MFT & Friends February Release

Mice Day2 (1)

I'm joining the MFT February release and the rest of the Design Team!
It's time to CELEBRATE!!

There is a new Birdie Brown set called Mice Day to Celebrate.  Can you say adorable??
I created a CAS scene by masking off a circular area and blending Broken China Distress Ink.  The panel was cut with the Stitched Rectangle Stax.  The sentiment was stamped at the bottom to ground my images.  The mouse and stack of crates were added with foam adhesive over some stamped and non-colored balloons.  The cute little banner colored in rainbow colors was added to the corner of the panel.  This whole panel was added to a Red Hot panel of cardstock and added to a white notecard.

This card features the Balloon Besties and I've paired it with the Grass Stencil and Rolling Clouds Stencil.  This panel was die cut with the Stitched Rectangle Stax.  One simple image was Copic colored and added with foam adhesive to take center stage.  The sentiment (which I love!) was stamped directly below.

This last card features the Balloon Bouquet stamps and coordinating dies.  The single balloon die was used to die cut a rainbow of balloons and then paper pieced into the balloon image, some with foam adhesive.  The white and black panels were die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Stax.  The sentiment was stamped onto an Elegant Folded Banner Die.  Once everything was adhered, a few clear gems were added.

MFT & Friends November Release

Pandas at Play

I'm joining the fun with the MFT November release and the rest of the Design Team!

I could not resist the adorable Pandas at Play.  You can create endless scenes with these cute bears.

I created a cool winter sky by ink blending Dusty Concord Distress Ink over the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil.  I used dimension on the upper and lower panels to create depth for my clouds and background.  Images were Copic colored and die cut using the coordinating dies.

MFT and Friends / New Release!

I mean it.

Hello!
Have you been following along with the My Favorite Things release this month?  It's a GOOD one!  I am so excited to be sharing some new release inspiration today and later this week along with the rest of the MFT team!

Want a more simple card?  I've used the Free with $60 gift for this month.  Done in white with a silver glitter heart, it was layered over a Stitched Rectangle with a Fishtail Flag Trio for the sentiment from Essential Sentiments.  The rectangle was layered over a piece of Black and White pattern paper.  This is a perfect card for my husband!

Pups and Kisses

One more card to share using the Lots of Love Die-namics

I have die cut the Lots of Love out of Electric Red cardstock several times and adhered together.  It was added onto a white note card that was die cut using the Stitched Strip Die-namics (sadly discontinued!).  I thought that little bit of texture was just perfect!  I kept this simple and added one of the adorable dogs from Pups & Kisses.  The tiny heart stamp on the envelope is one from an "old" MFT set.

I have been on a retro kick lately so please forgive me if you are tired of these colors but I am not!  :)

My first card uses the new Peace Love Joy Stencil and masking off each row and ink blending several colors of Distress Inks (Peeled Paint, Festive Berries, Worn Lipstick, Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean).  Then I thought it would be fun to add in a snow globe scene with the adorable snowman from SnowGlobe Die-namics.

Joy

My second card is super clean and simple and one layer!  I stamped the wreath image from Joy Wreath in several colors of green inks, adding more if I wanted more depth.  I stamped the berries in red ink.  The word "JOY" was black heat embossed in the center to add some texture.  The panel was scored 4 times at the top and bottom.  Once this panel was adhered, red stickles were added to all the berries.  It's so glittery in person!

MFT & Friends / April Release

Sweet Spring Friends2

Hello!  I am joining the My Favorite Things team for this month's MFT & Friends feature on release day!  MFT always has an amazing release.  Have you seen it?  Make sure to visit the MFT blog for all the details and the amazing inspiration from the DT and guests!

I couldn't resist creating with the adorable Sweet Spring Friends.  Little critters and friends......you can't go wrong!

I ink blended a background with Broken China Distress Ink and over top, ink blended the Mini Clouds Stencil.  To ground my images, I used the FREE w/ $60 Die-namics......Stitched Ric Rac Die-namic in shades of Gumdrop Green and Green Room MFT cardstock.  My images were Copic colored, die cut, and added to my scene with foam adhesive.  To finish my card, I added a frame I created using the Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-namics and a sentiment using the new Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics.  This set is amazing and allows you to create all sorts of sentiment flags!

My Favorite Things / Wednesday Sketch Challenge #395

Sketch 395_1

Hello!  I am excited but sad as this week is my last post as the Guest Designer for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge!

This week's sketch was perfect to create a little "scene" with the adorable lion from Safari Friends.  I created my circle frame using the Wonky Stitched Circles.  I layered my frame over a background inked with Distress Inks for a sunset sky.  I selectively inked up my sentiment so that it could be white heat embossed on two lines.

My Favorite Things / Wednesday Sketch Challenge #394

Sketch 394

Hello!  I am excited to be back this week as the Guest Designer for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge!

The new Die-namics Gift Shaker and Frame was perfect to use for this week's sketch.  It offered a place to shake things up!  I added some white toppings from Queen & Co. to the windows.  To embellish my window, I added a stamped/die cut Martini glass and olive from Martini Time.  This sentiment is perfect for who I'm sending this card to!  Sentiment is from the new Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings.  My panel was layered over black/white striped paper from the Black & White Basics 6x6 paper pad.

My Favorite Things / MFT & Friends

MFT & Friends

Hello!  I am joining My Favorite Things as a friend in their MFT & Friends series.  It gives more opportunity to share more inspiration using the newest release from MFT.  Make sure to check out the MFT & Friends blog post HERE for all the details and inspiration from other friends and the MFT Design Team!

I never have enough BIRTHDAY cards on hand.  What about you?  This release has so many products to use to help celebrate that special birthday.

I LOVE the Happy Birthday Block Die-namics for a bold message.  This die has SO many ways it can be used whether it's layered over watercolor, inlay, negative use, letters alone, etc.  The list goes on!  I've used the negative over some rainbow striped pattern paper from Party Patterns 6x6 Paper Pad.  This gives such a bold look with both the black and the rainbow underneath.  To finish, I added 2 sentiment stripes stamped from the Yay for You stamp set with foam adhesive.

My Favorite Things / Wednesday Sketch Challenge #393

Sketch 393

Hello!  I am excited to be back this week as the Guest Designer for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge!

This week's sketch is very CAS and really had me putting on my thinking cap!  In the end, I did take the liberty to add balloon elements to my card.

Using the new Happy Birthday Balloon Trio Die-namics, I die cut the sentiment portion out of Black Licorice cardstock and paper pieced the letters back in rainbow fashion using Red Hot, Orange Fizz, Banana Split, Green Room, Blu Raspberry, and Grape Jelly cardstocks.  I added 3 die cut balloons that were each clear heat embossed with a star stamp from Happy Birthday to You.

My 'Favorite Things / Wednesday Sketch Challenge #392

Sketch 392

Hello!  I am excited to share that I am the Guest Designer for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge this month!  I adore MFT products so getting to feature them for the sketch challenge makes me so happy!

I created my scene with lots of white space along with Distress Ink blended sky.  Using the Seaside Seagulls stamps and dies, I copic colored two seagulls in shades of gray.  To create my 'v' portion of the sketch, I've used the Die-namics Stitched Square Frames.  I just adhered to my ink blended panel and trimmed off the excess!  A white heat embossed sentiment onto a black strip of cardstock was added below the seagulls along with the kraft strip (that kind of reminds me of a dock).
