Congrats Blog Hop!

Welcome to a special blog hop......we are sending HUGE congrats to Kate and John from i {heart} papers!!!  I've enjoyed my guest designer position the past two months and I'm so glad to be included in this hop congratulating a very special couple on their marriage!

I've used some fabulous stamps from Avery Elle........Petals and Stems and Handwritten Notes!  (Both these sets are available at i {heart} papers!)  I've masked the blooms and leaf image from Petals and Stems in various colors.  I then added a sentiment and I LOVE how Handwritten Notes has these little "extra" phrases to add to your sentiments!  To embellish just a bit, I've added some iridescent sequins, white satin bow, and prisma glitter.

Introducing.......Autumn Splendor!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all are having a great start to your weekend!  The temperature is WAYY cooler this weekend than last......fall is in the air!!  This week my son has the opportunity to play their football game at the KSU Wildcat stadium!!!  The boys look forward to it all year!

You are probably wondering what I'm introducing........a new TWINE color from Timeless Twine by Bella Creationz called Autumn Spendor!!!  It's just perfect for fall, Disney, or many other occasions!  It is a wonderful mix of black, white, yellow, and red.  I know I will be using this a lot!!

I have a sweet "thanks" card using a new stamp set called Forever Fall from Reverse Confetti.  I've added stitching to a piece of pattern paper from the Happy Haunting 6x6 collection by MME.  My sentiment (also from Forever Fall) was stamped in Black Staz-On onto vellum so that it could be layered over the die cut leaves.  Adding in some new Autumn Splendor twine to the vellum banner was the perfect touch!

The new twine is available now and can be found HERE!  Thanks so much for stopping by and for sharing part of your day with me!

CAS-ual Fridays: Back to School

It's finally here!  I'm so super excited to be sharing my first card as a Girl Friday over at CAS-ual Fridays!   Since it's officially September and the start of most schools by now, we are celebrating Back to School!

So the challenge for the next TWO weeks is to create a CAS Back to School project.  Our fabulous sponsor this week is Ellen Hutson!  The winner of this challenge will earn a $25 store credit to use!

I can never have enough teacher cards......there's the classroom teacher, the band teacher, the art teacher, etc. and the list goes on.  So I used this opportunity to whip up this CAS thanks teacher card!  I've used a Paper Smooches stamp set called Smarty Pants to stamp my images and colored in some areas with Copics onto a grid pattern paper from 24 seven by Simple Stories.  My apple is popped up for dimension and glossy accents applied.  I've given texture to an otherwise plain card using an impression plate from PTI called Rustic Burlap.

Remember, this is two week challenge so you have until September 18th to play along. I can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!

Lawnscaping Challenge #64

I've recently found a sweet spot for Lawn Fawn!  People.......have you seen their new release???  OH MY.  I have a *little* list going.  hehe

I made this card with some goodies from Lawn Fawn for their current Lawnscaping Challenge to DISTRESS.  Um....I can do that!  It's no secret that Distress Inks are some of my favorite inks to play with.  I was inspired by a sheet of paper from the new cut & paste "ADORBS" collection by MME and decided to make my own paper with Distress Inks!  My background was made sponging Evergreen Bough and Shabby Shutters ink onto a white panel blending until I got the look I wanted!

My hot air balloon from Blue Skies was paper pieced with paper from the ADORBS paper collection and highlights were made using Copics R83, R85 (balloon) and E55, E57 (basket).  Everything was so easy to do using the coordinating Blue Skies Dies!  The cute little bow is made with the hemp twine from the Lawn Trimmings pack.

Monday Mood Board #18

Now that school is back in the swing of things, I had a day to myself yesterday to do a little retail therapy at Michaels and Scrapbooks Etc (my local scrapbook store).  I also had time to play along with the latest Mood Board found HERE.

I went for a very clean and simple thank you using Super Stripes from PTI and the focal images from the newest stamp set called Dockside from Wplus9.  Using the coordinating dies, I die cut a boat and layered it onto my stamped rope circle.  The banner is from the set Basic Banners and die cut with the coordinating die.  I just may have mentioned before that I LOVE coordinating products and you can find these new Wplus9 products over at i {heart} papers!

Thank you

Have a wonderful Friday and guess what?  I get crafty time all to myself for part of the weekend!!!  Anyone want to chat?

{Thank you}

Festive Friday Challenge!

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!!  I'm so excited to be here today sharing a card for the Festive Friday Challenge!  Thanks to the super sweet and super talented Meredith of A Delightful Waste of Time for inviting me to play along this week!!!

When I first took a look at the inspiration photo, I saw the obvious and then I kept thinking and thinking.  So ultimately I came back to my first thought of stockings hanging from a mantle.  I've used a fabulous new holiday die by Memory Box called Precious Stockings and die cut several stockings in fun colors.  I embellished with a tiny little button stamp from Wplus9 called Blanket Stitched Blooms.  The sentiment is from that stamp set as well (it is masked off).
You can get these products from i {heart} papers!!!

My background is an embossing folder that I've had for ages by Cuttlebug.  My friend, Wida from Beachorado, always ties the most beautiful flowing bows with twine.  This is my inner Wida at work here!  LOL  Thank you Wida!!  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone!  I am beyond thrilled to be joining you for the next 2 months as the i {heart} papers Guest Designer!  Thank you Kate for letting me share a part of what you offer!!!  If you have not heard of IHP, then you need to go check them out.  Kate offers some of the best new products out there from companies like Wplus9, Fresh Squeezed Stamps, Avery Elle, Lawn Fawn, CAS-ual Fridays, and the list goes on.  Better yet?  The service is top notch!

For my first guest post, I thought I'd use my favorite (and I'm talking FAVORITE) floral stamp set that I have EVER purchased.......Fresh Cut Florals from Wplus9.  Hands down.....a perfectly designed set with matching Fresh Cut Floral dies.

8.1.13

My bloom arrangement was layered onto another favorite Wplus9 set of mine:  A PocketfulMy pocket was die cut using the A Pocketful Dies.  The sentiment is from Strictly Sentiments 2.  I also used Jardin Moss ink for the "vein" of my leaves.  I wish you could see the glitter I've added with my Wink of Stella Brush......this thing is awesome!  It gives just a tiny bit of shimmer without all the mess!

Thanks so much for sharing a part of your day with me!
