Some card sketch cards..........finally!!!!!

I HAVE been doing something these days.....just not posting here!!! I wanted to share a couple of card sketch cards I have done using Heather's Monday card sketches. I think I've said before that if you haven't tried one of these for inspiration are missing out!! Here's one I created for my husbands' birthday in October using the sketch from October 20. I used the Changito baseball monkey.....just love those monkeys!!

This next one was made using Heather's sketch from September 15. I also used those darn cute Changito monkeys again!!!

Now on to a couple of cards NOT using the sketches....This was made for my daughter's birhtday. I used TAC Mimi paper....the colors are just so yummy. The stamp set is from Inkadinkadoo. I have used it sooo many times for birthdays recently!!

This card was made for our 3year old neighbor since he is so into Planet Heros this year. This was a clear set I originally bought at Archiver's quite a while ago. I love how this turned out....FAR OUT!!
Well, I know this is a long post. You know, I may even have more things I've made lately to post too!!

Look at this!!

I wanted to make a different kind of gift for the grandparents this year and after seeing Mischelle's project she did, I knew this was it. It is a frame that you can put a picture between 2 panes of glass. There is no mat except for around the picture that I did myself. Just a little patterned paper and whalaa!! Now you can't really tell from my wonderful picture taking that the picture kinda "floats" there. The hardest part was centering the picture on the glass and getting the glass clean!! This collage feature is just awesome and was made using Shutterfly Studio that is free on website.

Holy cow!!!

It has been sooo long since I have done my own blogging!! But I actually did one of Heather's card sketches (if you haven't done one of these I would highly recommend doing one). Now granted, it was LAST weeks sketch but nevertheless, I did one. Now I didn't use TAC stamps at all but I love how it turned out!!! Enjoy!!

Stamp set: Inkadinkadoo Birthday Cupcake

Saturday, February 2, 2008's over!!

We just had my son's 6 year birthday party at OUR house!! YIKES......twelve 6 year olds running around. He wanted to do Transformers theme this year. We played Search for the Allspark (like a treasure hunt where they had to find the Allspark cube where the goodie bags were) and pin the Transformer picture on the poster. It really was fun for him since we ate his favorite food---PIZZA!! Now Tim and I were creative and made his invite on the computer this year and also put together a Transformer Activity/Coloring book that each guest got to take with them home. Here is a pic of the invite:

Now that the party is over, I can concentrate on my stamping!! I did make this cutie for an awesome group of swappers that I participate in monthly. This is the first thing I've had a chance to make with my new rubba!! I hadn't bought an Easter set for a long time so I thought this one was so cute and versatile since it came with several sayings to use.

I used Bazzill cardstock and versamarked the little flower to the background paper. I used the wonderful scallopped circle punch and punched tiny holes around each scallop. I then popped the matted bunny image with a pop dot. The image was coloring in using aquacolor crayons and a water brush. The flowers of course have stickles in the centers to give them that bling!! Very simple but I think it turned out very nice.

I've had so much fun....

creating these chipboard calendar magnets!! I know I've already posted this project before but I just had to show you the 2 calendars I made for teachers/friends this past Christmas. Now, bear in mind that I did use non-TAC patterned paper but they turned out beautiful!!

My dh was able to get a "sleeve" of coasters from his Miller Distributing client so I could make these calendars!! I first glued a business card magnet on the back (to cover most of the beer logo) with FabriTac glue. Then I glued a piece of patterned paper to the front of the coaster, rounded and sanded the edges, attached a calendar I printed using free software from, attached a floral (one from the floral department that I just pulled apart), and attached a stamped tag raised with popdots. Whalaa!!

These are sooo addictive!! Why don't you try one for yourself and post your creation in the comments.

Now for a card that I made a while back for a swap I participate monthly in. It uses Lilly
Anna cardstock with the Catelynne paper collection. These compliment each other so nicely. If I had the Lilly Anna hardware, well I would have used that too. The coloring was done using prismacolor pencils. This card is all about mixing and matching different things. Another example, is the stamp sets used. The little "twig" is from Deco Designs and the little girl is from Kid Praises. I didn't mention this cardstock, but it is textured with a "washboard" effect. It gives a really neat look.

Drumroll please..............

The new spring/summer TAC catalogue is now here!!! For you scrapbookers out there, this is the one for you!! I absolutely love the new word sets and all those flourishes!!! My new year's resolution (one of them) is to get going with my scrapbooking. There are new paper lines, new word sets, new flourishes, and all those matching embellishments!! Yippee!! So, if you would like to get your hands on one of these new catalogues, please let me know by Monday, Jan. 7. If you order one by this date, the cost will be $5 but after that date, you will have to pay tax/shipping. Or if you would like to host a funshop, let me know that too!!

Well, here it is..........

my Memory Purse!!! I had fun creating this wonderful scrapbook page and have really received a LOT of compliments on it. Like I said in an earlier post, it is really small inside but then don't we all need to downsize our purses a little?

I also am showing off my "bag tag" that I made for the group of swappers I'm in. I made these for seminar thinking that this way when we all got our new TAC bag, we'd be able to tell them apart by the monogram!! The bag tag is made using a baseball card sleeve and a binder ring with coordinating ribbons attached. The monogram was stamped with Alpha Grunge stamp set (my all time favorite) and then cut out. By the way, the drill press works great for punching holes through the baseball card sleeve!!

Well, I am going to go for now and try to create something new to post. Hopefully, it won't be a month before I post again since this is one of my New Years' resolutions!! Here's to a great New Year!!>

Late Christmas Ideas!!

Well...Christmas, 2 Birthdays, and New Years later, it's all finally over!! I wanted to share with you the 2 Christmas cards I sent out this year. They were inspired by JenCarter from whom I received an amazing swap card a couple of months ago which prompted me to buy the Swirly Seasons stamp set. I love this set....I can't wait to use it for my Valentine's Day cards too!! It is such a versatile set. This first one uses the holly, was paper pierced and was lifted off the card by pop dots. I also scallopped the bottom of the card with my 'old' scallopped scissors!! The second card uses JenCarter's idea and I broke out my paper crimper and inked away!! Here is my version of the swap card I received. Enjoy!!

Supplies used:
Stamp sets: Swirly Seasons, Holiday Greetings, Curls and Swirls
Inks: Versamark Ink, Brilliance Sky Blue, Noir Pallette
Bazzill cardstock
Tools: Paper Crimper, Paper piercer, Scallopped scissors, Bone folder
Misc ribbon and Pop Dots
