I can't stand it........I had to share my favorite card of the release today!  If you follow me, then you know that I'm a huge fan of floral dies.  Well...........introducing Spring Flowers Dies.

To create my card, I started off by die cutting a black Stitches and Stripes Cover It Up die.  After adhering this die cut to a white card base at the angle I needed, I trimmed off the excess on the edges........this way, the stitched lines are still evenly spaced with no measuring!  Layered over the diagonal lines, are these adorable Spring Flower die cuts using some pattern paper.  With glossy accents over a black center was the perfect touch.  The sentiment is from Modern Mehndi stamp set.

And a closeup of those gorgeous flowers!!!  Look at all that stitching!!!  LOVE!

Hello!

Hello!  Hello!

I absolutely LOVE this "hello" die from Simon Says Stamp.  It's big.  It's bold.  It's awesome!  Guess what.....If you don't like it big, Simon Says Stamp has also released a MINI version of this fantastic die!

I cut out the "hello" with paper from a previous Simon Says Stamp Card Kit and also a few times from white cardstock.  Doing this, you can layer them together for dimension without the fuss of foam adhesive.

hello

BTW......have you checked out this month's fantastic Simon Says Card Kit??  It's a must have with gorgeous bright papers and the most adorable stamp set!  You can find it HERE and a sample I have using it HERE.

That's all for me today!  I'm sure when this post goes live that I will be getting ready to head to the beach!
Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Stopping by with a quick and I mean quick card to share with you for this fun holiday!!!  I am currently on vacation heading to a very sunny beachy place......and I can't wait to celebrate when we land!

I've used this awesome set from Verve called Lucky You with the coordinating Shamrock Die Set.  I started out by making my striped background using 3/4" strips of green cardstock evenly spaced (I use a T-ruler for this and it makes it soo easy!).  The stripes made for a perfect place to stamp my sentiment.  I thought a single larger stamped/diecut shamrock image on foam adhesive was perfect to keep this CAS.  Oh, and I had to add some black gems!!!

I have some fun posts coming to my blog while I'm gone.......so stay tuned!!
Thanks so much for sharing a part of your day with me!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Farm Fresh

We have a fabulous new sponsor, Taylored Expressions, for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Farm Fresh challenge!  The LEAD of this challenge will receive their choice of TWO PETITE SETS from Taylored Expressions!

3.15.14

I've used the adorable little canning jar from the Hugs & Kisses stamp and die combo set from Taylored Expressions.  I wanted a homespun country look to my card so I pulled in the colors from the inspiration photo and added a woodgrain panel for my jar to be layered on.  My jar was was stamp, die cut, and another vellum layer adhered over the top for a 'softer' look.  A little machine stitching to the top and bottom finishes it off!

You won't want to miss what the Curtain Call Crew has whipped up for Farm Fresh!

Simon Says Stamp April 2014 Card Kit

Yay!!  It's time to reveal the newest Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for April 2014.  When I opened the box and saw the stamp set, I knew this kit was for me!  This stamp set is fantastic as are the papers (drooling here) and embellishments (ie. enamel dots...who doesn't love those?).  So are you ready to see the kit?

I have been eyeing these papers for a while and guess what?  They come in this kit!!! These bright colors are perfect to go with this Watt's Up stamp set!!!

I started my card by selecting the pattern that I wanted to go down the side......then trimmed and adhered.  Stamping the adorable lightbulb image in Simon Says Stamp Black ink and then stamping the outline image in Simon Says Stamp Sunshine ink (stamped off once for a hint of yellow) onto a white panel.  My sentiment was stamped using Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink ink.  Don't you love the scripty word in this sentiment?  This whole panel was adhered using foam adhesive to the right and a few enamel dots thrown in!  I decided to paper piece the little heart from the lightbulb with Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink cardstock and colored with Clear Wink of Stella.

you brighten my day3watermark

I hope you grab one of these kits as I think they will be VERY popular!!!
I'll have a few more cards later using this kit!

Thanks for sharing a part of your day with me!

Happy Birthday to you....

Hi everyone!  I most definitely have SPRING on the brain hence my card for today!
I must confess.....I will be using this stamp set a lot.  Now that Reverse Confetti has a floral set, it's going to see some action here in my craft room!!

I've used the newly released Petals 'n Posies Confetti Cut dies!  Today I've chosen to just work with the floral dies....no stamps.  I love that Jen designed these flowers with the centers that die cut.  Fabulous way to change the colors up and add visual interest to the blooms.

How about that frame?  I created the chevron frame (paper from Fancy Pants) using the Love Note Die and then used the rounded rectangle from Class Act dies to die cut the center out for a place to stamp my sentiment!
