Just for fun....

Hi!  Just stopping in to share a card "Just for fun" but my real task for today is to attempt to start cleaning my craft room and purging.  Let's see if I get much done!  Please wish me luck.....I'm going to need it!  LOL

I made this at the craft retreat I co-hosted in March.  I used the newly released My Favorite Things "I Knead You" set.  I adore this set and I've used it tons since I've found a new love of using Copics!

For my window background, I did some simple Distress Ink blending.  I used the Mama Elephant Basic Set: Creative Cuts for my stitched and scallop layers.  This set is a must have!

Just for fun with Bear Hugs and some amazing women!

Hi everyone!  I just returned from a WONDERFUL weekend of crafty time with 15 of the most amazing women that I can call friends at a house that inspires you the minute you walk through the door.  The ladies that traveled from near and far can attest.....the house is just AMAZING!!  Maybe it's the house or just the time being together......either way, I loved it!

I shared a sneak of this card over on my Instagram page this morning.  I have been enjoying my Copics so much the past few months (Jen Carter......I am officially saying I love them!  You have given me so much feedback and I treasure it!)  

I had time this past weekend to really sit back and CREATE for ME for FUN.  It was really relaxing and brought me back to why I started cardmaking so many years ago.  I made it a point to use stamp sets I don't own but have been on my Wish List......there are many and this one from Mama Elephant is one of them!  BEAR HUGS.  

I'm not going to give a supply list as that would take the fun out of this post.  But this card is for all my crafty friends who made the trip this past weekend and made me feel so loved.  Thank you ladies!

I'm in love.....

Have you seen the new release over at Simon Says Stamp?  There are some amazing new dies, stamps, and stencils!!  One of my favorites BY FAR is this set that was collaborated with Mama Elephant called Summer Garden.  

This set has beautiful blooms and leaves not to mention the FONT of the sentiments......that's why I'm in love  :)  It also has a matching set of dies.  Here I've done some stamping using simple masking for a quick thinking of you card.  The flower centers are colored with the clear Wink of Stella....sure wish this was picked up when photographing!

I'm very excited to help Mama Elephant celebrate their FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!  I've used the newest scene building set called Toy Shop.  It's just adorable!  I've used it here for a "sweet" birthday card......using the cupcake stand and lollipop images.  I've stamped my images with white ink and then colored in areas with my Copics (the white ink "resists" the Copic ink).  My rooftop looks more watercolored as I added Wink of Stella over my coloring.

ME August Photo Inspiration Challenge

 

I knew I wanted to play along with the Mama Elephant Inspiration Challenge as soon as it was posted......Well, it's the last day and here I am! 

 

I was inspired by the black stripes and the "love" theme from the photo.  I've used Trifecta and stamped the arrow border in the blackest black ink.....Onyx Black Versafine.  I stamped my frame and die cut the center out, backed it with yellow cardstock, and popped the whole panel with foam tape.  My sentiment was stamped on vellum with StazOn.

ME Sketch Challenge 02

Hi everyone!  Have I ever mentioned that I am a late night stamper?  Well, I am and right now, I should totally be in bed because I work tomorrow!  (at 0630)  Anyway, I created this card using the sketch from Mama Elephant.  I kinda have a crush on these stamps........and who wouldn't? 

 

My card uses the sketch but I rotated it and kept the banners on the same side.  You can still see it there, right?  :)
