Shore do love you!

So have you ever had some unfinished cards left on your desk?  Well, this card has been on my desk for quite a while until I saw the current sketch over at Retro Sketches.

After a bit of altering my pieces and changing some things up, I came up with this card and I love it better than where it was headed!  ha!  Using some Reverse Confetti stamps:  So Stripey and Happy Harbor.  This sketch is perfect for highlighting a particular stamp!!  Then I added in the gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as accents to tie the design together!

Winter Wishes

A quick card using the current sketch over at Retro Sketches.  I forget to make square cards........so when I saw this sketch, I thought I'd give it a try!

Using Christmas in the Air and Glad Tidings from Verve this card came together very easy since I followed the sketch to the T!  :)  I've also used the Banner Bundle Die Set by using the partial cutting technique to make my banner longer!

Retro Sketches meets Play Date Cafe

Hi everyone!  The weekend sure flew fast.......had some warmer weather which was wonderful!  At softball practice yesterday, my daughter could actually wear shorts and short sleeves!!!  That's a first!!!

Today I have a card I whipped up using the sketch from Retro Sketches and the color story from The Play Date Cafe this week!  I haven't played with either of these challenges in a long time.  Using Verve's Bloom & Grow set, I stamped the blooms in the brightest pink and yellow I had and then die cut them using the coordinating dies HERE and HERE

The stripes on the side is a strip of Washi......thought I'd better stop hoarding and use some!

Retro Sketches #56

Today, I am heading to help my dad load up years and years of his and my mom's life.  The last 8 years have been HARD......no doubt.  Every time we go through boxes or I decide to bring something home that was hers, I get a little teary-eyed.  Not of sadness but of wonder how our lives would be different right now if she were still here.  My mom was an amazing woman......anyone that knew her would tell you this.  So today, I'm going to spend some time with my memories before they go to auction next week.  I know today will be HARD but my mom taught me well.  I will get through this just as I have the last 8 years.

Anyway, you did not come here for that.........and I really don't think I've blogged about something so personal but hey, it's what's on my mind today.  :)

My card today uses the current Retro Sketches sketch which I just knew I had to make time to play along with this one!  I love this sketch so much and it's already been filed away for later use.  I've used Bloom & Grow and Making a Statement both from Verve......Verve's stamps have some of the best inspirational sentiments......like the one today!

Make a difference

For my blooms, I used the fun Loopy Blooms die that coordinates with Making a Statement.

Thank you all so much for sharing part of your day with me!

MSS Market Mini Release Blog Hop

****Please scroll down for my last Paper Doll Challenge****

I am super excited for you all today!
is featuring the stamps previously only available from the Market Fresh Kits (no longer available)!  You all asked and you all will receive!
I love love these mini stamp sets and now that you can order them, I know you will too!
Did you see the price??  :)

You should have arrived from the Market Street Stamps Blog.  Please join us for the blog hop for inspiration using these sets and for the chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the MSS store!

I chose to work with the Berry Sweet stamp set and I paired it with some fab paper from Crate Paper.
I was lucky enough to snag one of the kits that this stamp originally came with and this kit was oozing sweetness!

Berry Sweet

I've used the current sketch over at Retro Sketches for this one.  I stamped my berry image with Ripe Avocado ink and then over stamped the image with Loopy Polkas background stamp.  Then I paper pieced the strawberries popping up the larger one for dimension.  I thought it was time to pull out my sewing machine again.......I've missed it!  I think the simple stitched border was all it
needed to jazz it up!  Oh and did you notice the border?  Its a border punch!  I finally pulled out one of my MANY and used it!  Thanks to my friend Christina for the inspiration!

I'd love to hear what you think of these stamps!
Thank you sweet friends for always being a listening ear here on my blog!  Have a wonderful day!
