Clearly Whimsy Stamps: Day 1

Hi everyone and welcome to the first sneak peek day of the ...

Over the next 3 days myself and the rest of the CWS design team will reveal the new April 2014 Clearly Whimsy Stamps products. Whimsy is releasing 9 new clear stamp sets and 8 coordinating die/die sets this week, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and all good Whimsy Stamps retailers from Wednesday (23 April).

This month we are thrilled to welcome Pop’s Morfitt as our Guest Designer. Pop’s will be joining us for the entire 3 day release event and sharing her wonderful creations featuring our April release. Welcome Pop’s! Today we are revealing the COFFEE BREAK 4x6 and 3x4 stamp sets together with their coordinating die set, PLUS the HAPPY HELLO 4x6 stamp set and coordinating Hello large word die. Hop on over to the Whimsy blog to take a peek at t he new products.

For my card, I used the Coffee Break stamps and dies.  I was inspired by a post by Maile Belles for my divided panels layout......you can check out her post HERE.  This was a fun way to break up the stamped paper to add in a sentiment!

My coffee cup was die cut with the coordinating dies.  My cozy was stamped and paper pieced over my cup and a heart was added for dimension.  I coated the heart with Glossy Accents and sprinkled some charcoal gray glitter while it was wet.

A "note" of thanks

Quick post here today since my kids are out of school for Good Friday.
I made up these 3x3 mini "notes" using the Fruit Trio die set from Whimsy Stamps......I seriously think that's the cutest strawberry die I've seen!

Thank you notes

I haven't played along with the girls over at the CASology in awhile so I thought I'd link this up there!  This week their cue card is "NOTE".

Lil' Inker Designs April Release: Day 2

Welcome back to the Lil' Inker Designs April release!!!  Did you enjoy the blog hop yesterday?  So many projects to look at!!  You should have arrived from the talented Alyssa's blog.......but if not, you can start back at the beginning at the Lil' Inker Designs blog.

Today's cards are using my favorite products of this release.
First up is the new Quilted Stitched Pattern die.  A full card of stitching.....amazing!!!  I chose to stamp a tiny heart (from the Rat Race stamp set) using a rainbow of colors in every stitched box.  My sentiment is from another new set called You're My Favorite and was stamped onto vellum using black StazOn.

AmyStitched2

Here's a closeup of the stitching and a **new** ink color from Simon Says Stamp.......Lavender!

Next up is the amazing stitched frame from the Frame and Flowers die set.  I decided to make a shaped and shaker card!  Say that fast a couple of times!  LOL  To make my shaped card I trimmed down a standard A2 size cardbase to fit on the backside of my frame (my frame is layered with several diecut layers for stability).

AmyFrame1

We need to talk about these sequins that I added to my shaker frame.......3 words......Pretty Pink Posh.  I've used the Springtime Mix of sequins because there are some tiny flower sequins in there!  And don't the sequins just make you "smile"?  :)

Reverse Confetti April Color Challenge meets Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge for "confetti" time!

****This is my second post of the day.  Please scroll down for my Lil' Inker Designs new release post!!****

It's a gorgeous color palette up for you today over on the Reverse Confetti blog and I've combined it with the newest Curtain Call Challenge Inspiration!  This is one of my FAVORITE color combos especially the plum and green but the light blue thrown in there makes it even more fantastic!

I went with a "confetti" themed card.  Using the BACKS of 3 different Reverse Confetti circle stamps, I was able to achieve this look.  This is one of my favorite techniques and lets you get way more out of your stamps.  These are the circle stamps I used:  Dec.25th (Tinsel 'n Trim), "&" (I like you), "beYOUtiful" (Peacock Pretties), and polka dot (Celebrate Cake).

After stamping my "confetti", I also adhered some awesome Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  My sentiments were stamped onto banner dies from Tag Me and adhered with foam adhesive.

Lil' Inker Designs April Release: Day 1

Welcome to the Lil' Inker Designs April Release!  Fabulous new dies and stamp sets are coming out this week.....just you wait!  You should have arrived from the talented Alyssa's blog.......but if not, you can start back at the beginning at the Lil' Inker Designs blog.  This is Alyssa's last post with the DT.  Alyssa........I wish you all the best and will definitely miss you!!!

There are quite a few new dies and stamps releasing today.  You will be inspired for sure!  You can find all these products over on the Lil' Inker Designs store or over at Simon Says Stamp!

My card uses new floral dies that come with a fabulous frame die (a sample on that later this week) called Frames and Flowers Die Set.  I've used the floral dies along with the small label from the inside of the frame die.  More stitching.....I can't get enough of all the stitching Laura adds to her dies!  My sentiment comes from a new sentiment set called Quick Notes stamp set.  It showcases one of my favorite fonts and in a perfect size.

AmyFlowers1

I had so much fun die cutting and arranging these flowers and leaves!  Here is a closeup of my bouquet.

AmyFlowers2

Next up is an adorable Quick Notes Star Fold Out die..........perfect for those quick little notes I give to my kiddos either in their backpack or their mailboxes!!!  I stamped the row of stars from the Quick Notes stamp set in versamark over the entire card and then highlighted a few with Gold Wink of Stella.

AmyStar1

What's even more fun is that this folds up and fits perfectly in these tiny glassine bags that Laura has in the shop now!  Here's how I packaged my wee card:
