I've used the new Cover Up Die: Leaf Pattern.  OH MY.  This die is fabulous.....here we go.  I die cut my Leaf Pattern die and I've used it for a stencil to use with my Distress Inks.  I then lifted my stencil and had this beautiful pattern on my cardstock.  I then used some Smooch Spritz all over the pattern.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge: Curtain Call

Hi everyone!  Today the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge team is pairing up with the Curtain Call team to bring you a shared challenge for this week!  Here is the Curtain Call inspiration photo for the challenge:

Since this week is sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, I've used a set called Christmas Carols.  What I took from this inspiration photo was the earthy elements and colors of kraft and gold.
I've stamped my "flower" image twice turning it the second time to give it the look of a poinsettia.....this was all done using Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink.  This ink is AMAZING both with its coverage and shimmer!!!  A few sequins topped with Gold Liquid Pearls finish it off!

Peace on Earth3

Here is another view to hopefully capture the shimmer of the Delicata Golden Glitz ink!

Star It! Blog Hop & Giveaway

Welcome to the Star It! Blog Hop & Giveaway!!!
You should have arrived from my friend Jennifer Ingle's blog.  If not, start back at the beginning HERE at Nina's blog.

I'm here today sharing projects using some great stamps that my friend Nina Yang of Waffle Flower Paper Crafts designed for Avery Elle!  We all are using the stamps Simply Tags: Christmas along with the dies.  Thanks Nina for sharing your designs!!!

I thought it would be fun to use a non-traditional somewhat retro color scheme for my cards today.  I sure wish you could see the star as I have coated it with a layer of coarse Martha Stewart glitter!

Merry Christmas

Here's a closeup of the focal point:

Here's my second card using the same color scheme.  For this card, I thought it would be fun to create my own wreath using the stamps in this set!  Again.....a retro feel with the Wonky Rectangle die as a layer!!!  I may go back in and add some stickles here and there.....just because :)

for you

Now, there is a giveaway too!  There will be 4 random winners (one for each stamp/die listed) drawn from comments left on all of our blogs.  The winners will be announced on Nina's blog on the 18th.

Gift card idea...

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!  I'm on a long weekend and it's been so nice!!!
I have a quick and easy way to dress up a kraft bag using some Reverse Confetti stamps and paired them with goodies from Timeless Twine by Bella Creationz!!

I don't know about you but I give lots of gift cards for Christmas.  Instead of a store bought gift card envelope or box, I decided to create something using a small kraft sack from Bella Creationz.

I've used a small kraft bag (from Timeless Twine) and cut off the top to make it shorter.  I've used one of the stripe stamps from So Stripey and stamped it in white directly on the bag.  Then, I die cut 2 of the Sweet Treat Tents, trimmed down, and adhered them to my bag.  Embellished the front, added a vellum tag using a sentiment from Tinsel 'N Trim, and added a big bow using Cherry Red Twine from Timeless Twine!!  This is a perfect little bag to slip a gift card into!!!

Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the REVERSE CONFETTI New Release Blog hop! Could it be November already? With this month’s new release from REVERSE CONFETTI, it’ll be a snap to get a jump start on those holiday cards and projects (yep, Christmas is just around the corner!). Lucky for you, it’s the 8th of the month, and we’ve got some inspiration to get you going with that very thing! Come and hop along with the Confetti Crew as we share some creative ideas using all the new products from REVERSE CONFETTI, including five new trendy stamp sets and introducing CONFETTI CUTS. That’s right, we now carry steel dies, and there are 2 sets to choose from this month. Along with the Confetti Crew and our new CHALLENGE Crew, we’ve also invited some extra friends to join in on the action! Let’s go!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from DanielaDobson’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets!

I had a little fun creating my own holiday gingham pattern with the stripes from So Stripey and adding in a sentiment from Bring on the Merry with VELLUM.  Sorry friends.....I just can't seem to put the vellum down!!!  I can remember a time when vellum was hot and then it wasn't.......I'm hoping it's back!!  Vellum has found its way onto lots of my projects lately!

I layered my gingham panel over a strip of silver Glitzy Glitter cardstock by DCWV.  This paper is AMAZING!!!  I've never felt a glitter cardstock before that is smooth!  {swoon!}  To keep the glitz and homespun feeling going, I stitched my buttons with silver metallic thread.

Merry Christmas

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Leigh Penner’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog

A few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…
November’s SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY is open for you to play along. Click HERE for a chance to win. AND, be on the lookout for a NEW COLOR challenge we will be introducing on November 16th and another way to win!

Celebrate the creative side of you!
