Hi everyone! Sorry for the lapse here in blogland but life has just been too crazy and has actually given me a chance to look into the future of this 'ole blog. More to come on that at a later date once I decide things. That being said........thank you for checking in on me! I soo appreciate each one of you that take your time to stop by and comment. This means much more than I can ever say here! So I've had some major things happening lately with my workplace and it has stressed me out completely. On top of that we purchased a new vehicle and well, enough said. :)
So, are you ready for my monthly 12 Kits of Christmas post? This month Joyce was our hostess and she is interrupting the regularly scheduled 12 Kits of Christmas to bring us a new program! We are celebrating Chanukah here this month!
Here is some background info: Chanukah, also spelled Hanuka or Hanukkah, is not a very important Jewish holiday, but it is a fun one, nevertheless. It celebrates the rededication of the temple in Jerusaleum after it was attacked by the Greeks, and is also known as the festival of lights. It is normally celebrated by lighting candles on a Menorah, playing dreidel, and eating latkes (Potato pancakes). And, of course, presents. In 2012, Chanukah starts the evening of Saturday, December 8 and ends the evening of Saturday, December 16th.

First of all, aren't the colors of this kit incredible? So bright and cheery! I chose to create a little favor it box that was entirely embellished with ingredients from this kit. This box can be filled with Chanukah Gelt (chocolate coins) for a fun little gift.
Next up is a card created to finish the gift but can certainly be used for any occasion. I will most definitely be using my Tranquility Trilogy set after this! (yes yes, it's not been used.....come on, I know you have sets like this too!)
Here is the set together.....................
Here is the list of wonderful, talented, awesome ladies that help us celebrate each and every month. Please go check out their blogs and see what they have created with Joyce's Chanukah kit!

I love both of your projects this month. That treat box looks so fun all dressed up. And, I don't know why I didn't think of lining up those triangles just like you did....they look great. Don't feel too bad about that set, because I used it more to create this kit than I ever did before.
You did such a great job with these pieces! I really like how you arranged the triangles on the bottom card! Your design on the box is cute too! I like that the yellow piece is front and center! It really pops!
Amy, I hope everything is okay. Thinking of you my friend.
Your card and sweet little box are gorgeous. Love, love, love those triangles.
Lynn
These are fabulous!!
Love the way you created the card to go with the gift...
which that gift box is perfect!! :)
And of course I have oodles that do not see the lovin' they deserve...
isn't that what we're supposed to do...
hoard? *giggle*
Everything's going to get better...
time and deep breaths...
a few steps back so that you can move forward...
it all works out in the end, Sweetie...
promise! :)
Sending hugs for now though!
Your clean graphic style always blows me away Amy. I don't mean to keep saying that but it is always my first thought when I see your work. Everything looks perfect - clean sharp lines and totally finished without adding a bunch of embellishments! I like the scored lines on your card that the triangles sit between - it really sets it off - and that sweet button. Well done!
Your card with the triangles is just so creative and you better break open that set of yours...you certainly know what to do with it now! (You are right, we all have unused sets too) I loved the scored lines with this one, goes perfectly with the lines on the triangle images.
Wow! Your card is creative and clever, the way you added the scor lines and those triangles images-such a clever use for those and I can honestly say, I do not have that set and will have to check it out once I finish leaving my comments...just too cute and perfect for a Chanukah gift. Your treat holder is so sweet and ready for some candy.
Amy your projects are just fantastic! I love your treat box, it is so cute. Joyce was so brilliant to create this kit.
Amy, these are SO wonderful! I love the CAS style. You did a fabulous job with the treat box and your card is so awesome. I have that set but never use it so I'm so glad Joyce included the triangles. Love how you used them! The score lines are a great way to accent them and I adore the little button!
Beautiful treat box and card Amy! You're so smart to add the score lines. Seems like a lot going on in your life , hope it gets easer , and you will be stressed less. Love your creations and hugs to you!
Amy, I'm sorry that you've been going through a lot in your life lately that is stressful! I hope that everything comes together and becomes easier soon, and whatever you decide about your blog, we'll be behind you, but I hope you don't go away, I'd miss you too much! All that creativity! So anyway, I'm loving both projects you made. The bag looks great with the plaid paper, and the way the banner hangs off the page, I like the way you tied the ribbon, too. And the card, I love that embossed line and the way you layered the triangles, great!
Love your clean and classic style Amy! Both of your projects are so cute! I really love what you did with the triangle pieces! I'm really enjoying all the blue and yellow this month:)
Hope things calm down for you a bit! And don't worry about keeping up your blog:) What's that saying? Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind;)
Wonderful projects, love them!! So pretty!!
Love the triangles lined up and the scored detail!! Cute treat box too!!!
Love your cute box and the tranquilty trilogy card is classy! What a fun kit this month! Love everyone's projects!
You did awesome on these! Love that box! Too cute!
First off, I'm sorry to hear you've had some upheaval in your life lately, and I hope it all works out for the best!
I LOVE that little treat box and the way you layered the postage die over the oval label. And your card is so incredibly clever and graphic! Love the clean white space and simple button embellishment.
Oh Amy! The stacked triangles are pure genius, and I love the box - never would have thought to put the square inside the oval but it looks amazing!
Amy LOVE your little set you made up!! I really like you girls switched up your kit this month! How FUN!!!
Have a GREAT day!
