Today is the day! Everything I've shown this week is now available.

I thought I'd share one more "book" card using the Torn Strips Stencil along with the Open Book SugarCut.

I decided to take this set into Halloween. The Torn Strips Stencil was ink blended with a light gray ink. My "Spell" book was die cut and assembled. I used the older Hocus Pocus SugarCut to add the witches hat, the cauldron, and a few stars/bubbles. The sentiment is from Bewitched and worked perfectly for my card!

Sharing an adorable new set called.......Let's Stay Home.

I thought it would be cute to have the light shining on the chair as if the person sitting there is reading. A small area of "light" was masked off and ink blended with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. Then the rest of the background was masked off and ink blended with Broken China Distress Ink on the edges. All the images were Copic colored and die cut using the coordinating Let's Stay Home SugarCut. The stitched lines were done using the Card Front Element Builder #3. The images were added with foam adhesive for some dimension. To ground my scene, the sentiment was stamped at the bottom.

Hero Arts / Winter 2020 Catalog Blog Hop / Giveaways

Hello Winter!

I am so not ready for winter (I'm a summer girl!) but I am excited to share some holiday creations using some of the new items from Hero Arts!

My first card uses the beautiful Snowflake Pattern Cover Plate and while this is not a new product in the catalog, it is new to me!

Distress Inks in Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, Spun Sugar, and Shaded Lilac were ink blended onto two panels. The Snowflake Pattern Cover Plate was die cut out of a thick white glitter cardstock which was so hard to capture in the photo! The Holidays Message Fancy Die was die cut out of the second ink blended panel and then backed with a layer of grey (off set) and then a layer of white card stock for dimension. It really makes the words pop off the card!

My second card uses a new set to the catalog........Stocking Bouquet.

Creating the background was done using Versamark ink and several of the images from the set onto kraft cardstock. My stocking and all its florals were Copic colored and die cut using the coordinating Stocking Bouquet Frame Cuts. After the florals were arranged in my stocking, I added it across a sentiment strip in kraft to look like a mantel. Stickles (clear) were added for a bit of shine!

Today, I am showcasing the beautiful new background called Autumn Background.

The background was white heat embossed onto a white panel. Distress Inks were ink blended heavier in the corners and lighter toward the center. This panel was trimmed and added to a white note card with foam adhesive. A simple "Thanks" die (NEW Thanks word with shadow SugarCut) was done in black with a white shadow along with a white heat embossed sentiment from Everyday Sentiments. A few sparkling clear sequins were added for shine.

Today, I am debuting the new "Hey" addition........Hey Fall. Adorable fall bear set paired with the new Birch Forest SugarCut.

The Birch Forest SugarCut was die cut into a white panel and adhered with foam adhesive to a Squeezed Lemonade and Dried Marigold Distress Ink blended note card. All the images were Copic colored, die cut, and added with foam adhesive. The sentiment fit perfectly underneath the tree stump.
