Reverse Confetti June Creative Hop!

Blog hop2

Welcome to the June Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!  The DT is showcasing some fabulous ways to use Reverse Confetti products for Masculine gifts!  You should have arrived from the Reverse Confetti blog......HERE.

I thought it very fitting since my hubby LOVES craft beer.......to make a quick little gift for Father's Day.  My beer tag was made using the Hanging Out Confetti Cuts with kraft cardstock.  I layered pattern paper, added a stamped diecut circle using the Roundabout stamp set and some stars from Oh My Stars Confetti Cuts

Blog hop

I then recycled a burlap sack (from a gift my friend Stacey Schafer made) and filled it with peanuts.  Because who doesn't like beer and peanuts?  I added a coordinating tag from Tag Me that was embellished with a stamped heart image from Roundabout Additions which I then covered up with 2 star diecuts to keep everything matchy matchy.  :)

Diva Hop2

It's the 5th of the month and time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop! There are two ways to win Verve prizes: comment on the design team's blog hop posts (linked below) to see their take on the inspiration, then go get inky and link up your take on the challenge to be eligible in our prize drawings!

Our June challenge is Eat Me, Drink Me

Are you fueled by coffee, tea or cocoa? Find cupcakes irresistible? Create a card featuring an edible treat or favored beverage!  Use the inspiration graphic as a starting point, or head off in your own direction - just leave us needing a fix of your favorite indulgence!

I couldn't resist inking up this tiny cupcake from Small Packages with white embossing powder on watercolor paper.  After diecutting using the Cupcake Frame Die Set, I used Distress Markers to add some watercolor.  My back panel was done using the same shades of Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, and Cracked Pistachio watercolored randomly.  My sentiment, from Cupcakes, was white heat embossed and Sparkling Clear Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh) were added.

Watercolor Blog Hop with Pretty Pink Posh

Watercolor Blog Hop2

Welcome to the Watercolor Blog Hop with Pretty Pink Posh!  Watercoloring is so HOT right now in papercrafting and I *might* be a little addicted to it!!  ☺  There are so many mediums for watercoloring but my absolute favorite are Distress Inks.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and the "smooshing" technique of Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, and Ripe Persimmon.  Over this, I sprayed some Pure Color Shimmer Mist (from WPlus9).  Oh this technique takes a watercolored panel to a whole other level!!!  With this panel, I diecut a butterfly from Life is Beautiful (Papertrey Ink) and embellished with 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  My butterfly was layered onto a diecut panel from Stitched Duo3 by Pretty Pink Posh.

My panel was layered onto a Distress Ink Splattered card base using the same colors as the butterfly and I mixed in some more of that shimmer spray to keep the shimmer theme going throughout the card.  Finally, 4mm Pumpkin and 4mm Pink Peonies Sequins were added randomly by dropping them and adhering.

I am absolutely loving the watercolor trend.......I carried this over to another baby card using several new products.  I created a watercolor background of pink, blue, and yellow Distress Inks.  I diecut the Baby Word Die from this panel and layered it up for dimension.  I added a frame using the new Embossed Dots Rectangles Dies and added some Circle Banner Dies.  Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added to embellish.
