea, Pink Champagne, Pineapple, Bleu Cheese, Cinnamon, and Raspberry Sorbet inks, these colors were ink blended over the stencils using the Foil It: Treat your Shelf.  The book stack was layered over a Pierced Circles Cutting Plate done in Sugar Cube Cardstock.  Sentiment comes from One for the Books sentiment set.

For the bookmark, the Bookmark Builder Die was used along with Bleu Cheese Cardstock and ink.  The layering piece on the bookmark was stamped with Up Against a Wall Background Stamp and white heat embossed with a sentiment from Treat your Shelf sentiments.

For my last project, I've used more of the elements from the stencil along with book die cuts from the Bookmark Builder Die.

Look at the details in books that are made using the dies!!!!  I've stacked them along a mini slim card in the same color palette as my first projects.  The sentiment is from One for the Books sentiment set.  I just love the cat sitting on the books!!!

Taylored Expressions / Second Chance Release

I am so excited to share about the Second Chance Release from Taylored Expressions!  

This release has all the previously released "freebies" from the past year and there are NEW products to make them even better!

Let's get started!

This set is just amazing.....Summer Days and the new Summer Days 3D Embossing Folder!  The floral images were ink blended with the stencil set using Key Lime, Cilantro, Pink Champagne, Bubblegum, Pineapple, and Sweet Corn inks.  I added the Get the Word Out - Hello sentiment along with a supporting sentiment from Mini Strips - Hello Add-ons along with some Clear Drip Drops.  Unicorn Sparkle Metallic Mist was spritzed over the entire card.

This next card uses the Rockin' Rhombus Stencil.  

Pink Champagne, Watermelon, and Plum Punch inks were blended over a panel.  Over the top, the Rockin' Rhombus Stencil was stenciled in with Plum Punch ink.  A Plum Punch Fancy Feature Frame was added along with a white Simple Stems and a sentiment from Mini Strips - Hello Add-ons.  A coordinating frame from All Planned Out 2 done in Plum Punch ties the card together.  A few Clear Drip Drops and more Unicorn Sparkle Metallic Mist finish the card.

Lastly, I have a pair of cards using the Arch Deco Background Stamp along with the Hello Friend Stamp and Die combo.

I've done one card in Tropical Punch and one in Dragon Fruit.  The Hello Friend was white heat embossed onto the coordinating colored cardstock and backed with a Stitched Frame Stacklets 3.  Love that you could make multiples of these and gift to a friend!

Taylored Expressions / Valentine's Release

It's time for a fabulous Valentine Release from Taylored Expressions!

One of my favorite products from this release is actually a new addition to the Around the Town......Love.  It includes Around Town - Love Stencil + coordinating dies, Heart shaped maps, and the Love Is In the Air sentiment set & coordinating dies to tie it all together!

I used a soft color palette of Rose Water, Confetti Cake, and Watermelon inks for all the blending.  The sentiment is from the new set called Love is in the Air.  ♥♥

My second card uses the new additions to the Sweater Weather collection for Valentines!

I used the Sweater Weather stencils and added the Valentine stamped images to the sweaters.  There are also new Dinky Decorations for the sweaters too!  Faintly in the background, you can see a tone on tone stamped background using the Fineline Script background.  Over the entire card, the Unicorn Sparkle Metallic Mist was spritzed for some shine.

The last card I have to share today features the new XOXO 3D Embossing Folder along with the SweetHeart Shaker.

To the inside of the heart shaker element, the new Bits & Pieces XOXO were added and to each scallop on the heart, I added Pink Champagne enamel dots.

Taylored Expressions / Crafty Friends Release

Hello to the last release from Taylored Expressions for 2024 and wow is it a FUN release!  Full of color and friendship!

There are tools for our "trade", splatter background, and a new artist to introduce!

The Crafty Tools of the Trade Dies are my FAVORITE from the release!  I created a rainbow of paint brushes on a black background die cut with the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Stacklets (hard to see here).  Each brush has a coordinating enamel dot.  Adding in a sentiment with an adorable font from You Color Me Happy.

My next card uses the Rotating Splatter Stencil in the colors Watermelon, Peaches 'n Cream, Honey, and Pink Champagne.  

The stenciled panel was trimmed and each side flagged with Black Licorice Cardstock.  Another sentiment from Color Me Happy and the Paint the Town paintbrush dies were added to his card over a panel of vellum.

Taylored Expressions / Cute Combos Release / Promotions!

You are in for a real treat this week as we have fabulous Cute Combos Release from Taylored Expressions!

This release is full of something for everyone.  Boots, critters, celebration, and more!  These sets come with matching dies for the images!!  I have FOUR cards to share so let's go see them!

This first card uses You're My Jam......a set with two guitars and and three sentiments.  Started with stamping the Linen Background with Sugar Cube ink onto Black Licorice Cardstock.  I created a shaker focal point using the Stitched Frame Stacklets 1 and adding in some Clay Stars Bits & Pieces.  After Copic coloring the guitar, it was die cut and added to the shaker as an accent.  A sentiment was added along with some die cut elements from Mix Tape.

My second card uses the set called Cute to Boot.  This card was started by using the Burlap Embossing Folder for a textured background.  Elements from the die set All Planned Out 1 were die cut and layered for a fun layout.  The boots were stamped onto Toffee Cardstock and die cut.  After Copic coloring, they were added to the card along with a stamped sentiment and Clay Stars Bits & Pieces.

They're baaaacccckkk!!  My third card uses the adorable Gertie and Gus: On a Roll.  The background was done using a Foil It Totally Rad panel and foiled in Silver Shimmer Fun Foil.  The panel was ink blended with the Create in Quads: Totally Rad.  Gertie and Gus were Copic colored, die cut, and added with foam adhesive along with a sentiment to finish the card.

My fourth card uses a set that will be perfect for those masculine or sympathy cards called Tranquil Tree.  The trees were stamped in Cupcake and Toffee Inks across the panel.  They were highlighted with frames from Stitched Frames Stacklets 1.  Some rolling hills were added with Fluffy Snow covered glitter using the Build a Scene: Rolling Hills.

I've used the Play on Words Layering Stencil and coordinating dies to create a card using the Just a Note sentiment.    

My color palette includes Honey, Spearmint, Jalapeno, and Pink Champagne inks.  The sentiment was die cut several times and layered for dimension.  Sentiment was layered over a panel of Spearmint cardstock that was embossed with the Bursting Dots Embossing Folder.

Taylored Expressions / Black Friday Sale!

I'm a day late but wanted to wish you happy shopping for BLACK FRIDAY over at Taylored Expressions!

I created this card using the Midnight Blooms background stamp.  The image was white heat embossed onto a Sugar Cube notecard.  The inks were ombre blended up the panel starting with Blue Corn and then Bleu Cheese.  The lightest color being Bleu Cheese with a very light hand to blend.  

The center was die cut using the A2 Layer Stacklets and then layered with a panel of Blue Corn to make the center panel stand out.  Several leaf sprigs from Garden Variety done out of vellum were tucked behind the sentiment.  The sentiment, from Modern Sentiment Labels, was silver foiled and die cut using coordinating dies and also layered with Blue Corn cardstock.  As a last detail, some Silver Glitter Drops were added.
