Lil' Inker Designs Release Hop {Day 3}

Welcome to Day 3 of the new release from Lil' Inker Designs and this month we are celebrating the holidays!!  What do you all think of the release so far??  I'm loving it....that's for sure!

You should have arrived here from the amazing Alyssa Scritchfield......if not, please start back at the beginning over on the Lil' Inker Designs blog

Today I've decided to share a card using the largest of the new Jingle Bell Dies.  I've die cut the bell with thick silver glitter paper (almost like chipboard) and layered it with foam adhesive onto a Basic Gray tag (that was die cut using the Folding Tag Die).  My sentiment (from Jolly and Joyful Sentiments) was selectively inked with Versamark and heat embossed with White Filigree EP.  A little bit of silver metallic cord tied the whole thing together.

I'm very excited to help Mama Elephant celebrate their FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!  I've used the newest scene building set called Toy Shop.  It's just adorable!  I've used it here for a "sweet" birthday card......using the cupcake stand and lollipop images.  I've stamped my images with white ink and then colored in areas with my Copics (the white ink "resists" the Copic ink).  My rooftop looks more watercolored as I added Wink of Stella over my coloring.

Today I'm sharing a new word die:  Joy.  Word dies are so versatile.  Here I've actually die cut the 'Joy' word into the top border of the bottom piece of dotted paper.  Then I die cut a second Joy word and coated it with Martha Stewart Coarse Glitter and then inlaid the die cut word back....kind of like a puzzle.

Fall and a Birthday!

Is anyone else enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather?  We sure have with football games, baseball games, and a trip to Gary's Berries (a HUGE pumpkin patch with TONS of fun things to do) this weekend.  However, I've been gearing up for a very fun week here on the blog......a Lil' Inker Designs Release and a few *surprise* blog hops I'm helping with!  So stay tuned!  :)

I have a fun BIRTHDAY card to share using the Stitched Stars Dies from Lil' Inker Designs!  In just over a week, my *baby* will turn EIGHT so I needed a special card for her.  Where has the time gone??  *sniff, sniff*

I just love how a "little bit" of twine really dresses up a card!  I've used Tuxedo Black Timeless Twine......it's just bold and perfect!  I've added dimension with foam adhesive between the star layers and a sequin to the center star.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge: In Stitches

Welcome back to another episode of CAS-ual Fridays!!!  This week's challenge is all about STITCHES!  Remember to link up your Clean & Simple (CAS) card using any type of stitches!  This should be fun so let's see them!

I've had this sketch in my head for a while now and finally put it to use.  All the stamps are from VERVE,  I knew the pumpkins from Tall Oaks would look fabulous in a "window" card......a little stamping, coloring, and embossed sentiment was all it needed to pull it together!  Oh yeah......a few blanket stitches too!  The zigzag stamp is from Borderline and the sentiment is from Bountiful Harvest.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is one that I have grown to love.....Simon Says Stamp!  I'm going to link this up to the Simon Wednesday Challenge:  use a rubber or clear stamp!

I am the host this week over at Splitcoast Stampers for the Viva la Verve Sketch.......I'd love for you to check it out.  (For all the details, check them out HERE and then click on October week 3)
