I LOVE this new die called Pocket Border from Pretty Pink Posh!   As soon as I saw this die, this card layout came to mind.  The stitching adds just the perfect touch to this layer plus the added "notch" makes it so cute!  I've also added in some amazing  6mm Watermelon and 4mm/6mm Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!  (I've realized that I now need the 4mm Watermelon too! :) )

****************************************************************

I've paired a few more new goodies up for my "sweet" goodie box today.  I love to have these small types of boxes handy to put a quick giftie in.  Here I've used the Tag Tote Confetti Cuts (previously released) for the base of my box done in black cardstock.  I've then dressed it up with a Love Note frame and layering it with the new Heart Love Pretty Panels Confetti Cut......my favorite of the release!

Today we are sharing projects using Love Blooms and Sugary Sweet Sentiments.  I totally LOVE floral stamps and dies so Love Blooms has stolen a piece of my heart!

Love Blooms1

This card also uses another of the Quick Card Panels that are available NEW this month!  This QCP has these exact florals but in smaller scale in the right corner.  I've taken those florals from the stamp set Love Blooms, stamped and diecut them.  I then just placed them over the existing florals but popping some up with foam adhesive.  I added some Sparkling Clear Sequins and Stickles to dress it up!

Love Blooms2

My next card uses the new set...... Sugary Sweet Sentiments.  Here I've used the sentiment "you totally rock" and paired it with Inner Rock Star.  I stamped the sentiment onto a new Square Tag Die but covered up the "tag" part with a silver heat embossed guitar.  A new Pretty Panel die called Straight Stripes was cut with silver foil paper and layered behind the sentiment tag.

Sugary Sweet Sentiments1

My background was created with Distress Inks and water.  Simply smoosh the colors onto a craft mat and spritz with water.  Take a piece of watercolor paper and drag it through your colors on the craft mat.  Let this dry or use a heat tool to speed up the drying.

This month's release has everything Valentine you could want and then some!  Today the DT is sharing projects using Right Here Right Now and Here's the Story.  These sets just might convert me to take up a simpler version of scrapbooking.....Project Life.  We'll see!

Since I haven't done scrapbooking in forever........I decided to use these sets to make my kids "mailbox" valentines this year.  The base of both was diecut using the coordinating "card" die.   Here are both together using Doodlebug Design's Love Bug collection:

Documented Here's the Story1

The card on the left was made by selectively inking a sentiment from Here's the Story in black onto a Heart to Heart diecut.  A diecut row of hearts were added behind.....and since this card is for my son, I didn't embellish any further......ya know, because boys don't like all the bling!

Documented Here's the Story2

The card with all the cute Love Bug paper is for my daughter so I added the fun stuff!  A sentiment from Here's the Story and Right Here Right Now were stamped onto a strip of vellum and adhered.  A few sequins were added along with a diecut heart (from Love Notes) which was stamped with "14".

Documented Here's the Story3

This month's release has everything Valentine you could want and then some!  Today the DT is sharing projects using Puppy Love and Heart to Heart.

When I received the Puppy Love stamps and coordinating Confetti Cuts, I knew they would be the first thing I would work with!  I am a sucker for matchy matchy stamps and dies.  These puppy images are just the right "card size" and perfect for non-colorers like me.

So I did try some Copics on this cutie and I actually had fun coloring and shading!  I used Copics in shades of gray and red.  The images were cut out using the coordinating dies.

Puppy Love1

Now.......did you notice the panel my puppy and pawprints is on?  These are the new Quick Card Panels that are Limited Edition from Reverse Confetti!  These panels are the perfect size and you can easily embellish them to your hearts desire!!!!  There are a total of 16 in a pack with 8 different designs.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Winter Wonder

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

We have a new sponsor, Altenew, for this challenge!  A randomly selected participant will receive a stamp set of choice from the Altenew shop, while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

If I could say I have a stamp crush right now, it would be the Vintage Roses set from Altenew.  Oh my.....this set is BRILLIANT!  For a multi-step stamp lover like me, this set is a DREAM!

Going with the colors of the inspiration photo, I stamped many roses and leaves and fussy cut them out.  You don't need lots of ink colors to make this set work.  If you use the stamping off method, then you can achieve the softer versions of a dark ink!  Perfect for this type of stamp set!

For my card, I used Vintage Cream (PTI) for the solid base of the rose, Provincial Gray (Fresh Ink) for the second step, and Delicata Silver for the last detail stamp.  I love the muted look to the roses!!!  My rose panel was layered over a piece of silver foil cardstock and the edges of the base were scored to frame in my focal point.  A few Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added to finish off the elegance!
