Rainbows and Clouds

I am so excited to finally be able to share this card with you using the newest Rainbow and Cloud dies from
Lil' Inker Designs!  I have the pinwheel die too and LOVE it!  Laura is such a sweetheart......and she ships super fast!  Let's get on with the card!

I went for a more pastel approach with this set.  You have got to check out the stamp set that you get when you order the dies!  The variety of sentiments and that font??  Love it!  Now did you notice that the clouds are perforated for that extra special touch?  I love that.  I have several cloud dies and these by far are my favorite!

Next up, I wanted to stamp some of those clouds to make my own paper.  So I die cut some clouds out of fun foam and stamped away with my Fresh Snow ink!  Even the perforations showed up!

Now, this next picture has NOTHING to do with cardmaking except it's why I was gone over the weekend and didn't get any stamping done!  My husband works for 94.5 Country and they were the title sponsor of the Country Stampede this year!  Brad Paisley was the headliner Saturday night along with Blake Shelton!  Both were unbelievably awesome!!  Yes, this is a picture my husband took.  We were able to get close to the stage that extended into the crowd and were literally only feet from him!

Now this next picture I took as I got to sit ON stage with Lady Antebellum!!!  What a fun time that was!  It wasn't the best sound sitting up there but to be up close like that while they perform?  Priceless.  They were the headliner for Friday night.

Well, that's it for me today!  Have a great one!

{Congratulations}

OTWC #56

Since this weeks marks the official beginning of summer, this Off The Wall Craftiness challenge will certainly get your inspiration flowing for those BBQ's/picnics and the 4th of July celebrations!  Take a look at the wonderful inspiration photo Kim has for you this week:

I just so happen to LOVE the 4th of July celebrations and what this day means to all of us=freedom.  So let's celebrate!  This year we will be celebrating most of our holiday weekend at a baseball tourney in KC for my son's team.  Go Bulldogs!

Do you see those fun new little embellishments?  They are handmade by me!  This week's sponsor, MoldMuse, was so very kind and sent molds to the DT to work with!  Thank you!  I chose to use polymer clay for my flower.  These are super easy to make!!

Our sponsor this week is another new sponsor.....MoldMuse!  Oh goodness, these molds are addictive!  I think the possibilities are endless!  My friend Jen even has made rings using these little mold treasures!  I found a video tutorial online and went to work making my own flowers.  Have you seen the cost of these pre-made ones in the scrapbook stores??  Unbelievable!!  Mine were made for literally pennies AND you can make them in any color!!  This week's winner will get a $15 gift certificate from MoldMuse.

CAS-ual Fridays CFC7 meets Father's Day--Take 2

Hello again!  I told you I would be back with another CAS-ual Fridays color block challenge!  This time I'm sharing the card for my FIL.  He watches TV.........a LOT!  So I thought it fitting to use more Paper Smooches....Boob Tubes!  hehe.  Sorry, I just have to chuckle everytime I say or write that!

Now, I could have added so much more to my cards but knowing I was submitting them to CAS-ual Fridays, I had to leave well enough alone.  :)

CAS-ual Fridays CFC7 meets Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to everyone!  I'm a little late in posting this but work has kept me busy today!  I love being a nurse but I do NOT like call at all!  Poo!  This is my first time playing along with CAS-ual Fridays!  Guess what?  Both of my cards for Father's Day uses the challenge so check back tomorrow for my other card!

Today's card I'm sharing is for my dad.  He is a woodworker, cabinetmaker, all around handyman.  There isn't anything he can't fix or make.  I did have the opportunity to share a part of his day with him today in between my work calls.  Happy Father's Day Dad!

I thought it was appropriate to use my woodgrain IP to add some texture to his card with the color blocking challenge.  Look here.......I even used some of my coveted wood PTI buttons!  Boy I hoard these things!!!  I'm keeping this quick and short!  Come back tomorrow for my FIL card!

