As soon as I saw City Girls Spring Smiles, I loved the rainbow options of this set!  Rainbows are one of my favorite things!  All three of my cards are clean and simple and very easy to reproduce!

My first card uses the rainbow to stamp out a background of traditional colors with a stamped sentiment from this set along with a masked off portion of another sentiment.  The panel was trimmed down and added to a white notecard with foam adhesive.  This card could be for a birthday, celebration, or just because!

Hello

My second card uses the rainbow again in traditional colors but keeping it extremely clean and simple.  At the ends of each "bow", the sentiment 'HELLO', from Wildflower Bouquet Builder, was stamped in black ink.

My last card simply focuses on a single rainbow with a large 'thanks' sentiment, from Peony Notes Bundle, in bold black ink.

Thanks

Pink Peonies

Hello and Welcome!
The Ton is celebrating their first washi tape release with two new washi tapes! There are some free gifts with purchase promotions ongoing. Head over to The Ton Stamps' blog for more details of this amazing blog hop!

The Washi Tape debuting today is a representation of some of Effie's watercolor work!  Wildflowers and Pink Peonies are great staples to make a quick and easy card.  The rose gold foiling is GORGEOUS!!

I layered some of the Pink Peonies Washi Tape over a panel of white cardstock.  My sentiment is from Seriously Amazing Sentiments and was rose gold heat embossed onto a vellum strip.  To finish, I added a smaller coordinating sentiment strip along with some Espresso gems.

Wildflowers

My second card uses the Wildflowers Washi Tape.  The colors in this are amazing and remind me of spring!  (wish that it would come soon here in Kansas!)

This one I layered the Wildflowers Washi Tape over a white panel, trimmed down, and added it with foam adhesive to a mint color of cardsock.  I added a stamped vellum sentiment strip and some clear gems.  (sentiment is from Peony Notes Bundle)

The Ton's 4th Anniversary Blog Hop - Day 2

Cosmos

Welcome!  I am so honored to be designing alongside all the Design Team and huge list of Special Guests for The Ton's 4th Anniversary!  Some amazing and unique new stamps are being released for the anniversary release!

The Ton has AMAZING floral stamps.  I was excited to see the Today's Cosmos flowers in the new release.  Some of my favorite flowers!  Coloring these using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers was effortless.  I white heat embossed, colored the out lines of the petals, and filled in color with a water brush.  I just love the effect!  All the flowers and leaves were fussy cut with scissors.

For my background I masked off an area and ink blended Mustard Seed Distress Ink with my ink blending brushes.  I stamped my sentiment with bold black ink, added my flowers, and some gems.

Hustle and Grind2

Next up, I have a CAS card using Hustle and Grind which is a huge sentiment set.  I went rainbow colors with the triangle grouping of stamps included in this set.  So easy and for dimension, I added my stamped sentiment with foam adhesive.

The Ton’s Spring 2018 Release Blog Hop

Heritage Rose

Hi there!  I'm excited to join The Ton Stamps for their Spring Release Blog Hop!

The Ton has 14 new stamps, coordinating dies and 5 stand alone dies for their new Spring 2018 Release which includes up to two free gifts with purchases (GWP). For more information on The Ton’s incentive gifts, head over to The Ton’s blog. New release products can be purchased now and all new release orders will begin to ship on Monday, April 9.

My first project features the Large Florals:  Heritage Rose.  This is a beautiful large layering rose with leaves.  The layers line up so easily.  I've used the Peony Pinks Couture Color Inks for the three layers of my rose and the Pewter Couture Color Inks for my leaves.  I wanted to have the rose be the center of attention so I used gray for the leaves.  I love how it turned out.  For the background, I've stenciled some polka dots using Crystal Pewter Dye Ink and stamped a sentiment from Peony Notes B (previously released).

Beautiful Bettas

This next project has a bit of nostalgia for me.  Growing up, we always had a fish tank and bettas.  I remember watching them when I was younger.....how their tails flowed in the water with their rich colors.  Beautiful Bettas is a gorgeous layering set with three bettas, greenery, and some sentiments.

I started by stamping my greenery with the Garden Couture Color Inks.  Using the lightest ink (Soft Garden), dabbing ink off, and stamping.  I then added some shading by selectively inking with the Bright Fern Ink.  For my blue betta, I used the Blue Couture Color Inks and for my orange betta, I used the Coral Couture Color Inks.  I layered my trimmed panel onto a coordinating panel of blue cardstock and added a thin sentiment with foam adhesive.

The Ton’s 3rd Anniversary Release Blog Hop

Hello!

I am starting things off with the Peony Notes A, B, C stamps.  They are GORGEOUS!  The details in the flowers are incredible and they include many bold sentiments along with supporting sentiments!  I could have made cards for hours with this set!

I started with creating the purple Peony card (ya know it's the Pantone color, right?).  I used the Peony border in shades of purple.  The sentiment is also from this set and was stamped in bold Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Peony Notes2

The second card using Peony Notes A, B, C used the Peony border in shades of orange.  After stamping one side of my white cardstock panel, I turned it over and stamped the border on the other edge to fill up my panel.  I love love love this!  The sentiment for this card is from Seriously Amazing and it is seriously AMAZING stamped in Versafine Onyx Black!

Timeless Peonies

My next cards use the new set Timeless Peonies.  This set comes with a full background stamp where you "fill in" the spaces with the Peonies.  I wanted to create some CAS one layer cards using this set.

I created a pink version and a blue version.  Both cards were stamped using my Mini Misti.  This tool made making 2 identical cards a breeze!  The simple sentiments come from Peony Notes and again are stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

The Ton’s Fall 2017 Release Blog Hop

Poinsettia2

Hello and Welcome to the Fall Release for The Ton Stamps!
I'm so honored to be included in the hop today!  I adore The Ton's floral stamps and their fall/holiday collection is no different!

The Ton has 24 new stamps, coordinating dies and 6 Couture Mixes for their new Fall 2017 Release which includes up to three free gifts with purchases. For more information on The Ton’s incentive gifts, head over to The Ton’s blog. All new release products are available now!

I started out with the gorgeous Holiday Love Poinsettia.  Wow is all I can say!  The image in this set is such a perfect size for the focal point of a card.

I've white heat embossed the image onto Bristol Smooth watercolor paper.  I had fun watercoloring using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers for this deep poinsettia color.  I used Deep Red, Wine Red, and Carmine Red.  For the leaves I used Mid Green and Olive Green.  To highlight my image, I watercolored around the perimeter of the poinsettia with watered down Distress Oxide ink in Broken China.  It gives the most perfect shade of blue!  (the photo makes it lighter than in real life)  I stamped my greeting in Versafine Onyx Black ink and did some gold flicks of Heidi Swapp Color Shine.  My panel was trimmed, layered onto a pink panel, and a strip of black/white pattern paper adhered down the left side.  This card is essentially one layer and will be perfect for mailing this holiday season!

Poinsettia

Next, I am changing gears a bit and am using the Magnificent Magnolias stamp set.  I've stamped the largest magnolia image onto Bristol Smooth watercolor paper both in the left lower and upper right corner with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I've used this ink because it is very good with watercolor!

Magnolia

Using watered down Distress Oxide inks in Worn Lipstick and Peeled Paint, I loosely colored in the images, letting the panel dry completely in between layers.  This is key in achieving this look.  After letting my panel dry, I splattered some black ink over my colored images.  My sentiment was white heat embossed onto a thin strip of black cardstock and trimmed at an angle.  My sentiment was adhered with foam adhesive over a strip of silver glitter cardstock and a few sparkling clear confetti were adhered.
