Avery Elle / Orchid

Hello!  I'm here sharing a card using the beautiful Orchid stamp set from Avery Elle.
With the sentiments included, this set can be used for ANY occasion.

Orchid

I stamped the main orchid image with Black New Moon Dye Ink from Avery Elle.  Using Copics, the image was colored in adding in shading in places.  I wanted my image to be front and center.  To do this, I added my Copic colored and die cut image with foam adhesive over a background blended with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and a white Scalloped Mat Elle-Ments panel.  To finish, I added a white sentiment strip and some Wink of Stella on the blooms.

So Super2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Reverse Confetti March Release!

This release should get you in the SPRING mood!

Make sure to check out the Reverse Confetti blog for a list full of inspiration and information on all the new goodies!!

My favorite day of Reverse Confetti releases is the debut of the newest sets illustrated by Dawn Machell.

So Super is a fun super hero set with adorable details.  I created a galaxy type background with Distress Inks on Bristol Smooth cardstock and splattered white acrylic paint.  This panel was die cut using the You're Super Duper Confetti Cuts.  I layered this panel over a white notecard that was ink blended with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.  My super hero was Copic colored and added with foam adhesive along with the lightning bolt.  I added the stamped "city" image at the bottom and a bold black frame (using Stitched Note & Frame Confetti Cuts) with foam adhesive.

So Super

The next set in the line up from Dawn Machell is Spring Pals.  I love this set!   Spring has arrived in my craft room!

Spring Pals

I can't wait to create more little scenes with Spring Pals.  I started out with a die cut Stitched Hex Tag and ink blended Broken China and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks.  I added my Copic colored images with foam adhesive onto my ink blended tag.  My cute scene was added to my notecard that was lined with pattern paper from Pattern Play.

Hello and Welcome!
The Ton is celebrating their first washi tape release with two new washi tapes! There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps' blog for more details of this amazing blog hop!

The Washi Tape debuting today is a representation of some of Effie's watercolor work!  Wildflowers and Pink Peonies are great staples to make a quick and easy card.  The rose gold foiling is GORGEOUS!!

I layered some of the Pink Peonies Washi Tape over a panel of white cardstock.  My sentiment is from Seriously Amazing Sentiments and was rose gold heat embossed onto a vellum strip.  To finish, I added a smaller coordinating sentiment strip along with some Espresso gems.

Wildflowers

My second card uses the Wildflowers Washi Tape.  The colors in this are amazing and remind me of spring!  (wish that it would come soon here in Kansas!)

This one I layered the Wildflowers Washi Tape over a white panel, trimmed down, and added it with foam adhesive to a mint color of cardsock.  I added a stamped vellum sentiment strip and some clear gems.  (sentiment is from Peony Notes Bundle)

Starting the release off is this fun floral set called Hatbox Florals along with some must have sentiments, Word Up.

The papers in the Darling Dots 6x6 paper are so pretty.  I am a huge fan of versatile papers and these are perfect!  I Copic colored my main hat box floral, die cut, and added wink of stella to the blooms.  My sentiment was stamped onto a panel of vellum and adhered behind a frame from Stitched Note & Frames.  I kept this card flat except for a few sparkling clear sequins.  I left the foam adhesive off for once!!

SugarPea Designs / Easter Wishes

Hello!  I'm here with a different version of a card I made for the recent SugarPea Designs February release.  Most often when I create, I make several things and then arrange to my liking.  Well, I did just this with the Egg Cut-Away Window Die and the Easter Wishes stamps.

Easter Greetings

I softly ink blended Bundled Sage Distress Ink over a white panel of cardstock and then die cut using the Egg Cut-Away Window Die.  I knew I wanted to back my window with a white panel that was die cut using the Letter Message Board.  I love that used like this looks like shiplap!  My bunny was die cut from a pink glitter cardstock and mounted with foam adhesive as well as my Egg "window".  I added a very thin stitched border using some stitched dies from my stash.  To finish, I added an ink blended Easter word die, silver heat embossed sentiment, and some pink gems.

So here was my card from the release where I did a similar layout.  My tip?  Don't throw away those "extras" as they can easily be used on another card sometime!

Hero Arts / My Monthly Hero March Blog Hop / Giveaway

All the fish

Hello and Welcome!
I am so excited to be a part of the My Monthly Hero Blog Hop this month!  Hero Arts is one of my favorite companies so designing with the My Monthly Hero Kits is always an honor!   This month's kit was amazing to work with and I have a few cards to share......let's get started!

This month's kit takes us to an aquarium and all things sea life!  There are so many options for designs from this kit......I had so many ideas but not enough time!  The kit is available for a limited time only - once it's gone, it's gone. Kits begin shipping from Hero Arts on Friday, March 8. You can now subscribe to receive the kit monthly and never miss one!  The kit value is over $70......but only costs $34.99.  Once this kit is gone, it's gone!

The main kit is just INCREDIBLE!  It is a HUGE kit with loads of images and dies to cut everything.  The frame die included makes neat aquarium themed cards!

My husband scuba dives and has swam with the sharks and fed them!  I knew I had to make a card using these images!  I started with a piece of Bristol smooth watercolor paper to which I blended the mini inks Reactive Sea Glass and Reactive Blue Water.  Spritzed some water over the top and blotted with a paper towel.  I die cut the aquarium frame from black cardstock and using this as a guide, stamped the schools of fish and sentiment in black ink.  I stamped my diver and shark with gray ink, die cut, and added them to my scene.  As a final touch, I added some of the blue droplets included in the kit!

Pet Turtle

My second card uses the add-on stamp set called Pet Turtle.  This set is just adorable!!  I did some simple Copic coloring and with using some stencils from my stash, I created a one layer card except for my die cut images.

Stay Golden

My third card uses another adorable add-on set called Fishy Stamp & Cut.  I started creating this CAS card by scoring 5 lines at the bottom of my white notecard.  This offered a place to "ground" my fish bowl image.  I Copic colored my images, added my fishies with foam adhesive, and my white heat embossed sentiment strip.  I just LOVE this sentiment!

**GIVEAWAY**

What's a blog hop without a giveaway?  We are giving away one kit to one blog reader - selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. Giveaway closes Sunday, March 10 at 11:59pm EST, and the winner will be announced the following week on the Hero Arts Blog.  Hero Arts will reimburse if the winner already bought the kit!

Technique Tuesday / Love Lives Here

Love Home

Hello!
Technique Tuesday just released some amazing new stamps and dies for March.  One of these is the Love Home stamps and the adorable Build a Birdhouse Crafting Dies.

Build a Birdhouse Crafting DiesLove Home Stamp Set

These birdhouses......mixing and matching these are so much fun.  Change up the colors, layout, sentiment for a totally different look!  I created my birdhouses in some fun spring colors and colored my sentiment in the same coordinating Copics.  The birdhouses were added to an Essential Stitched Label with foam adhesive and the sentiment centered below.  Keeping this simple, I added my focal piece to a brown polka dot paper with foam adhesive.