Lawnscaping Challenge #11: CAS

This is the first time I've played along with the Lawnscaping Challenge.  The challenge:  CAS using at least one Lawn Fawn product.  I thought this would give me a chance to ink up these sets again!

I have co-worker, actually she's my boss, that is really going through a hard time.  I thought these cards would cheer her up during her time off work.  I used some bright and cheery pattern paper from the MME Lime Twist collection:  Happy Go Lucky.  I just LOVE these little 6x6 paper pads.  These papers are double sided and are so pretty for paper piecing!

This first card uses the little lamp from the How Delightful set.  My lamp base was off stamped (first in True Black) and so it gave it that speckled look.  I did highlight a few of the parts of the lamp with my black Copic for detail.

My second card uses the bird from Fly Free.  I paper pieced and added in some hills cut free hand with more yummy pattern paper.  I just love how all the patterns coordinate!

Now for both of my cards, the size is 3 x 5 1/2.........I thought I would try something different with the size but still be A2 size for the envie.  I also used my Signo white pen to add some faux stitching.  I thought it kinda went with the whole whimsy touch of these cards.  That's all for today!

OTWC #55

It's been a busy week here on the blog but now I have this week's Off The Wall Craftiness challenge!  This week we do have a bit of a different spin on things.......We have a new sponsor:  Unkamen Supplies!  You have got to go check out their beautiful chainmaille jewelry kits!!  Ralph from Unkamen Supplies graciously offered up a kit to the DT to make and showcase on our blogs for this weeks challenge.

Here is the inspiration photo for this week.

The bracelet I chose has some color and doesn't exactly match the colors this week so I chose to make a box that IF I were to give this as a gift, I could easily package it up!  (This baby is not going anywhere but on my arm this weekend at a wedding!)  This is a mini pizza box.....have always wanted to make one.  You can google instructions or go to SplitcoastStampers.  They have tutorials and videos for everything!

Now I realized after I took my photos that I didn't take one of the box OPEN.  Oh well.  :)  I did embellish my belly band and this helps to keep the box closed.  I also made a bigger box to hold a gift card for the wedding we are going to this weekend.  (I'll show that later on another post)  This box is 3 x 3 and perfect for jewelry.

I just think this color is fantastic!  I have lots of summery things that I can wear this with........of all jewelry, I love bracelets the most!  Now, let's talk about how easy this was.  It took me less than an hour to assemble this bracelet and Ralph sends you everything in the kit to make it!  Customer Service?  Top Notch!

We would love to hear what you think of our new sponsor.......the winner this week gets a Gift Certificate to Unkamen Supplies Etsy store!  (This link takes you to the kits available......just gorgeous!)

{Congrats}

Wilson Designs Release Day!

Tonight is the night!!  I will be sharing more inspiration using the TWO new sets releasing tonight from

First let's show you the sets.....wanna see?  Introducing:

Baby Rock

Teeny Bikini

So the image from Baby Rock that we were holding back was that graphic baby image.  Look here how I've used it......more of a soft subtle use.  Adding in some stitching for that quilted look and one button.  I know I know, you are supposed to put things in 3's but it just didn't look right and one did!

Not sure if you can see it here or not but I did score a frame around my raised block panel. CAS!

And now for the cute cute image that we are showing today from Teeny Bikini.......this adorable bus!!  Eek!  I love it!  Here I went with a fun color combination of orange and pink.  I think it works well with this image.  I also used the peace heart from Everything's Owlright to stamp my background.

I wanted to ground my bus and so I messy stitched a couple of lines.  Kinda fun effect and my first time doing this!  I think I did mention too that this font is just FUN and I LOVE it!  This is my favorite sentiment from this set.  Life is good.....it is isn't it?

Whew!  That was fun!  Seriously, I really enjoyed working with this month's stamps.....Kim's designs are fresh and unique.  Now you need to hop on over to the other DT blogs for even more inspiration with the new stamps for June!  Remember, the first person to order will receive a set from next month's release for free!  I love hearing your feedback and reading your comments and so appreciate the time you spend doing it!  Thanks to you my blog friends!
