Neat & Tangled October Release {Elves at Work}

Welcome to another day of release goodies from Neat & TangledYou are going to be so inspired by today's set......I can hardly stand it!  The holidays around my house are always so special as my kids still BELIEVE.  I don't know when this will change or if they already suspect but I'm hoping it lasts a few more years.  So one of their favorite holiday movies to watch is Elf.  Yes, it's totally funny and I love it!  So can you guess what today's set is all about??

When I first saw this set, I immediately had some ideas but the one I kept going back to perfect was some postcards.  If you follow my blog, then you know that I make mini cards to put in my kids' mailboxes (that I decorated years ago) and place them at their seat at the table on the morning of the holiday.  They LOVE this and look forward to the holidays (not just Christmas).

So here I've used the new Elves at Work stamp set.  O. M. G.  How stinkin' cute are these elves???  Danielle included a girl AND a boy elf!  Perfect for my postcards.  I started by making a frame with the Stitched Mats: Rectangles dies.  Stamping a couple of sneak peak images here, I paired them with the girl elf and the boy elf.

I've colored my Elves with various Copics and fussy cut them out.  Yep.....I did that.  :)  I applied some white Enamel Accents to the tops of the hat and shoes.  Gives it just a bit of dimension.  Here is a photo of both postcards together.

Now, I couldn't let the inside go undone so I stamped another sneak peek image that coordinated with my postcard perfectly!!

 Today's set we are showcasing is called Little Bear.  I used this set and stamped and pieced together a simple little scene.  I just fell in love with that bear.  Here I've colored the bear with various Copics and stamped some pawprints.  I was going for a soft childlike feel to this card.....I have several little people that I can give this too!

12 Kits of Christmas {September Kit}

Can I start to sing Christmas carols yet? Hello! I'm here to share with you the September Kit in our 12 Kits of Christmas group I'm so honored to be in. This month Kara sent out some sweet shabby items!  Check out Kara's blog at KandRDesigns!!  You won't be disappointed!

For my first card, I focused on the wonderful word dies (which I don't have but will soon!).  I have been going for a simpler look to my cards lately and this one is no exception!  I think this card is one of my favorites so far that I've made for the 12 Kits!  That background paper is just so subtle without making it too busy when adding in my few goodies from the kit!

Merry Christmas

My second card may be familiar to you......I used this layout on a previous 12 Kits card and it's become one of my favorites to use when working with pattern papers!  Again, going with a simple look, I think the banners add just the right touch!!  That awesome brad was included in the kit too!

 What did you think?  Kara sure knew what she was doing when she came up with this kit as I LOVED it!  Thank you Kara!  Now, there is lots more inspiration to go see.....check out the list below for the rest of the group!  See you next month!

Lil' Inker Designs September Release Blog Hop {Day 5}

Hi everyone! Welcome to the last day of inspiration for the September Lil' Inker Designs release!  You should have arrived from the LID blog HERE to start the hop today.

We've shown you balloons, party hats, invitation stamps, and adorable fall images for coloring. So today we have another new die to share.....the Stitched Sentiment Flag Die!  We couldn't have a sentiment flag die without the signature Lil' Inker Designs perforations, now could we?  I think this is my favorite of them yet!  And what's better is that this new die is on SALE for a limited time at a discounted price!

I needed a baby card this past week and thought I would create a simple pastel banner using the new stitched flags!  Also adorning the flags are the tiny bows from the Flip Flop set!  Adding in a small gem finishes it off.  The sentiment is stamped in charcoal ink that is complimentary to the twine used for hanging the banner!

Let's Celebrate!

Here is the closeup of the tiny bows......I just love them!  Perfect for a super CAS card!

If you are on the right track, you should have arrived here from the Lil' Inker Designs blog HERE.

So today not only are we still showing off those fabulous new Balloons, Party Hats, and You're Invited stamp set, we have another new product to the LID lineup!  Check out these new dies!  They are the new Stitched Mats:  Rectangles!  The largest die in this nested set of 6 was designed specifically to cut a stitched border around the edge of an A2 (4.25 x 5.5 in.) card base. It's the most amazing effect!

I guess I still have birthday on the brain when I made this.  The balloon dies with the signature stitching were used to go along with the Stitched Mats!  This is the smallest mat and it's perfect to fit lots of sentiments in!  Here I've used the Sun Sentiments stamps (also from Lil' Inker Designs).

Lil' Inker Designs September Blog Hop {Day 1}

Hi everyone!  It's new release time for Lil' Inker Designs!  This month we are combining our Design Teams for one BIG release!  Not only will you be seeing new goodies from the Lil' Inker Designs team, you will be seeing new stamps from the 2 Cute Ink/Sugar Kissed Cottage team (aka..Color Team).  If you are on the right track, you should have arrived from Lindsey Amschler's blog.  If not, please start at the Lil' Inker Designs blog HERE.

So we have some extra FUN goodies to celebrate today!  Balloons, Party Hats, and Invitation goodies!  Well, it's no secret that NEON is back "in", right?  If you walk by the teen clothing stores in the mall, that's all you see.....NEON.  My daughter, she's six, is totally infatuated with the store Justice even though we've only shopped there twice (purchasing a whopping 4 items).  This store is full of NEON.  So with her birthday coming up fast, I thought it would be fun to use the invitation set, party hats, and balloons for some of her party items.

First up, is the invitation.  I've used some NEON colored library pockets that I picked up at the Dollar Tree to hold the invitation.  Since these were very inexpensive, I didn't feel bad cutting up the extras to die cut my party hats!

The front of the pocket is stamped with the star border and words from the You're Invited stamp set.  I embellished the front with the stars left over from die cutting and some Charcoal Twine from The Twinery.  Here's a close up of the party hat and the finished invitation.

Next up is a Thank You card I whipped up in the same NEON colors to coordinate using the new Balloon Dies!  Oh I love these!  So fun to pair them with the oodles of colors of twine I have!  LOL  Here I've gone with the ever popular trend........a polaroid.  The "thank you" sentiment is also from the You're Invited stamp set that will be released!

I'm going to send this card over to the Focal Point Challenge in the Moxie Fab World
