Reverse Confetti / Countdown to Confetti Day 3

 

Hello!

It's time for Day 3 of the July release from Reverse Confetti!  We welcome 7 new stamp sets and 8 new Confetti Cuts (THREE new Cover Plates)!

Stained Glass Butterflies is a bold outlined set of gorgeous images.  

I decided to use the florals for a Congrats card.

I started by using the Cross Tiles Cover Panel as an impression plate for a background.  I love using this technique because it give a totally different look (more subtle) than an actual die cut panel.  

The images were very loosely Copic colored and die cut.  They were arranged over my impressed note card and adhered.  The sentiment, from Best Sentiments, was stamped on a white tag from Three Tags which was adhered using foam adhesive and tied off with black twine.

Reverse Confetti / Countdown to Confetti Day 2

 

Hello!

It's time for Day 2 of the July release from Reverse Confetti!   We have 7 new stamp sets and 8 new Confetti Cuts (THREE new Cover Plates)!

My first card uses the ADORABLE Rain or Shine.  (of course, illustrated by Dawn Machell)

I would normally do traditional rainbow with bright bold colors but I decided to go pastel!  My background was created with ink blending Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks over a Stitched Rays Cover Panel.

I created my scene with almost every image from this set!  The cloud dies are from the new Cloudy Day Cover Panel.  I added in all my Copic colored images, some with foam adhesive and some not.  LOVE the bold sentiment at the top with a complimentary one at the bottom!

Next up is a "mini" card using the set Snail Mail.

I created a mini envelope using the Mini Envelope Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers.  The envelope measures 4x4 and it was embellished with stamps from the Snail Mail set.  For my mini card, I used the Stitched Squares Confetti Cuts.  

This card fits perfectly inside this envie!  Two sizes of squares were adhered together after ink blending Broken China and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.  These squares were adhered to a 3 3/8" note card.  The Copic colored images were adhered using foam adhesive.

My first project uses the new Multi Step Cacti.  I had so much fun stamping cacti that I didn't know what card I would use for today!

On a white note card, the solid circle from the new set, Background Builder was stamped in Iced Aqua Reverse Confetti Ink several times.  Next, the dotted circle was off set and stamped with black ink over the solid circles.  I added all my cacti to the circles with foam adhesive along with the pots which were Copic colored.  To finish, a sentiment from This Says It All was stamped in black ink.

My first thoughts on this Background Builder stamps was to use it and make a watermelon pattern!

The solid line stamp was done in Flamingo and Lime Green Reverse Confetti Inks adding in the dotted line stamp in black for the "seeds".  A simple stamped sentiment from, This Says It All, was stamped in black ink.  This panel was added to a white note card with a layer of foam adhesive.

Celebrate Us is a layering floral set that is perfect for CAS cards!  I created these in no time!  I paired the florals with the Gradient Stripes Die from Altenew which I used as an impression plate for less bulk for my cards.  All inks were Altenew (my favorite layering inks!)

I'm going to start with the lower right because that's my favorite of the bunch.  This is a fabulous retro stencil included in the kit along with a sentiment from Smiley Floral.  I used a retro color palette of Distress Inks and masked off each one and then stamped the sentiment.  To make it really stand out, each side was trimmed and the panel was added with foam adhesive.

The next card uses the other retro stencil included in the kit.  I again used Distress Inks in a circle pattern to create color.  The sentiment is an add-on and looks amazing with a vellum bubble layer behind the bold black.

The next card uses the Retro Floral Background stamp.  I've black heat embossed and colored using my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers for a loose watercolor.  To finish, a simple sentiment strip was adhered across the center.

The final card uses the other add-on for the kit......Retro Swirls Die.  I originally cut this out of rainbow cardstocks but ended up with this retro red, orange, and yellow stunner.  The sentiment is from the Kind People stamp set included in the kit.  

There is SO MUCH that you can do with this kit!  I will have more to share later!!

As we get older, we begin to see friends and loved ones lose family or friends.  Unfortunately, these kinds of cards are not ones we "want to make" at all.  I thought these colors for this month's challenge paired well with a sympathy card.

Images from Meadow Motifs were colored with Copics and arranged on a standard circle.  The circle was layered over a panel of light gray cardstock that was stenciled with a light gray ink over the Laural Leaves Stencil.  A few sentiment strips were added for the sentiments.  Great layout for this month's sketch!

Avery Elle / Camping Critters

Hello!  
I have a card using the cutest critters going CAMPING!  I have very fond memories of going camping every weekend growing up and I remember sitting by the fire roasting marshmallows!

Starting out,  Distress Ink was blended to create a night sky using Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, and Broken China.  The panel was spritzed with water droplets and then with Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray.

The images were Copic colored and die cut using the coordinating Camping Critters Elle-ments.  The grassy hill the critters are sitting on is a strip of Peeled Paint Distress Ink that was hand trimmed.  The critters were added with foam adhesive.  Instead of adding a sentiment strip, the sentiment was stamped directly to the note card below the scene.
