You make life colorful!

I've got some adorable school Valentines my daughter is taking this year.  I've had this idea for a long time and finally when all the school supplies went on clearance this fall, I bought enough boxes of these 24ct. Crayola Crayons for her to use.  If I remember right, I paid less than 50 cents a piece!   I love that these are going to be a "sweet free" treat for her classmates!

We started by designing our word "colorful" in a Word document......and yes, Payton helped me with all of this.  She even knew (by name) which font she wanted to use even before we started!!!  After printing out one sheet of these.......we trimmed down to make bands to wrap the crayon boxes.  We then decided to stamp out the words......you make life......using some Reverse Confetti stamps (Sweet Thing) and adding a border stamp using Whole Lotta Hearts.

2.6.14

What I enjoyed most about this was that Payton and I could work on this together.  I happily helped (like with dimensions, scoring, etc.) but then she had fun stamping and assembling!

{you make life COLORFUL}
Stamps:  Sweet Thing, Whole Lotta Hearts (Reverse Confetti)
Paper:  White (PTI)
Ink:  Red Currant (Fresh Ink)
Misc:  Digital sentiment

Adorable idea! And how wonderful that it was a project you & Payton could do together. She should be very proud of these cute Valentine treats.

Such a brilliant idea for Valentine's Day! I'll bet that most of the little ones' crayons are broken or down to stubs by now. Perfect gift, and such a sweet wrapper! This is a home run!! Bev
