Mojo Monday

Hi friends! If you visit my blog, then you may know that I have a little love affair with floral stamps. They call my name LOUD....;). So when Verve had their last release, I couldn't resist the new florals! What originally caught my eye about Verve were the beautiful florals and the sentiments specifically the fonts. Certainly not the everyday boring fonts...but fun unique ones. So I thought it only fitting to ink up my new goodies for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch challenge!

I've used the new set, Brighter Days, for my focal piece and sentiment.  Not only did the florals attract me to this set but so did those sentiments!  Ok, I have to confess that I do not like to do angles or tilting of part of my layout but I made it work for this sketch!

Mojo 235

Happy Saturday!  I'm still here and trying to get back in the groove of things following vacation.  I had yesterday off due to Good Friday because my kiddos were out of school.  Well by bedtime, I was kiddo'd out!  I'd had enough of little voices saying, "Mommy!"  I love them dearly but I needed some time to craft and "unwind".  LOL  So last evening, I realized that it was Mojo Monday week!  This sketch was just what I needed to get the mojo flowing again!

I did run to my LSS yesterday to pick up something and found these gorgeous papers by lilybeedesign called Buttercup.  Gorgeous spring colors!!!  I used the sketch and added in a butterfly where there is a flower in the sketch........I guess I had butterflies on the brain since my daughter's softball team just picked their new name last night.........The Green Butterflies!!  One note:  I finally got out one of my punches to use!  It's been FOREVER since I'd used them but this one was just perfect!!

Have a great Saturday!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
{You are such a joy}

Cupcakes and more Cupcakes!

Hi blog friends!  I am enjoying some quiet time in my stamp room while the rest of the house is still sleeping.......shh.....Don't tell but we're skipping church today.  :)  I have a Cupcake card to share today that uses the Cupcake Collection from PTI.  I am loving this set.  I know, I know.....It's been out for a long time (and I've had it since it was released) but I've been wanting to get more use out of some of my older sets.  What a better chance to use it than for a little girl's birthday!

It's kinda hard to see since I covered it up with my focal point but the white cardstock circle is impressed using the Polka Dot IP from PTI.  I think it gives such great texture to this card!  Again I used the awesome paper from Echo Park Springtime collection.  My layout came from the latest Mojo Monday sketch

Did you think my card looked familiar?  Well, it's part of the ensemble I made that I posted yesterday for the Wee Memories challenge for birthdays and parties!  Take a peek at everything together.

{Happy Birthday}
All supplies PTI unless stated.

Autumn Blessings

I'm sharing my next card for the Practical Scrappers card contest.  I was lucky enough to be able to move on to Round 2 because of all of you who voted!  THANK YOU so much!  The voting is the same as last week.  You can vote for 3 cards and vote DAILY!  **Voting for the week ends Oct. 13 at 11:59 CST**

Lots of PTI goodies on here as well as some yummy pattern paper from MME!  If you can believe it, the thing that took me the most time on my card wasn't all the stitching but that bow!  I knew I didn't want a scrunchy bow so I took my Chi flat iron to my seam binding and........whala!  A flat ribbon.  The rules for this round of cards had to be a Fall card using twine.  So I worked my button twine in there with my bow.  I think it really stands out over the deep terracotta colored bow.

My card did have the help of the Mojo Monday sketch for the week.  Love this sketch!  Alright, keeping it short today so the only other thing I ask is for your VOTE!  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

{Autumn Blessings}

At the last minute.....

So I decided to stay indoors today as the temperature today hit over 100 degrees here in Kansas.  Great idea to spend some time in my craft room and keep cool.  So when browsing the challenges, I remembered Mojo Monday ended today!  So here I am at the last minute!

I have been using my Distress Inks soo much lately that I thought it fun to use them here with some Verve goodness!  Using Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, and Mustard Seed, I sponged these over white embossed flowers from Hope Blooms.  I am in LOVE with the results and it's sooo easy to do!!!  I used the Mojo Monday sketch but turned it on its side and placed the elements a bit differently......I hope that's OK as that's what my interpretation of the sketch was!

It's kind of hard to tell (should have used darker ink) but I stamped the friend border strip from Texted Objects on my scallop strip before sewing it to my sponged panel.  What do you think?  I love how the Distress Inks match so many of my PTI colors......here I used my Terracotta Tile ribbon and cardstock.  Ok, that's it for me tonight!!

Did you see the challenge over at Simply Scrapping Crafts?  It's all about embossing.  I think my card qualifies!  hehe

This also was made for the challenge out there over at Moxie Fab where "stamping is the predominent element".........Stamp It! Cards Week Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

Moxie Fab: Tuesday Trigger and Mojo Monday 172

***Edited with better photos (I hope!).  I took them in my new light box!***

Hello friends!  I have been wanting to play along with 2 particular challenges
this week and finally had some time because I MADE time
to participate this morning!  Isn't that how it is sometimes?!

Let's get on to the first challenge:  Moxie Fab Trigger.  OMG.
Isn't this white cake with all it's layered goodness just beautiful?

And let's just pair this gorgeous picture with the Mojo Monday sketch
from Julee this week! !

So here is my interpretation of both challenges.  I LOVE how it turned out!
I used some Shimmer White cardstock from PTI.....that is beautiful stuff.

I used a sentiment from a fairly new Verve stamp set called Text Objects.
This sentiment fit perfectly in the circlular layer of this sketch.
My square layer was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Fairly CAS!

Thanks for stopping by on this "cold" winter day (at least here in Kansas)!!

{Where There is Love}
Stamps:  Text Objects (Verve)
Paper:  Stamper's Select White, Shimmer White (both PTI)
Ink:  Charcoal Pallette
Misc:  Circle Nesties, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Pearls (M's), White Satin Ribbon

OTWC #38

Are you ready for another Off The Wall Craftiness color inspiration?
This week is sponsored by Skipping Stones Design......and they were nice enough to
send us some stamps to use for this challenge!
Check out the colors that Kim put together this week!

For my card, I strayed away from the holiday theme and just took
the colors from this photo.
I used 2 sets from Skipping Stones Design called:
and

There are 3 background stamps in Timeless Textures........I love all of them especially
this musical background.  The music was stamped in charcoal pallette ink
for a softer look to that layer.

I have mentioned how much I love silhouette stamps?  I love how you are able to
stamp your sentiment over them.  I used the sketch from Mojo Monday here and I thought
it was a perfect chance for me to try one of these ribbon flowers.
I sewed a button to the center and placed a pearl in the center of the button.

We would love for you to come link up a card for OTWC challenge this week!
There is a great prize from Skipping Stones Design up for grabs too!
This is the last challenge before Christmas as we will be taking next week off to
celebrate the holidays.
{Happy Birthday}
