Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Anything Goes

15july2014#2

Today marks the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge 1st Anniversary!
What a fabulous year it has been!

Let's celebrate with an Anything Goes challenge!

photo source:  decoritdarling.net

I was inspired with the florals and gorgeous blue color in the photo.  I was excited to use this new to me stamp set from Altenew called Painted Flowers.  Oh my......am I IN LOVE!!!!!!!  This set is right up my alley and I can't believe it took me so long to purchase this!  You can stamp your florals in any color combo and they turn out so beautiful.  I found the video on the Altenew blog to be very helpful when starting out with this set.  You can find the video HERE.  A beautiful hand written sentiment from Friendship Messages by Simon Says Stamp and 4mm/6mm Sparkling Clear Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh were added.

Cutting Edge Challenge #3

It's time to share the next Cutting Edge Challenge!  We have another beautiful inspiration project, this one done by Lisa Addesa.  I can’t wait for you all to play along, so let’s get to it, shall we?!

Okay, here’s the gig!  Let yourself be inspired by Lisa's card, and create a card that includes die cutting (all forms accepted).  There’s so much about this project to be inspired by, right?!  Here’s what I created:

Lil' Inker Designs thanks word die

I was inspired by Lisa's banner down the left side with the diecut hearts and the bright colors.  I translated those things into my card.  I used the new Thanks Word Die from Lil' Inker Designs to diecut my own banner and was added to my striped background of cardstock with foam adhesive.  Other than my diecutting, the card is pretty CAS with a few added enamel dots!

Thanks Word Die

We’d love to have you play along with us! If you click on through to The Cutting Edge Challenge Blog, you’ll find lots of information, including:

  • The two Winners of the last challenge, as well as the Top 3, are being announced;
  • The first half of the The Cutting Edge Design Team is sharing their samples for the challenge, and they are pretty fabulous;
  • The rules and regulations of the Challenge are listed; and
  • The InLinkz link-up tool for you to link up YOUR project!

The challenge closes on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 9:00 AM EDT, so what are you waiting for?!  You can find everything you need to play along HERE.  We can’t wait to see what you create!!

{thanks}
Cardstock:  Pure Poppy, Harvest Gold, New Leaf, White (PTI)
Die:  Thanks (Lil' Inker Designs)
Misc:  Foam Adhesive, Enamel Dots (Teresa Collins)

Happy Saturday!!!  This has been a week of being mom's taxi to and from camp, nurse mom to a sick little girl, and some fun things in there too.  Today we are planning a swim day and I can't wait!  Kids will both have friends so mom can RELAX.  I'm not sure I know what that is!!!  :)

I thought I'd play along with the current CASology Cue:  Glow.  Here is how I was inspired.......I stamped a row of candles from Happy Everything by Whimsy Stamps in pastel colors.  To keep with the softer look of this birthday card, I stamped the sentiment in Slate Ink.  Do you notice the stitched curved border?  This is a new die from Pretty Pink Posh called Stitched Borders 1 and it's awesome!

Reverse Confetti SFYTT

7.11#2.14

I'm sharing a card for the Sketch For You to Try over at Reverse Confetti.

I strayed from my CAS ways to this more layered look.  I said that I channeled my inner Jen del Muro and Susan Liles for this one!  LOL  I told them that this card turned out but took me FOREVER to make!  I hope you like it!

I used OODLES of Reverse Confetti goodies for this one.......they are all listed below but I used 7 Confetti Cuts, Fabulous Flamingos and Whole Lotts Dots stamps!  The part I love the most is that I used the Diagonal Stripe Pretty Panel as an impression plate!!!  Oh yeah, that polka dot background paper?  Yep.  I stamped that!

7.11.14

Don't forget to stop by the Reverse Confetti Blog for all the SFYTT details and to link up your own card for a chance to be the 'Fetti Fave!!!!

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!

Reverse Confetti July Blog Hop!

AmyRaccoon2

We hope you all agree that this month’s release from REVERSE CONFETTI is hot, hot hot!  We changed things up a bit this month and brought you more dies than ever before, but still quenched your thirst for those fun Quirky Cuties with Rocky Raccoon and introduced what’s sure to be a new favorite, Fabulous Flamingo, just to name a couple of the new stamp sets (there are 4—along with 7 Confetti Cuts Die sets).  Today, we are making a final splash with all the new products, and bringing you our Reverse Confetti new release blog hop.  You’ll have it made in the shade once you see all the fun you can have with this release!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Jessica Fick’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets and dies!

I must confess....I don't color but what I have been loving lately is watercoloring with Distress Inks!  So I inked up Rocky Raccoon with Versamark and heat embossed in black.  Then I went to town watercoloring and adding shading.  I actually had fun coloring!!  I layered Rocky onto some die cut circles from Circles 'n Scallops and carefully layered them so that the chevrons still lined up on the paper.  My sentiment was stamped onto a banner diecut from Tag Me.

AmyRaccoon

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Kathy Martin’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.

A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…

July’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY is open for you to play along.  Click HERE for a chance to win.   NEW COLOR challenge we will be introducing on July 16th and another way to win!

Celebrate the creative side of you!

Countdown to Confetti: Day 3

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti July Release!  If you are just joining in on the fun, there AMAZING things happening this month.....4 new stamp sets and 7 Confetti Cuts this month!

Today we are sharing inspiration using two new sets:  Fresh 'n Fruity and Fabulous Flamingo.  I have 2 cards to share today.

First up.......Fresh 'n Fruity for a little margarita action!  I love LOVE margaritas and this set is perfect to make my margarita lovin' friends some cards!  I've used the stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts and layered them on a new die called Pretty Panels: Diagonal Stripe.  These panels are sized to layer over the scalloped rectangle from Love Notes.  Genius!!!

AmyFruity

Next up.......Fabulous Flamingo and coordinating Confetti Cuts.  First let's take a look at the scallop circle and inner circle.  These are the new Circles and Scallops Confetti Cuts......they are amazing and have a cute debossed line to them!  The circles were layered onto striped paper from MME (Market Street Ashbury Heights) and adorned with 4mm clear sequins.  I'm not sure about anyone else, but I've been seeing TONS of flamingo themed things lately and this stamp set is fantastic!  It's punny, fun, and Jen has thought of everything for this set!

Today we are sharing inspiration using a new set in the Key Words Collection:  So Very Special.

I paired up the new Confetti Cuts: Tag Me, Too and Key Words: So Very Special for a mini card that is perfect to add as a tag on a gift bag!  If you visit often, then you know I am VERY fond of mini's and this Tag Me, Too die is perfect for mini cards!  I stamped my sentiment in StazOn Black onto vellum and overlayed it onto some gold striped paper from MME.  A few mini gold sequins were added for that bling!
