Lil' Inker Designs April Release: Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs April Release! This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps that will be perfect for those any occasion cards.......are you ready? You should have arrived from the Maureen's blog. But guess what?? The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

I've used the new set called We Connect and had some fun with watercoloring with my Distress Inks! I first embossed the image with white embossing powder. The key is to wet your paper well first and then you just drop color onto the area you are coloring! Look how vibrant these colors are! (I've used Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, Mermaid Lagoon, Peeled Paint, Picked Raspberry, and Dusty Concord)

My sentiment was stamped onto a strip of vellum with Black StazOn and cut at an angle. This was attached to my cardfront along with a pink angled strip wtih my Tiny Attacher.

Next up, I have a card using the new Aweosme Blossom stamps. This set also has a coordinating die set but I wanted to stamp my own background paper. To stamp my sentiment, I cut my stamped panel in sections. I love the look of the split panel!

Lil' Inker Designs April Release: Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs April Release! This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps that will be perfect for those any occasion cards.......are you ready? You should have arrived from the Chrissy's blog. But guess what?? The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

My first card is my version of 'artsy'! I watercolored some Heidi Swapp Primrose Color Shine onto Tim Holtz watercolor paper and let it dry. Next, I stamped the large 'heart' and arrow image from the new set called Vintage Ink across my watercolor panel.

Tiny hearts were stamped in BubbleGum ink from Hero Arts. My sentiment was pieced together with the word 'lucky' stamped on a angle cut banner. This panel was embellished with lots of Sparkling Clear Sequins and attached with a layer of fun foam for dimension.

My next project features this new Petal Card Die along with these mini Glassine Envies. I made a quick little trio of Happy Birthday cards! Papers are from the Polka, Mon Amie collection (Lawn Fawn). This die makes a fabulous stitched perimeter. I've embellished the envies with a polka dot band and a sentiment from Send Pretty Greeting Stamps along with Sparkling Clear Sequins.

Here is one of the cards opened up. I've used the new Stitched Mats: Dual Stitched Squares of which the second to smallest fits the inside of this card PERFECTLY!! I stamped another greeting from Send Pretty Greeings Stamps and added some mini balloons using the Mini Party Die Set.

Ink sponging!

Happy Friday!!

I was up over on the Taylored Expressions blog Tuesday with this card.

I thought I'd play with my Cloud Border die and sponge a gorgeous "spring" sky. I love how it turned out! And that kitty? Love it's tongue hanging out.....or sticking out! ☺

Sweet Baby

Hi!

I am really trying to build up my stash of cards I don't usually make. Today's card is all BABY.

I've used one of the Reverse Confetti Quick Card Panels from the newest release called Pina Colada. I love the bold stripes on this one! I've stamped, diecut, and colored the sweet lion image from Leaping Lions and attached it with foam adhesive. The diecut baby word die from Fancy Words Confetti Cuts was diecut out of white cardstock that was blended with some Copics for an ombre look. The rest of my sentiment (from Fancy Word Coordinates) was masked and stamped onto a thin strip of white cardstock and the end was cut at an angle.

To finish off the card, I die cut one star from Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts and added it to the banner. Now look at those tiny tiny little star confetti......(these tied the whole card together). They are from Butterfly Reflections. ♥♥

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Bouquet

It's time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!

We have a new sponsor, Penny Black, for the Curtain Call Inspiration: Bouquet! A randomly selected participant in the Bouquet challenge will have their choice of a Penny Black gift certificate, while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I started out gold heat embossing my image on white cardstock. Using Abandoned Coral and Peeled Paint Distress Inks, I watercolored my image adding shading in some areas. A bit of gold splattering of Heidi Swapp Color Shine was done across the panel. Under my sentiment banner, a small bow of gold thread was added with a glue dot. And of course my card would not be complete without GOLD sequins from Pretty Pink Posh!
