BIA fridge magnet

I made this adorable refrigerator magnet for my Clinical Coordinator (my boss) where I work. Last year at seminar, several other "sister" angels and I decided to find my boss's dad's Dairy Queen because if I remember right, someone wanted m&m's. Do you girls remember this? Remember we were making memories!!! So, I said let's try to find the Dairy Queen and it would mean so much to my boss if we could visit her dad's store. So, after a LONG time driving around, we finally found it and it looked just like the Dairy Queen I used to go to every Friday when I was a little girl. My grandpa would come over every Friday to watch Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas, and Falcon Crest. We would then drive down the street to our local DQ to get us a blizzard!! I really remember those memories fondly as my grandpa passed away a number of years ago. Anyway back to the story, I introduced myself to the owner and told him that I worked with his daughter. We then got a picture in front of his DQ and I made this for my boss. Wheww, that was a lot of talking!!! Here's how this was made. I had ripped apart one of those Coffee Break board books and adhered some TAC exclusive paper. I the ran it through my BIA, attached picture, ribbons and scrappers floss. See that little tag on the top? That is actually a pull tab that can be pulled out and has my journaling on it for my boss!! She loved it!!

Disney momentos

Here are some Disney autograph books that I've been working on for my kids to get autographs of the characters at Disneyworld. I plan on snapping a pic as well and when we get home, I will put together their mini autograph book!! The dimensions are 4 x 5 1/2" and boy I sure do wish that I had the new Zutter Rount it All corner rounder for this project!! It would have worked perfect.....the way I did it works, but this would have saved so much time!! This tool will certainly be on my list of things from Serendipity soon.
I did some looking locally for a Mickey Mouse stamp set to use and found this one at my LSS (Scrapbooks Etc.). I still want to do some looking to find a bigger one to use for my scrapbook once we get back. This set is by EK Success and fits perfectly with their circle punch!!!

Christmas gifts

I wanted to post the pics of the gifts I made for various people this year at Christmas. I did break down and buy some Papertrey Ink stamps and I have to say.....WOW---love them!!! I will definitely be ordering more soon. I love how they have release parties, countdown, and NEW stamps every month!! Well, check out the link above for yourself if you are interested in clear stamping, new paper lines and new Palette ink colors. Now, on to the gifts I made.

This tin is from Papertrey Ink and was "lifted" from somewhere with a few minor changes I made. The red cardstock and ink are Papertrey....yep matching paper/ink!! The aqua cardstock and ink are SU. I absolutely love the versatility of this stamp set......Holiday Treats and who wouldn't like to get a personalized gift like this? These stamps fit exactly on Avery labels and they fit on Hershey nuggets!! This was made for my son's 1st grade teacher.

Now this second project is one using the bind-it-all machine...I love this thing!! I again made this for my son's 1st grade teacher. It is a magnetic notepad that can be personalized with a picture of her children. I did use TAC stamp set Forever Family for the heart and Build-a-Flower for the "happiness". The chipboard for the bases are just coasters you get from restaurants. Nothin' fancy!! Did you notice I also made a pen that matches her notepad?? How cool is that?

Now, we have various tins that were made for my husband's friends at work. I used another set in there this time....Can you see it? Yep, it's the Sweet Goodies stamp set from TAC for the tags!! To make the tags not so "white", I just used a sponge to lightly dab the white tags. This technique just "softens" it up a bit. Now, wait I'm not done yet!!

Here are the tins I made for my boss a.k.a. clinical coordinator and DON where I work. Here I got out my Alcohol inks and started inking them up. Not so traditional colors this time but I think they are oh so cute!!

What do you think?? Let me know!!

My mini calendar

Here is the mini calendar version of the Countdown to Disney one from the previous post. Again I used Heather's idea and used an unknown pattern paper, the bind-it-all, ribbon, and her file for the calendar. I made several for Christmas presents this past holiday and they were a hit!! I like the neutral pattern.....that way I was able to use whatever color ribbon I wanted!!

Here's what I've been working on.....

My brother's family and ours have been planning a DisneyWorld trip for quite a while now and it is finally down to less than a month away before we leave. I made this flip over "Countdown to Disney" for my niece and nephews. They should be getting it in the mail today hopefully so that they can start it Weds. My kids are excited to start "flipping" the days over until DisneyWorld. I used Heather's mini calendar idea for my countdown idea for Disney. I think it turned out so cute!!! Now, I did make several of these mini calendars for Christmas presents last month. They were a hit!! Thanks Heather for the idea!!! I love how the numbers are right justified and can flip over without having to move the ribbon. Too bad these numbers are a retired TAC stamp set.
