Lil' Inker Designs December Release: Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Lil' Inker Designs December Release!  This release is HUGE and FULL of amazing dies and stamps.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from the  Lil' Inker Designs blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

Today is All About Ampersands!  If you have not seen it yet, there is this new AMAZING new set called All About Ampersands.  I've used the Cover Up die here and layered it over a pastel background of Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangles.

AmyAlways&Forever

The rest of my sentiment comes from the All About Ampersands stamp set that was stamped and trimmed out with a tiny white border left.  Instead of my "usual" sequins, I've added some small clear gemstones.

Next up is a card using a FABULOUS new word die:  Awesome.  Why is it fabulous?  It is Laura's handwriting made into a die!  I adore her handwriting and so glad we now have it in die form!  This is a follow-up to the ever fabulous Seriously word die released a while back.  My sentiment from Hello, Awesome was stamped on a Flag Die and 'Awesome' was diecut from gold cardstock.

AmyAwesome

This card uses the new Stitched Mats: Long & Skinny Rectangles in a trendy black and white pattern paired with gold paired with a bold pink Anytime Tags Die Set 2.

****If you are here for my Lil' Inker Designs December Release post, please scroll down!****

With love.......at Christmas!  I am so in LOVE with this adorable Gingerbread House die from Whimsy Stamps that was designed by my friend, Simonne Clay.  All the little details are there in this set!

I diecut tons of little pieces to put this house together and yes it took time but oh so worth it!  I chose some fun colors that reminded me of candy!

12.6.14

I nestled my Gingerbread House onto some hills of snow that were diecut with the Stitched Border Trio Die set.  For my sentiment, I used 2 stamps from Christmas Greetings and selectively inked the "happy Christmas" to just get the word Christmas.

Lil' Inker Designs December Release: Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs December Release!  This release is HUGE and FULL of amazing dies and stamps.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from the  Lil' Inker Designs blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

I've got another card to share today using more of the "GEM" release from Lil' Inker Designs.  This one is using stamps from a Girl's Best Friend.  I've stamped the gems from the set in black ink and then loosely colored them with watered down Distress Inks.

AmyYou'reAGem

My sentiment (also from Girl's Best Friend) was stamped onto an Anytime Tags 2 diecut and then trimmed flush with my patterned "gem" panel.

AmyYou'reAGem2

For my second card, I've used the new Girl's Best Friend Die along with a fabulous new alphabet set called Alphabet Gems.  I started by diecutting the Diamond Die in silver Glitzy Glitter paper and backing it with white cardstock.  Next, came all the Glossy Accents covering the entire diamond!  Let this dry.....it will be worth it!  It's so shiny and sparkly IRL!

AmyCongrats

I used the Alphabet Gems to put together the word "Congrats" on a large clear block.  I wanted to be able to stamp this word one time on my cardstock panel.  I practiced a few times on scratch paper first to make sure I had them perfectly straight and lined up.  My sentiment was colored in with a trio of Copics: BG10 BG11, and BG13.

AmyCongrats2

Here's the shine and dimension the diamond has with all the Glossy Accents and accent sequins and glittery stamps!

Lil' Inker Designs December Release: Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs December Release!  This release is HUGE and FULL of amazing dies and stamps that will be perfect for those any occasion cards or some Valentines.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from the  Lil' Inker Designs blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

I am so excited to share today's card with you!  The new Cover Up Die: Faceted is just amazing.  I've created a lot of backgrounds using it.  Today I'm using it as a shaker card using the "hidden" heart in the pattern as my shaker "window".

I started by doing a watercolor wash with Distress Inks to a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and allowed to dry completely, then diecut with the Cover Up: Faceted removing just the "heart" pieces.  To the back of this piece (all my remaining pieces stayed in the diecut), I put tons of adhesive and applied a clear piece of cardstock.

AmyLoveAlways

I used DOUBLE thickness of foam adhesive because I really wanted to make my sequins "shake" so this card will probably have to be hand delivered!  haha  The sentiment is from a new set called All About Ampersand.  Here's a bit of a close-up of the detail.

December Verve Diva Inspiration Hop!

Welcome to Verve's December Diva Inspirations Hop.
It's the 5th of the month and that means it's time for the Divas to serve up some fresh inspiration with their Verve stamps! Leave some comment love along the hop spots for a chance to win a prize, then grab some stamps and play along with our December inspiration challenge for another chance to win!

This month's challenge is entitled O Christmas Tree:

Ribbons and sparkle and merry galore! Create a card inspired by the decorations of the season!

As you can see, I didn't stray too far from the inspiration photo for my card.  I loved the classic deep reds and greens in the photo.  I paper pieced the trees from Christmas in the Air into a winter scene of embossed snowflakes and snowy hills.  Going with classic here, I stamped the "Merry Christmas" sentiment on my snowy hill.  I adore the font of the sentiments from Holiday Treats.

12.5.14

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blogtoday for all the prize info and deadlines!

Paper Crafts Swan Song Blog Hop!

Welcome friends!
What an honor to be amongst the many, many talented friends in this blog hop today to say "Thank You" to Paper Crafts Magazine.  You should have arrived here from my fellow Gallery Idol friend, Dana Warren.

My memories are somewhat newer than some in this hop but I can't help but share the photo that made my papercrafting year........Paper Crafts Gallery Idol 2012.  Forever changed my world!  That contest challenged me in so many ways and my closest friends will know this but creating under pressure is what fuels me!

This past January I was able to attend my first CHA......and I got to meet Susan Opel and the gals of Paper Crafts!  It was so fun to finally meet the ladies I've emailed and messaged over the years!  Exactly as sweet in person as in the messages.  :)

One last memory.......my WCMD 2013 card that made the COVER of the March 2014 issue!  I will never forget that email from Susan!!  I'm not the kind to get too sappy but I will miss Paper Crafts Magazine.......the actual publication in my hands.  I used to love getting the copy in the mail and I would pour over the issue......the photos, the supply lists, the tutorials.  Who else is with me on this one?  {sniff sniff}

When I was rooting (literally) through my stamps to find the perfect sentiment, I came across the sentiment "Forever Grateful" from the Sketched Floral stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs.  Lucky me, the fabulous floral outline stamps were in this set too.  I decided to white heat emboss the florals and watercolor with Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean).

Forever Grateful

The tag is actually the Folding Tag Die-Original with the "flap" trimmed off.  This is what I layered my florals, sentiment, and Sparkling Clear sequins (Pretty Pink Posh) onto.  For that fabulous stitched background, I used the Quilted Stitched Pattern die.

Forever Grateful2

Thank you SO much Paper Crafts for everything you've given me over the past few years!!!
You're next stop is a very sweet friend Wanda Guess.
