Here are the new ink colors:

Peppermint Scrub
Mandarin Spice
Sauna
Green Tea
Eucalyptus
Daydream
Juniper Mist
Royal Treatment

Aren't these names awesome? This is the perfect, rich, sophisticated color collection! They fill so many color holes and they stamp absolutely perfect!  If you have been following Catherine the past week, she has been revealing all the new SPA Collection colors and they are DIVINE!

My first card uses one of the new stamp sets and 3 of the new inks. The new Winter Woodland set has several silhouette animals and trees. There are even matching Winter Woodland Dies (but didn't arrive in time for designing)!

Winter Woodland2

I started my card with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and ink blended Sauna, Royal Treatment, and Juniper Mist for a sunset sky (find all the inks HERE). They blended beautifully!! I added splatters of Heidi Swapp White Color Shine and then stamped my trees to the right in Midnight Ink. I hand trimmed some snowy hills and added Prisma Glitter to the edges. I stamped and hand trimmed the deer and bunny images. Then I arranged them where I wanted them and stamped the antlers in Midnight Ink as well. After all elements were adhered, I stamped the sentiment onto a white banner and added it with foam adhesive.

Best Plaid

My second card uses the new Plaid Background Stamp and the new ink, Peppermint Scrub. To stamp the plaid, I barely tapped my ink pad to the stamp to cover the surface and then laid my piece of white cardstock over and rubbed. Beautiful plaid!!! I created my sentiment using the Simply the Best stamp set and Best Die. I can't wait to create more plaids in other colors!!

Avery Elle / Winter Release Blog Hop

Modern Calligraphy

Hello and Welcome to the Winter 2017 Release Blog Hop with Avery Elle!  There are 8 new stamp sets and 9 new die sets releasing today.  Definitely something for everyone and they are not holiday related!

All products are available for purchase in the Avery Elle store right now.

If you are a fan of calligraphy or don't have the best handwriting like me, then you need to add the Modern Calligraphy stamps to your collection.  I customized my card by using the Modern Calligraphy stamps to stamp my sentiment "amazing" along with a supporting sentiment from Sentimental Too.  The florals in the right upper corner are included in the Modern Calligraphy stamp set and they have a coordinating die too.  To add some interest, I added the Wonky Squares Elle-ments to the perimeter of my card.  My florals were colored in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers onto Bristol Smooth cardstock.

I also customized an envelope (that will be hand delivered) with the recipients name and one of the floral accents in the left lower corner.

My second card uses the Kitchen Love stamp set and coordinating Kitchen Love Confetti Cuts.

Kitchen Love

I used a technique that I love to do but forget about!  I 'colored' in my images by stamping them with the BACKSIDE of the stamp and then turning it over and stamping the actual stamp in black ink!  I pulled the ink colors from the striped pattern paper from Cheerful & Kind which were Baby Blue, Parakeet, Tangerine, Coral inks from Reverse Confetti.  To tone down all the patterns, I layered a thin sheet of vellum over the stamped panel and stamped the sentiment in black StazOn onto the vellum.  For the fancy scallop edge, I used the Edgers Confetti Cuts.

Happy Winter has to be my favorite set of this release!  I see warm cozy sweater patterns and warm fires.  I chose to stamp my fuzzy hat in Avocado Reverse Confetti ink as well as the pattern on Avocado cardstock in the background.  I overlayed the background with the Large Diamond Cover Panel done in white cardstock.  To finish, I white heat embossed a sentiment from Sno Awesome onto a black strip of Black cardstock.

Sno Awesome2

I'm sharing the adorable Sno Awesome stamp set along with this fun confetti pattern paper from the new Cheerful & Kind paper pad.  I wanted a simple layout to focus on the polka dot paper so to make my vertical strip stand out, I used the zig zag die from Edge Essentials.  How cute is that sentiment?  To make the crystals on the snow cone, I used holographic embossing powder from Ranger!

Lil' Inker Designs / 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Welcome to the 25 Days of Christmas Tags!
With the holidays fast approaching, it's time for Tracey McNeely's
annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Make sure to check out her blog for all the details on the sponsors, ways to win, and how to link up your own tags!
Tracey's blog:  In My Creative Opinion
I am helping celebrate today's sponsor, Lil' Inker Designs, by sharing my own tag!

I made a set of tags using one of my favorite Lil' Inker Designs stamp sets.......Rustic Christmas.  For my tags, I've used the Anytime Tag 2 Dies that has stitching around the perimeter for that perfect rustic feel.  I white heat embossed the images from Rustic Christmas onto the tags and set aside.  For my sentiments, I stamped the words from Filled Christmas Trees onto scraps of white cardstock and colored in the letters with a R29 Copic.  The sentiment strips were hand trimmed on one side and added to my tags.
