SugarPea Designs / Sneak Peek Day 2 / Giveaway

Today I am sharing the new set Cottontail Cuties, coordinating Cottontail Cuties SugarCut, and the new Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil.

I started with ink blending some Spun Sugar Distress Ink over a white note card using both ends of the stencil (and flipping over for more choices) to make my cloud background. For the "grass", instead of using the stencil, I pulled out the Spots & Stripes Brights paper pad. After adding in my Copic colored images, I added a white heat embossed black sentiment strip with foam adhesive.

I am sharing this amazing Piece of Cake 3D Box SugarCut today.

As soon as I received this die, I knew I wanted to embellish with rainbow stripes! To make this box, I die cut two of the larger triangle dies out of 65# cardstock (this makes it so easy to fold on the pre-scored lines) and one of the scalloped edge triangle die. Before assembling, I added rainbow cardstock stripes cut with the embellishing dies included. To assemble, I used score tape on the flaps. This is the best adhesive for assembling 3D boxes.

Once assembled, I embellished the lid with lots of stars that were die cut using the included embellishing dies. To finish, I added in some of my favorite candy to the box! Can you guess the candy?

Reverse Confetti / Hugs

Hello! Spring is definitely here and I love it!

I love coloring florals in my own style. Here I colored the large bloom from the Peony stamp set with Copics adding shading with darker yellow colors. My peony was layered over a panel that was die cut using the Diagonal Scallops Cover Panel Confetti Cuts. I removed the center pieces and lightly ink blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink over the top and inlaid the pieces back in the cover panel.

After my florals were arranged and "picked up" with Press 'n Seal, I added liquid glue to the back and arranged onto my note card. For my sentiment, I did a tiny bit of creative cutting on the Warm Hugs Confetti Cuts. Don't forget about those dies for other sentiments. This one was so easy to die cut and then just trim 'Hugs' out. To finish, a few white gems were added for some sparkle.

So in celebration of the Reverse Confetti BIRTHDAY----we are sharing Birthday inspired cards this month.

While my card could be used for a birthday, it has a more important meaning for me. My son is a graduating SENIOR and today would have been his physical last day of High School. So this card is for him! ♥♥

I started with impressing the Triangles Cover Panel onto a white cardstock panel. I added the ink blended "party" sentiment die to the bottom. The cute elephant, from Cheerful Pals, was Copic colored and added with foam adhesive atop the sentiment. To keep this masculine and not too girly, I added some star die cuts using our school colors.

Hero Arts / More Inspiration

If you missed it, Hero Arts released their May My Monthly Hero Kit and some fabulous add-on stamps and dies this week. I have a few more cards to share using the add-ons!

I love sunshine so when I saw the Sun Background Stencil, I was in LOVE! I have 2 cards to share using this stencil.

My first card was created by ink blending the yellow Distress Inks over the stencil and adding in one of the cloud dies from Cloudy Scene Dies. To keep this super simple, I added in the 'Thinking of You' sentiment from the Stamp & Cut set.

My second card uses the stencil with various pink Distress Inks. This time once I was done stenciling, I rotated the stencil just a bit and ink blended again. This gives this gorgeous layered look!

I added in the Paper Layering Window Shutters (I added vellum to the windows) and some light blue Distress Ink panels behind the windows. I added some coordinating pink flowers that were stamped and die cut using the One Thing at a Time Stamp & Cut. The gorgeous sentiment is from Floral Heart Wreath.

I had to pull out the bicycle from Wheelie Amazing and embellish it just like the photo. I mean, who wouldn't want a bright blue bicycle?

I added all my stamped and colored elements to a watercolored background sky. To complete my scene, I added some die cut images from an older SugarCut: Whatever the Weather for the sun and clouds.

I have a couple of cards to share using the add-ons from this month's My Monthly Hero Release!

My first card uses the new One Thing at a Time Stamp & Cut. I stamped the sentiment in bold black ink and embellished with the flowers from the set in retro colors. Everything was layered over a 1/2" scored background.

My second card uses the adorable Mailbox Fancy Die. I went traditional and die cut the mailbox from blue cardstock but added depth with shading using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink along the edges. I added 2 envelopes from the die set and layered over an impressed background. The sentiment is Hello Stamp & Cut (older product) that is still available on the Hero Arts website.
