Dreaming of Fall Florals.....

Dream It by Amy Kolling2

Hello friends!  I have a card that I just had to share here but can be found in its entirety over on the Taylored Expressions Blog last week.

tayloredexpressions

I am such a sucker for floral dies!!  These new sets from Taylored Expressions are called Mini Bloomers Dies and Bloomers Greenery Dies.  I've added some white pigment pen detail to the leaves and intertwined them with a frame from Frame in Frame Cutting Plate.  Look at the details in the frame!  This is a must have frame set!

October Verve Diva Inspiration Hop!

It's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop! There are two ways to win Verve prizes: comment on the design team's blog hop posts (linked below) to see their take on the inspiration, then go get inky and link up your take on the challenge to be eligible in our prize drawings! You have the until November 5 to link up, so feel free to play as often as you like.

Our October challenge is Black, White and Glam

October always has a bit of glamour and intrigue to it. A stroll through the craft store this time of year brings visions of glitzy pumpkins, gilded candelabras and rhinestones galore. So this month we’re challenging you to to get glamorous with black, white and metallics. Use the inspiration graphic or go off on your own tangent, just share a little bit of glam with us!

I pulled out the Bountiful Harvest set for these beautiful "striped" pumpkins.  I white heat embossed them onto black cardstock and watercolored them with metallic watercolors.  This is so hard to capture in my photo!  To add more metallic to my card, I layerd some gold glitter tape underneath my black panel and added some gold glitter enamel dots.

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we've got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blogtoday for all the prize info and deadlines!

Lil' Inker Designs October Release: Day 3

Amy - Make a Santa2

Welcome to Day 3 of the Lil' Inker Designs October Release!  This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps that are so perfect for the HOLIDAYS.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from Jennifer Carter's blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

I have so much to share with you today!!!  4 projects!!  There are so many new dies and stamps......it was hard to quit creating!

This card uses one of the cutest die sets......Make a Santa.  It was actually designed to use with the Triangle Treat Holder Die.  My sentiment is from the new Christmas Word Tag Dies.  I paired my Santa up with these other previously products:

Amy - Make a Santa

My next card uses the new Merry & Bright Holiday Greeting Die.  I went for a chalkboard look to this card and layered some bokeh pattern paper behind my "present".  Some of the other previously used products:

Amy - Merry & Bright

My third card uses the new Ornamental Christmas Stamps and Dies.  Instead of using this image as a tag, I made it the focal point of my non-traditional holiday card.  My tree was layered over some twine and wood veneers added for a homespun feel.  Some of the other previously used products:

Amy - Ornamental Christmas

For my last card, I've used the new All the Christmas You'll Ever Need Stamps and Oh My Ornament Dies.  I made this elegant and a glitter shaker!  I used some very fine white glitter from Martha Stewart to resemble snow!  Some of the other previously used products:

Now for the fun part!  There is a $15 gift certificate up for grabs for one lucky person who comments along the way!  One winner is chosen for each day!!

Lil' Inker Designs October Release: Day 2

Amy - Acorn Dies2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs October Release!  This release is FULL of amazing dies and stamps that are so perfect for the HOLIDAYS.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from Lisa Henke's blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

Today, I'm going FALL for my projects using the new release from Lil' Inker Designs.  Check it out!

How about the new update version of the Acorn Dies and Nuts About You Stamps?  They were adorable then and especially now!  I made some tiny shaker "ACORNS" using these new dies!  They were filled with the new Autumn Harvest mini sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  My acorn shakers were layered onto a Stitched Hearts Die which was layered to my note card that was cut using the Cover Up Die: Stitched Woodgrain.  My sentiment was stamped onto a banner and tucked behind my largest acorn shaker.

Next up.....the Leaf Love Dies that I used the other day on the Cardmaker Blog Hop.  I seriously can't stop using these dies!  What I like about this set of leaf dies is that the stitching is just on the outside border of the leaf.  It leaves room to either stamp the coordinating sentiment from Leafy Greetings Stamps or leave it plain to embellish!

Amy - Leafy Greetings

I used the partial inlaid diecutting technique for my leaves so that they would "overlap" without being too bulky.  After diecutting my leaves, I gold heat embossed the tips.  I stamped the coordinating sentiment from Leafy Greetings Stamps on an additional yellow leaf and adhered with foam adhesive.

Has anyone heard of Kay Miller?  There is no way if you have browsed Pinterest that you have NOT came across one of Kay's masterpieces whether it's her cards or her clay ornaments.  Go ahead.....I'll give you a minute to search Pinterest for Kay Miller ornaments.  You will find TONS of her ornaments there!  Well Kay has a treat for all of her fans......she's made a SNOWFLAKE die set that was inspired by her clay ornaments!  It's just phenomenal and genius and the possibilities are truly ENDLESS!

I've used the Layered Snowflake die set by Kay and was inspired by one of her snowflakes on Pinterest for my card.  I just had to.........right?  :)  This uses plain cardstock and some touches of a white pigment pen.  Easy peasy!!  My sentiment is from the Seasonal Sentiments stamp set that was released last year.

I wrapped some pattern paper from the new Sugarplums collection by Doodlebug Design around the box.  I embellished the box with a die cut tag from the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts and added an ornament from Merry & Bright.  My tag was attached with some of The Twinery Solid Cappuccino twine.
