Love at first sight.....

Today is my first official post over on the Market Street Stamps blog.  The title of my post is truly how I felt the first time I used the background stamps available on Market Street!  I have been longing for full card front background stamps for so long and these are fabulous!!

Today I've used the Bit of Burlap background stamp with my Distress Inks.  Starting with cardstock stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder, I sponged on Barn Door Distress Ink.  You can add a little or a lot.  The color is up to you.  Then going back over my panel with Tea Dye and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks to give it a weathered look.

The LOVE sentiment is from the Hippie Chic stamp set and was white heat embossed on red cardstock, cut out, mounted on brown die cut shape, and popped up over my twine embellishment.

I'm sure you will see me using lots of these background stamps.........they are a favorite of mine!  Do you have a favorite Market Street Stamp background?  I'd love to hear yours!

Don't forget tomorrow starts the Market Street Sketch challenge.  So check back then for more inspiration using a SKETCH from the Design Team.

Ooh...I must have this background. It is SO cute. I only have one of their backgrounds - the "Here comes the sun". I love it, but don't use it alot..I need to change that! I really am going to have to go and buy this set, though....right now.

I have recently discovered your blog. DON'T ask me what took me so long. Anyway, I'm working my way backwards, and will try not to comment on everything, but this card made me stop and gasp. I LOVE what you did with that Bit of Burlap stamp. AND-- I have that stamp. I'm so excited to try this. It's brilliant. I never would have thought of using anything but versamark, but I love what a BOLD statement the white embossing makes. I only have 2 of these--bit of burlap and the zebra, but I love them both.
